Magnetization, specific heat, and electrical resistivity measurements for polycrystalline specimens of CeRu(2)Ga(2)B reveal local moment ferromagnetic order at a Curie temperature T(C) = 16.3 K. Specific heat measurements show that the phase transition is second order and the low temperature behavior indicates that the Ce f-electron states do not hybridize strongly with the conduction electron states. Electrical resistivity measurements demonstrate large spin disorder scattering of conduction electrons for T ≥ T(C). Results for a single crystal are also reported, where T(C) = 15.4 K. While results for the polycrystal and single crystal specimens are qualitatively similar, the differences between them suggest that crystalline disorder plays a role in how the magnetism develops.  相似文献

In the competing risks/multiple decrement model, the joint distribution is often not identifiable given only the observed time of failure and the cause of failure. The traditional approach is consequently to assume a parametric model. In this paper we shall not do this, but rather assume a Bayesian stance, take a Dirichlet process as a prior distribution, and then calculate the posterior distribution given the data. In this paper we show that in dimensions ? 2, the posterior mean yields an inconsistent estimator of the joint probability law, contrary to the common assumption that the prior law ‘washes out’ with large samples. For single decrement mortality tables however, the non-parametric Bayesian method allows a flexible method for adjusting a standard mortality table to reflect mortality experience, or covariate information.  相似文献

Based on a hydro-inspired azimuthally symmetric emission function, we analyze the HBT radius Rs and the single-particle transverse momentum spectra in Au+Au collisions measured by the STAR Collaboration at SNN = 200 GeV. The results show that consistent assumptions about transverse density (and/or flow profile) in the calculation of the HBT radius Rs and single-particle spectral analyses play an important role for understanding the size of the freeze-out source.  相似文献

Exact, periodic wavetrains for systems of coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations are obtained by the Hirota bilinear method and theta functions identities. Both the bright and dark soliton regimes are treated, and the solutions involve products of elliptic functions. The validity of these solutions is verified independently by a computer algebra software. The long wave limit is studied. Physical implications will be assessed.  相似文献

Human milk could be considered an active and complex mixture of beneficial bacteria and bioactive compounds. Since pasteurization drastically reduces the microbial content, we recently demonstrated that pasteurized donor human milk (DHM) could be inoculated with different percentages (10% and 30%) of mother’s own milk (MOM) to restore the unique live microbiota, resulting in personalized milk (RM10 and RM30, respectively). Pasteurization affects not only the survival of the microbiota but also the concentration of proteins and metabolites, in this study, we performed a comparative metabolomic analysis of the RM10, RM30, MOM and DHM samples to evaluate the impact of microbial restoration on metabolite profiles, where metabolite profiles clustered into four well-defined groups. Comparative analyses of DHM and MOM metabolomes determined that over one thousand features were significantly different. In addition, significant changes in the metabolite concentrations were observed in MOM and RM30 samples after four hours of incubation, while the concentration of metabolites in DHM remained constant, indicating that these changes are related to the microbial expansion. In summary, our analyses indicate that the metabolite profiles of DHM are significantly different from that of MOM, and the profile of MOM may be partially restored in DHM through microbial expansion.  相似文献
