Trace and major element compositions of Black Sea aerosol

Instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA), flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS), flame atomic emission spectrometry (FAES), graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GF-AAS), ion chromatography (IC) and visible spectrometry (VIS) were used to determine the composition of atmospheric aerosols, collected at a rural site in the Western Black Sea Coast of Turkey. A total of 354 daily aerosol samples were analyzed for 46 trace and major elements and ions. Sample preparation, quality control procedures, instrumental operating conditions for INAA and source apportionment work is presented.     

Split Fibonacci Quaternions

Starting from ideas given by Horadam in [5] , in this paper, we will define the split Fibonacci quaternion, the split Lucas quaternion and the split generalized Fibonacci quaternion. We used the well-known identities related to the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers to obtain the relations between the split Fibonacci, split Lucas and the split generalized Fibonacci quaternions. Moreover, we give Binet formulas and Cassini identities for these quaternions.     

Spinor Frenet Equations in Three Dimensional Lie Groups

In this paper, we study spinor Frenet equations in three dimensional Lie groups with a bi-invariant metric. Also, we obtain spinor Frenet equations for some special cases of three dimensional Lie groups.     

THE HOMOTHETIC MOTIONS IN THE LORENTZ 3-SPACE

In this article, the properties of the homothetic motions in three-dimensional Lorentz space are investigated. Also, some geometric results between velocity and acceleration vectors of a point in a spatial motion are obtained.     

LC-MS analysis of daidzein in the Turkish Genista species

In this research, total and free daidzein content in Genista species growing in Turkey were investigated using the LC-MS method. The highest amount of total and free daidzein in these species was found in Genista sessilifolia and G. lydia var. antiochia as 0.0056 and 0.0009%, respectively. Total and free daidzein content of the aerial parts of other Genista species varied from 0.0003 to 0.0044%, and from 0.0001 to 0.0008%, respectively. Trace Elemental Analysis of Allium Species by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) with Multivariate Chemometrics

Aerial parts and roots of the 12 Allium species collected from five localities of Turkey were studied for trace elements (Ag, As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Se, Tl, V, and Zn) using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). A tomato leaves certified reference material was used to characterize the accuracy and precision of the analysis. Each Allium species contained Se (315–2740?µg/kg), Tl (2.75–71?µg/kg), V (77–6790?µg/kg), and Zn (3.73–26.6?mg/kg) which can meet the necessary daily intake of these minerals. In addition, chemometric analyses were performed using correlation analysis, principal component analysis, and hierarchical cluster analysis to determine the association of 12 trace elements in the Allium species. Using chemometrics, the distribution of elements between aerial parts and roots, and geographic collection localities of Allium species were also examined. This study is important the consumers because of the wide consumption of Allium species. This report is the first detailed characterization of the metal content of Allium species.
