Choosing an appropriate ion source is a crucial step in liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC/MS) method development. In this paper, we compare four ion sources for LC/MS analysis of 40 pesticides in tomato and garlic matrices. We compare electrospray ionisation (ESI) source, thermally focused/heated electrospray (HESI), atmospheric pressure photoionisation (APPI) source with and without dopant, and multimode source in ESI mode, atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation (APCI) mode, and combined mode using both ESI and APCI, i.e. altogether seven different ionisation modes. The lowest limits of detection (LoDs) were obtained by ESI and HESI. Widest linear ranges were observed with the conventional ESI source without heated nebuliser gas. In comparison to HESI, ESI source was significantly less affected by matrix effect. APPI ranked second (after ESI) by not being influenced by matrix effect; therefore, it would be a good alternative to ESI if low LoDs are not required.

We review here the results of our investigations concerning chaotic atomic scattering in the presence of a laser field. Particular emphasis is put on the existence of classical stable resonance structures, induced by the intense laser field, which are embedded in the field-free continuum. We show that phase space structures in the vicinity of a resonance island play an important role in the chaotic scattering behavior and form the basis for a mechanism to enhance the lifetimes of the collisional partners. Quantum calculations, based on a wave packet propagation method, show that quantum solutions are strongly influenced by the classical phase space structures. More specifically, a wave packet is found to spread differently in the regular and chaotic regions; in the latter case it spreads exponentially with time until saturation occurs, defining the saturation time. We also investigate the dependence of the spreading rates in both the regular and chaotic regimes. Calculations with an ensemble of classical trajectories are also presented to further illustrate the smoothing effects of varying.  相似文献

A finely ground fibrillated cellulose was fractionated into separate size fractions. The characteristics of the smallest size fractions were studied, and the toxicity to humans was tested as part of a safety assessment. Morphological studies performed with state-of-the-art methods, such as scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy, showed that the fraction obtained consisted of long thin fibrils but also larger fibril agglomerates, and spherical particles were present. The finest fraction did not show any sub-lethal effects as assessed by RNA inhibition test in vitro, nor were there any indications of genotoxicity as tested by the Ames test in vitro. Systemic effects tested in vivo with the nematode were also absent. No cytotoxic effects were seen in the highest tolerated dose test in vitro, but some indication of cytotoxicity was observed in the total protein content test in vitro at the highest sample concentration. The significance of this toxicity test result should be addressed in relation to the other toxicity tests, in which no toxicity was observed, with special emphasis on the in vivo test. Given this, the overall toxicity analyses support the conclusion that nano-scale cellulose fibrils can be considered to be safe towards humans. However, the reason for the positive cytotoxicity test result and, in addition, the effect of the biocide used in sample preservation on the toxicity tests need to be clarified before generalizing these results and declaring nanocellulose to be unambiguously safe.  相似文献

Cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX) are key targets for the development of new anti-inflammatory agents. LOX, which is involved in the biosynthesis of mediators in inflammation and allergic reactions, was selected for a biochemical screening campaign to identify LOX inhibitors by employing the main natural product library of Brazilian biodiversity. Two prenyl chalcones were identified as potent inhibitors of LOX-1 in the screening. The most active compound, (E)-2-O-farnesyl chalcone, decreased the rate of oxygen consumption to an extent similar to that of the positive control, nordihydroguaiaretic acid. Additionally, studies on the mechanism of the action indicated that (E)-2-O-farnesyl chalcone is a competitive LOX-1 inhibitor. Molecular modeling studies indicated the importance of the prenyl moieties for the binding of the inhibitors to the LOX binding site, which is related to their pharmacological properties.  相似文献

The purpose of the study is to describe the effect of a suppressor to environmental noise with a typical Finnish rifle shooting range that has a shooting shelter and some noise berms. The noise measurements were carried out at Kyronpelto shooting range situated near Mikkeli in Finland. The range is equipped with wooden shooting shelter, the shooting distance is 150 m, and it has berms on sides and at the impact end. The terrain is relatively flat in the area. The best noise area reduction caused by a suppressor could be seen at angles of 315–45° from the shooting direction. The projectile noise dominates at angles 45–70°, and the effect of the suppressor is very small. To the side and back the shooting shelter has already gained significant noise attenuation, and therefore the suppressor cannot reduce the noise area much more. When there was a relatively tight shooting shelter to the side and back, the suppressor did not reduce the environmental noise area significantly any more. It can be calculated that the noise area of 65 dB (LAImax) is reduced from 95 ha to 50 ha (0.95 km2–0.50 km2) with the help of a suppressor. However, most of the area is situated to the shooting sector and it has to be unoccupied for safety reasons.  相似文献

