The influence of the air humidity upon the thermal decomposition of diammonium hydrogen phosphate was studied in a fluidized bed, under isothermal conditions. It was found that the increase of the decomposition rate is influenced directly by the partial pressure of the water vapour in the air, and indirectly by the working temperature. The moisture effect is explained by the salt hydrolysis in the water condensed on the grain surface. The energy of activation of the thermal decomposition decreases when the air humidity increases.
<blockquote>Zusammenfassung Der Einfluß der Luftfeuchtigkeit auf die thermische Zersetzung des Diammoniumhydrogenphosphats wurde in fluidisiertem Bett unter isothermen Verhältnissen studiert. Die Zunahme der Zersetzungsgeschwindigkeit war direkt proportional dem partialen Wasserdampfdruck in der Luft und indirekt proportional der Arbeitstemperatur. Diese Wirkung wird durch Salzhydrolyse in dem kondensierten Wasser an der Kernoberfläche erklärt. Die Aktivierungsenergie der thermischen Zersetzung nimmt mit zunehmendem Feuchtigkeitsgehalt ab.blockquote>

In order to eliminate the errors of the TG method with a static layer, and to determine the influence of the heating rate, the composition of the carrier gas and the particle size of the solids, a method of thermal gas evolution from a fluidized bed (FTGE) with continuous and linear increase of temperature was worked out and the thermal decomposition of diammonium hydrogen phosphate was followed. This method gives reproducible results and makes possible the determination of the apparent activation energies and kinetic parameters.

Yellowing and IR-changes of spruce wood as result of UV-irradiation   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
The yellowing and IR-changes of spruce wood as a result of UV-irradiation were studied using two different types of xenon lamps (lambda>300 nm; I(o)=50 mW cm(-2) and lambda>280 nm; I(o)=17.5 mW cm(-2)). Changes in the IR spectra as well as the yellowing of the irradiated wood surfaces show the influence of UV light on the wood modules. The UV-irradiation (72 h; lambda>300 nm; I(o)=50 mW cm(-2)) decreased the lignin content on the surface by up to 20% of the original values. The colour difference of yellowing (deltaE) exhibited a systematic trend to higher values with increasing irradiation time. Our results show that the photoyellowing (UV-Vis detection) correlates very well with lignin degradation (IR detection). This result is in agreement with the quinone formation as the chromophoric reaction product of lignin decay. The degradation, yellowing, and oxidation kinetics differed only little using different light sources. The absorbed light intensity, which depends on wavelength, the intensity distribution of the light source and the absorption spectrum of lignin, influenced the degradation rate. Under the current experimental conditions, the absorption spectrum of lignin was the most important factor. Therefore, irradiation with lambda>280 nm is useful for rapidly monitoring the UV-degradation of wood  相似文献

This paper presents the results of measurements of the mechanical and electrical properties of as-received pure and lead-doped crystals of potassium chloride. The critical resolved shear stress of the crystals obeys the Franks relationship in the whole concentration range. In addition, the correlation between 0 and the Vickers hardness numberH was found and the equation is of the form 0=k (HH 0). The solubility of Pb2+ in as-received KCl crystals was observed, from measurements of the electrical conductivity, to be low—the successive saturation of the solid solution started already in an environment of 5 mole ppm in agreement with data from the mechanical measurements. The density of cation vacancies and their mobility were represented by the following euqations 1 T=6·25×104 exp(–·75/kT) cm2 K/volt. sec,n 1=6·95×1023 exp(–2·12/kT) vacancies/cm3 The value of 0sd46±0·02 eV was found as a rough estimate of the association energy.The authors wish to express their thanks to Professor Dr. J. Porphyrins are large organic molecules that are interesting for different applications, such as photovoltaic cells, gas sensors, or in catalysis. For many of these applications, the interactions between adsorbed molecules and surfaces play a crucial role. Studies of porphyrins on surfaces typically fall into one of two groups: (1) evaporation onto well-defined single-crystal surfaces under well-controlled ultrahigh vacuum conditions or (2) more application-oriented wet chemical deposition onto less well-defined high surface area surfaces under ambient conditions. In this study, we will investigate the wet chemical deposition of 5-(monocarboxyphenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin (MCTPP) on well-defined rutile TiO2(110) single crystals under ambient conditions. Prior to deposition, the TiO2(110) crystals were also cleaned wet-chemically under ambient conditions, meaning none of the preparation steps were done in ultrahigh vacuum. However, after each preparation step, the surfaces were characterized in ultrahigh vacuum with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and the result was compared with porphyrin layers prepared in ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) by evaporation. The differences of both preparations when exposed to zinc ion solutions will also be discussed.  相似文献

Thin-film growth of molecular systems is of interest for many applications, such as for instance organic electronics. In this study, we demonstrate how X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) can be used to study the growth behavior of such molecular systems. In XPS, coverages are often calculated assuming a uniform thickness across a surface. This results in an error for rough films, and the magnitude of this error depends on the kinetic energy of the photoelectrons analyzed. We have used this kinetic-energy dependency to estimate the roughnesses of thin porphyrin films grown on rutile TiO2(110). We used two different molecules: cobalt (II) monocarboxyphenyl-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin (CoMCTPP), with carboxylic-acid anchor groups, and cobalt (II) tetraphenylporphyrin (CoTPP), without anchor groups. We find CoMCTPP to grow as rough films at room temperature across the studied coverage range, whereas for CoTPP the first two layers remain smooth and even; depositing additional CoTPP results in rough films. Although, XPS is not a common technique for measuring roughness, it is fast and provides information of both roughness and thickness in one measurement.  相似文献

The adsorption and reaction of H2O on clean and oxygen precovered Ni(110) surfaces was studied by XPS from 100 to 520 K. At low temperature (T<150 K), a multilayer adsorption of H2O on the clean surface with nearly constant sticking coefficient was observed. The O 1s binding energy shifted with coverage from 533.5 to 534.4 eV. H2O adsorption on an oxygen precovered Ni(110) surface in the temperature range from 150 to 300 K leads to an O 1s double peak with maxima at 531.0 and 532.6 eV for T=150 K (530.8 and 532.8 eV at 300 K), proposed to be due to hydrogen bonded Oads… HOH species on the surface. For T>350 K, only one sharp peak at 530.0 eV binding energy was detected, due to a dissociation of H2O into Oads and H2. The s-shaped O 1s intensity-exposure curves are discussed on the basis of an autocatalytic process with a temperature dependent precursor state.  相似文献

Bremsstrahlung isochromat spectra at hω0 = 9.7 eV for electrons normally incident on a clean Ni(100) surface are compared to emission from Ni(100) with an ordered c(2 × 2) oxygen overlayer. We observe strong emission due to adsorbate induced antibonding electronic states near EF and a simultaneous attenuation of previously identified direct bulk interband transitions. We explicitly calculate the normal cones of all monomial primes which define the curves of the form , where . All of these normal cones are reduced and Cohen-Macaulay, and their reduction numbers are independent of the reduction. These monomial primes are new examples of integrally closed ideals for which the product with the maximal homogeneous ideal is also integrally closed.

Substantial use was made of the computer algebra packages Maple and Macaulay2.
