The effects of g-irradiation on solid poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) of an initial weight-average molecular weight of 6.3.105 Da were investigated by gel permeation chromatography and viscometry. The parameters studied were changes in number- and weight-average molecular weight, molecular weight distribution and viscosity of PEO in aqueous solution. Irradiation of poly(ethylene oxide) powder in the presence of oxygen leads to the dominance of chain scission reactions. Their high radiation-chemical yield [G(scission) » 2.5.10-6 mol/J] indicates the occurrence of effective chain reactions. Upon irradiation in vacuum, crosslinking and scission occur side-by-side and the changes in molecular weight are less pronounced in the studied dose range (up to 20 kGy). Scission dominates for doses up to ca. 15 kGy, while for higher doses intermolecular crosslinking gains in importance. The competition between these processes seems to depend not only on the applied dose but also to be influenced by the inhomogenity of the material (molecular weight and/or possibly the crystallinity). Parallel occurrence of scission and crosslinking leads to the broadening of the molecular weight distribution. 相似文献

An alternative method of synthesis of polymeric nanogels is proposed, based not on polymerization, but on intramolecular crosslinking of polymer chains, initiated by pulse irradiation in dilute aqueous solutions. Kinetic data show that for many water-soluble polymers irradiation under these conditions result in intramolecular crosslinking. Preliminary product studies on poly(vinyl alcohol) indicate that in fact internally crosslinked macromolecules can be obtained by this technique. 相似文献

From the aerial parts of Delphinium buschianum Grossh ., collected in Turkey, a new diterpenoid alkaloid 1 , named budelphine, was isolated along with the known diterpenoid alkaloids karakoline ( 2 ), 18‐hydroxy‐14‐O‐methylgadesine ( 3 ), delsoline ( 4 ), lapaconidine ( 5 ), columbianine ( 6 ), 14‐benzoylneoline ( 7 ), and hetisine ( 9 ). In this paper, we introduce a general framework for situations with decision making under uncertainty and cooperation possibilities. This framework is based upon a two stage stochastic programming approach. We show that under relatively mild assumptions the associated cooperative games are totally balanced. We demonstrate the power of high resolution, two dimensional laser induced fluorescence (2D-LIF) spectroscopy for observing rovibronic transitions of polyatomic molecules. The technique involves scanning a tunable laser over absorption features in the electronic spectrum while monitoring a segment, in our case 100 cm(-1) wide, of the dispersed fluorescence spectrum. 2D-LIF images separate features that overlap in the usual laser induced fluorescence spectrum. The technique is illustrated by application to the S(1)-S(0) transition in fluorobenzene. Images of room temperature samples show that overlap of rotational contours by sequence band structure is minimized with 2D-LIF allowing a much larger range of rotational transitions to be observed and high precision rotational constants to be extracted. A significant advantage of 2D-LIF imaging is that the rotational contours separate into their constituent branches and these can be targeted to determine the three rotational constants individually. The rotational constants determined are an order of magnitude more precise than those extracted from the analysis of the rotational contour and we find the previously determined values to be in error by as much as 5% [G. H. Kirby, Mol. Phys. 19, 289 (1970)]. Comparison with earlier ab initio calculations of the S(0) and S(1) geometries [I. Pugliesi, N. M. Tonge, and M. C. R. Cockett, J. Chem. Phys. 129, 104303 (2008)] reveals that the CCSD∕6-311G?? and RI-CC2∕def2-TZVPP levels of theory predict the rotational constants, and hence geometries, with comparable accuracy. Two ground state Fermi resonances were identified by the distinctive patterns that such resonances produce in the images. 2D-LIF imaging is demonstrated to be a sensitive method capable of detecting weak spectral features, particularly those that are otherwise hidden beneath stronger bands. The sensitivity is demonstrated by observation of the three isotopomers of fluorobenzene-d(1) in natural abundance in an image taken for a supersonically cooled sample. The ability to separate some of the (13)C isotopomers in natural abundance is also demonstrated. The equipment required to perform 2D-LIF imaging with sufficient resolution to resolve the rotational features of large polyatomics is available from commercial suppliers. 相似文献