A new amphiphilic derivative of fullerene C60 bearing an oligoglycyl tail (C60CHCOgly2OEt, 2) formed stable Langmuir floating films at the air–water interface. This occurred when the molecular assembly was stabilized by anchoring the amphiphilic C60's to the aqueous subphase, via hydrogen bonding interactions between a dipeptide (Gly–L–Leu) dissolved in the water subphase, and the oligoglycyl chain. The compression (π−A) isotherm of the Langmuir floating film constructed in such a way showed no hysteresis, was steep, and evidenced that the monolayer collapsed at a surface pressure π65 mN m−1, thus confirming that the film was tightly packed, extremely stable, and rigid. A limiting area per molecule of 89.1 Å2 was extrapolated, in agreement with the calculated cross-section area of the C60 fullerene. On the contrary, when the dipeptide was absent and pure water was used as the subphase, the π−A isotherm yielded a limiting area <55 Å2 which indicated the formation of multiple layers; moreover it showed significant hysteresis, the film was fragile, and it collapsed at π≈50 mN m−1. Once anchored by the dipeptide, the floating monolayer of 2 could be transferred onto hydrophobic quartz, glass and silicon substrates, by successive vertical dipping cycles, each cycle made up of two down-strokes and two up-strokes, to yield the Langmuir–Blodgett film. Up to 200 down- and up-strokes could be repeated reproducibly, a noteworthy result for non-covalently assembled LB films of fullerenes. The transfer ratio was 1.0, except for the second down-stroke of each cycle that gave a transfer ratio of zero, making the sequence of successful transfers: D, U, U, (cleaning and spreading), D, U, U, (cleaning and spreading), and so on (D=down-stroke, U=up-stroke). The total number of deposited layers was therefore 150. X-ray diffraction spectra were registered and exhibited a peak, which was fitted by a Montecarlo method of simulation to obtain the distribution of the repeat unit responsible for scattering; such distribution, with thickness between 20 and 60 Å, was consistent with the size of the amphiphile and the transfer sequence. The UV–Vis spectra of the LB film exhibited the characteristic C60 bands, and the absorption peaks in the 200–400 nm range were proportional to the number of layers, indicating that the deposition was reproducible and that the molecular environment of C60 in each layer remained constant.  相似文献

Phthalocyanines are macrocycles with an appealing diversification of characteristics of fundamental interest in contemporary advanced technologies. On the other side, the Langmuir-Blodgett method permits to deposit films with a substantial control over thickness and molecular organisation. As a natural consequence, this review deals with an actual subject of attention in up-to-date research, the employment of Langmuir-Blodgett films of phthalocyanines in chemical sensors for the revelation of analytes in both gas and liquid phases. Experimental data on the structure, morphology and surface properties of the multilayers are connected with the most relevant characteristics of sensors, in order to discover the intimate relationships between the sensor performances and the peculiarities and molecular organisation induced by the deposition technique. The integration of the unconventional electrical and optical properties of phthalocyanines with the potentialities of the Langmuir-Blodgett thin films has generated not only promising expectations, but has given also certainties about the realisation of functional sensing devices.  相似文献

We have constructed a fast atomic-beam collinear laser spectroscopy system connected to the on-line isotope separator facility GARIS/IGISOL at RIKEN. This system is potentially powerful in studying refractory elements. To test the system, an off-line collinear experiment was made on stable Hf isotopes produced by means of laser ablation technique. For production of radioactive Hf isotopes, the use of the inverse kinematics of a fusion reaction,9Be(166Er,xn)175-x Hf, was investigated. The radioactive isotope169Hf was successfully extracted from GARIS/IGISOL and accelerated up to 30 keV.  相似文献

We consider the equations which describe the motion of a viscous compressible fluid, taking into consideration the case of inflow and/or outflow through the boundary. By means of some a priori estimates we prove the existence of a global (in time) solution.
