The spectra of the collimated polarization bremsstrahlung of 7-MeV electrons intersecting Al, Cu, and Ni polycrystalline films have been measured. Detailed quantitative comparison of the experimental data with theoretical predictions has been performed. It has been shown that the model of a polycrystal as an ensemble of randomly oriented single crystals adequately describes the experimental results. This makes it possible to expect the development of a new method of diagnostics of the atomic structure of partially ordered solids.  相似文献

Cellulose myristate samples with a degree of substitution of 230–250 have been studied by the methods of molecular hydrodynamics (viscometry, analytical ultracentrifugation (flotation), and isothermal translational diffusion) in chloroform in the range M = (56–652) × 103. The experimental evidence has been interpreted within the framework of the generalized wormlike Yamakawa-Fuji model with the following parameters: the persistence length a = 115 × 10?8 cm, the chain diameter d = 45 × 10?8 cm, and the molecular mass per unit chain length M L = 270 × 108 cm?1. It has been inferred that the polymer dissolves in chloroform in the form of dimers.  相似文献

The excitation of a two-level system by a chirped laser pulse is analyzed using an analytical approach (in the perturbation-theory limit) that involves the modified rotating-wave approximation and the numerical solution to the Bloch equation. The dependence of the population of the upper energy level on the chirp is studied for various radiation intensities and pulse durations. An exact solution is compared with the result obtained using the modified rotating-wave approximation and the perturbation theory. It is demonstrated that, for a certain range of parameters, the excitation probability of a two-level system can be effectively controlled via a variation in the chirp.  相似文献

Within the framework of the first Born approximation and a simple model of the structural factor, the bremsstrahlung of fast charged particles on polyatomic clusters is calculated and analyzed with regard to the polarization mechanism in a wide spectral range including a domain of high frequencies. The role of cooperative phenomena in the static and polarization channels of bremsstrahlung is investigated. It is established that these phenomena, being negligible for static bremsstrahlung, substantially influence the polarization bremsstrahlung. It is shown that the constructive interference between the contributions of the atoms of a cluster to the polarization bremsstrahlung substantially increases its intensity and changes its dependence on the basic parameters of the problem compared with the case of bremsstrahlung on an isolated atom.  相似文献

The detailed comparison between static (frozen core) and polarization radiation emission channel in electron-tungsten ions collisions is presented. Both Bremsstrahlung and radiative recombination spectra are calculated for different ion charges Zi and electron energies E. The consideration is based on quasiclassical approach using statistical (Thomas-Fermi) and local plasma frequency models for ion cores as well as rotational approximation for emission spectra. The frequency and energy domains where polarization channel is comparable or even dominates over static one are determined. The results are of interest for modern magnetic fusion investigations of plasmas with tungsten impurity.  相似文献

The possibility of the phase control for the excitation of a quantum system in the discrete spectrum under the action of a short high-intensity laser pulse with a controlled phase is theoretically analyzed. The analysis is performed using the example of the simplest two-level system (TLS) employing a numerical solution to equations for the optical Bloch vector. It is demonstrated that the excitation probability and the mean dipole moment of the quantum system, which determine the normal luminescence and the superradiance in the TLS ensemble, respectively, substantially depend on the phase of the laser pulse for relatively short and powerful laser pulses.  相似文献

The IR photoabsorption cross section of a semiconductor nanoparticle has been calculated. Light is absorbed by conduction electrons and trapped electrons in the volume and surface of the nanoparticle. Electron concentrations have been obtained by minimizing the total free energy of charges in the system. The photoabsorption cross section has two characteristic maxima corresponding to the absorption by conduction electrons and by trapped electrons in the nanoparticle volume. The number of trapped electrons on the surface is relatively small, so that they do not contribute to the total cross section.  相似文献
