1-Nucleosides of 5-substituted 4-chloro-1,2,3-triazoles

1-Nucleosides of 5-substituted 4-chloro-1,2,3-triazoles were produced by glycosylation of the corresponding triazoles by the method of fusion with tetra-0-acyl-D-ribofuranose in the presence of bis-p-nitrophenyl phosphate. Thiapyrylium trifluoroacetates and thiacyclohexanes from 1, 5-diketones

Vector magnetization of a Cr monolayer on an Fe(110) film

The non-collinear magnetic moment distribution at the Cr/Fe(110) interface of an Fe(110) thin film covered by a Cr monolayer is revealed by means of periodic Anderson model calculations. It is shown that the Cr surface has two magnetically non-equivalent sites with magnetic moments canted to each other. The Fe atoms in the subsurface monolayer also acquire two magnetically non-equivalent sites with magnetic moments canted to each other. Non-collinearity is shown to be a ground state for the Cr/Fe(110) multilayer.     

Study of the structure of an a-seco compound produced by the oxidation of ursolic acid

When ursolic acid was oxidized with potassium dichromate in the presence of sulfuric acid in glacial acetic acid, two new compounds were obtained. On the basis of the results of instrumental methods of analysis, structures have been suggested which correspond to 2-carboxy-5-hydroxy-11-oxo-3-oxaursa-1,12-dien-28-oic acid and 9-hydroxyl-11-oxo-2,3-secours-12-en-2,3,28-trioic acid 2,9-lactone.     

Nucleosides of 4-methylthio-1,2,3-triazol-5-yl-carboxylic acid derivatives

2--D-Ribofuranosyl-4-methylthio-5-methoxycarbonyl-1,2,3-triazole was obtained by fusing 4-methylthio-5-methoxycarbonyl-1,2,3-triazole together with tetraacyl-D-ribofuranose, followed by deacylation, and its amide and hydrazide were prepared. Synthesis and study of L-arabinopyranosides of 5- and 6-nitroindoles

Condensation of 5- or 6-nitroindoline with L-arabinose gave 1--L-arabinopyranosyl-5 (or 6)-nitroindolines, which, after acetylation, dehydrogenation, and removal of the protective groups, are converted to 1--L-arabinopyranosyl-5(or 6)-nitroindoles and then to the corresponding amino derivatives. 1--L-Arabinopyranosyl-6-nitro-3-bromo-(iodo)indoles were obtained. The selective 2-O- and 3-O-deacetylation of 1-(2, 3, 4-tri-O-acetyl)--L-arabinopyranosyl-6-nitroindole was accomplished.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 2, pp. 224–229, February, 1979.     

A study of nitrogen-containing bisheterocyclic systems

The dipole moments of N- and C-aryl and N- and C-furyl derivatives of imidazole and benzimidazole have been determined. A comparison of the dipole moments of the aryl derivatives found experimentally and calculated vectorially has shown they have a nonplanar structure. Conversely, derivatives of 2-(-furyl)-4,5-diphenylimidazole contain a planar bicyclic fragment.
