The dependence of physical and mechanical properties of monolithic and foamed rigid polyurethanes on the content of flame retardants was investigated at 293 and 98 K. The character of the influence of the content of trichloroethyl phosphate on the ultimate tensile elongation and the coefficient of linear thermal expansion for monolithic and foamed polyurethanes at a temperature of 98 K was established. The bearing capacity of thin three-layer rings containing a pliable filler and exposed to internal and external stresses has been studied experimentally. The deformation and strength properties of the filler have been examined. Based on the results of bending tests on cut glass-fiber-reinforced plastic rings with a longitudinal-circumferential reinforcement, their radial peel strength is evaluated. The effect of the fiber layout on the properties of the rings in the radial direction is investigated. It is shown that their radial tensile strength only slightly depends on the fiber layout but is basically determined by the properties of the polymer interlayer between the fibers. In radial tension, the presence of fibers in the polymer layer leads to a strain concentration, which results in a premature failure of the polymer phase of the composite. The strain-concentration factor cannot be used for an accurate prediction of the breaking stresses or strains of the composite, because of different failure modes of the pure resin and the composite.  相似文献

The effect of processing factors on the inhomogeneity and physicomechanical characteristics of spray-on polyurethane foams is studied. The dependences of the basic characteristics of foam plastics on the apparent density and cell-shape factor are determined. A method is offered for evaluating the effect of the technological surface skin on the tensile characteristics of foam plastics under normal and low temperatures.  相似文献

The dependence of physical and mechanical properties of oligoether-based foam polyurethanes on the molecular mass (Mc) of polymer chains between the nodes of the polymer network and on the content of rigid segments in the polymer is investigated at 293 and 98K. The values of Mc at which the foam plastics have the best mechanical properties at low temperatures are determined. The content of rigid segments in the polymer at which foam polyurethanes have the best combination of the linear thermal expansion coefficient and mechanical properties in tension at a temperature of 98K is found.Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, Riga, LV-1006, Latvia.