We provide an efficient computational approach to solve the mixed integer programming (MIP) model developed by Tarim and Kingsman [8] for solving a stochastic lot-sizing problem with service level constraints under the static-dynamic uncertainty strategy. The effectiveness of the proposed method hinges on three novelties: (i) the proposed relaxation is computationally efficient and provides an optimal solution most of the time, (ii) if the relaxation produces an infeasible solution, then this solution yields a tight lower bound for the optimal cost, and (iii) it can be modified easily to obtain a feasible solution, which yields an upper bound. In case of infeasibility, the relaxation approach is implemented at each node of the search tree in a branch-and-bound procedure to efficiently search for an optimal solution. Extensive numerical tests show that our method dominates the MIP solution approach and can handle real-life size problems in trivial time. 相似文献

We analyze an extension of the classical multi-period, single-item, linear cost inventory problem where the objective function is a coherent risk measure. Properties of coherent risk measures allow us to offer a unifying treatment of risk averse and min–max type formulations. For the single period newsvendor problem, we show that the structure of the optimal solution of the risk averse model is similar to that of the classical expected value problem. For a finite horizon dynamic inventory model, we show that, again, the optimal policy has a similar structure as that of the expected value problem. This result carries over even to the case when there is a fixed ordering cost. We also analyze monotonicity properties of the optimal order quantity with respect to the degree of risk aversion for certain risk measures. 相似文献

In this article, Fano lineshape whispering gallery modes were observed in the light scattering spectrum of a silicon microsphere in near-infrared telecommunication wavelengths. A simple model is presented to explain the transition from Lorentzian lineshape to the Fano lineshape resonances with the coupled-mode theory of multiple whispering gallery modes. Polar mode spacing of 0.23 nm is observed in the spectra, which correlates well with the calculated value. The quality factor of the Lorentzian and Fano resonances are on the order of 105. By using an appropriate interface design for the microsphere coupling geometries, Fano lineshape optical resonances herald novel device applications for silicon volumetric lightwave circuits. 相似文献

The syntheses of new cobalt and zinc phthalocyanine complexes containing carbazole (Cz) substituents at the peripheral positions are reported (CzCoPc and CzZnPc). The reaction of Cz with 4-iodophthalonitrile in the presence of a catalytic amount of copper(I) oxide and potassium carbonate led to the formation of 4-(9H-carbazol-9-yl) phthalonitrile. Furthermore, by heating the dinitrile and anhydrous metal salts (CoCl2, Zn(CH3COO)2) at 160 °C in n-hexanol in the presence of DBU, the phthalocyanines were obtained. They were characterised by 1H NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis and MS spectroscopic data. Aggregation behaviours of Pcs were investigated in THF. Electrochemical redox behaviour of CzCoPc was investigated by cyclic voltammetry depending on the potential range, and the oxidation and reduction products were followed by UV-Visible absorption measurements. Polymerisation of CzCoPc was carried out by potentiodynamic methods on glassy carbon electrode, and the catalytic activity of resulting polymer (P[CzCoPc]) was tested comparatively with polycarbazole (PCz)-coated electrode for dopamine and better response was obtained for P[CzCoPc] modified electrode. 相似文献

We investigate some problems for truncated Toeplitz operators. Namely, the solvability of the Riccati operator equation on the set of all truncated Toeplitz operators on the model space K θ = H2ΘθH2 is studied. We study in terms of Berezin symbols invertibility of model operators. We also prove some results for the Berezin number of the truncated Toeplitz operators. Moreover, we study some property for H2-functions in terms of noncyclicity of co-analytic Toeplitz operators and hypercyclicity of model operators. 相似文献
