We report a new coherence and interference phenomenon in a V-typesystem with an external field coupling two upper levels. It is found that the probe gain can be generated even when no probe field is applied to the system, we attribute this result to the existence of the external field. By comparing with the conventional probe gain, the probe gain without the probe field is enhanced greatly because of the absence of the population inversion term. 相似文献

First we present a theoretical analysis of classical noise in ghost imaging system based on the coherent-mode representation theory. The classical noise depends crucially on the distribution of the eigenvalues of the coherent-mode representation of the source and the decomposition coefficients of the object imaged. We show that both decreasing the distribution of the decomposition coefficients and increasing the distribution of the eigenvalues can lead to the decrease of classical noise. 相似文献

The effects from quantum coherence via decays and incoherent pumping on the lasing without inversion(LWI) are investigated in a four-level system.By analyzing the transient and steady-state behaviors of the absorption,we find that the gain occurs when both spontaneously generated coherence(SGC) and coherence induced by incoherent pumping(IPC) are considered. We attribute the occurrence of the gain to the interaction of quantum coherence via decays and incoherent pumping. 相似文献

Giant Kerr nonlinearity induced by interacting quantum coherences from decays and incoherent pumping 下载免费PDF全文
A scheme for generating the giant enhancement of the Kerr nonlinearity in a four-level system with the quantum coherences from the decays and the incoherent pumping is proposed.Compared with that generated in a general fourlevel system, the Kerr nonlinearity can be enhanced by several orders of magnitude with vanishing linear absorption.By using the numerical results,we show that the remarkable enhancement should be attributed to the interaction of the quantum coherences from the decays and the incoherent pumping. 相似文献

Factors influencing the quality of lensless ghost imaging are investigated. According to the experimental results, we find that the imaging quality is determined by the number of independent sub light sources on the imaging plane of the reference arm. A qualitative picture based on advanced wave optics is presented to explain the physics behind the experimental phenomena. The present results will be helpful to provide a basis for improving the quality of ghost imaging systems in future works. 相似文献

The vibration is one of the important factors affecting imaging quality of conventional remote sensing imaging because the relative motion between the imaging system and the target can result in the degradation of imaging quality. The influence of the vibration of the detector in the test path on reflective ghost imaging(RGI) is investigated theoretically and experimentally. We analyze the effects of the vibrating amplitude and velocity. The results demonstrate that the microvibrations of the bucket detector have almost no impact on the imaging resolution and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of RGI, i.e., the degradation of imaging quality caused by the vibration of the detector can be overcome to some extent. Our results can be helpful for remote sensing imaging. 相似文献
