New stereoselective reaction of methylglyoxal with 2-aminopyridine and adenine derivatives: formation of imino acid-nucleic base derivatives in water under mild conditions

A remarkable stereoselective reaction of methylglyoxal with 2-aminopyridine, the nucleic base adenine and adenine nucleosides leads in good yield to heterocycles of a new family in water under mild conditions and should be of interest in the understanding of the biological effects of methylglyoxal which is toxic, mutagenic and involved in diabetic complications.     

Restrictions and expansions of holomorphic representations

We compute tensor products of representations of the holomorphic discrete series of a Lie group G, or restrictions to some subgroup G′. A detailed study is done for the case of the conformal group O(4, 2).     

Kostant Partitions Functions and Flow Polytopes

This paper discusses volumes and Ehrhart polynomials in the context of flow polytopes. The general approach that studies these functions via rational functions with poles on arrangement of hyperplanes and the total residue of such functions allows us, via a unified approach, to reobtain many interesting calculations existing in the literature. In particular we generalize Lidskii formula relating the Ehrhart polynomial to the volume function.

Cyclic carbalkoxy aminimides. Synthesis and thermal decomposition to give N,N-dimethylamino isocyanate

Five membered ring carbalkoxy aminimides are prepared from 1,1-dimethylhydrazine and -chloroalkyl chloroformates in three steps. Upon heating, these aminimides give high yields of N,N-dimethylamino isocyanate. This intermediate dimerizes or can be trapped in the presence of a nucleophile.

Representations of certain solvable Lie groups on Hilbert spaces of holomorphic functions and the application to the holomorphic discrete series of a Semisimple Lie group

If ($\text{b}$,$\text{j,?}{}_0$) is a normal j-algebra and b^? = {X + ijX;X∈b} then $\text{b}$^? is a positive polarization at /tf₀ in the sense of Auslander and Kostant. The representation $\text{ρ(?}{}_0\text{,b}{}^{\mathrm{?}}\text{)}$ defined as in the orbit theory is shown to be given on a space of holomorphic functions on a Siegel II domain. The Fourier transformation is shown to be an intertwining operator between $\text{ρ(?}{}_0\text{,b}{}^{\mathrm{?}}\text{)}$ and $\text{ρ(?}{}_0\text{,)}$ for a suitable real polarization $\text{h}$. These explicit results are used to deduce the Harish-Chandra conditions defining the holomorphic discrete series of a Semisimple Lie Group.
