Method for accelerating the enzymatic hydrolysis of triacylglycerols

The basic possibility of lowering the concentration of pancreatic lipase in the hydrolysis of triacylglycerols (TAGs) deposited on a solid sorbent has been shown. The method of preparing the initial TAGs for hydrolysis that has been developed permits not only a 10-fold reduction in the amount of ligase but also the retention of a short time of hydrolysis with a high yield of reaction products.Moscow Technological Institute of the Food Industry. Features of synthesis of fatty acids in active lipid-forming yeasts

Features of the accumulation of fatty acids and the changes in their composition in seven strains of yeasts that are promising producing agents of lipids have been studied. It has been shown that in the process of accumulation of lipids in the biomass changes take place that lead to a fall in the degree of unsaturation of the pool of fatty acids. This nature of the change in the composition of the fatty acids is, as has been shown by measuring their absolute amounts in the biomass, connected with the intensive synthesis of oleic and palmitic acids as components of the reserve lipids. The results obtained form the basis for an evaluation of the promising nature of individual strains as active producers of fatty acids.Moscow Technological Institute of the Food Industry. Surface properties of sodium,potassium, and their binary alloys in the liquid state

The results from investigating the surface characteristics of liquid sodium, potassium, and four potassium–sodium alloys are considered. The Auger spectra and profiles of metal droplets with atomically pure surfaces in the solid and liquid state are studied under the same experimental conditions. It is shown that potassium is a surfactant with respect to sodium at the temperature of an experiment in the investigated range of volume concentrations. It is noted that the obtained values of surface tension are 15% higher than the reference values.     

Position-species composition of the triacylglycerols of yeast microorganisms

The molecular-species and olefinic composition of the triacylglycerols (TAGs) of five strains of yeast have been investigated. The predominance of a particular molecular species of TAGs in the triglyceride compositions of the strains investigated depends not only on the genus but also on the species of each particular strain. The olefinic composition of the yeast TAGs is represented mainly by TAGs with 1, 2, 3, and 4 double bonds in the molecule.Moscow Technological Institute of the Food Industry. We consider boundary-value problems for differential fractional-order equations. In particular, some areas in the complex plane, where the problems under consideration have no eigenvalues, are separated.     

Stationary Worldline Power Distributions

A worldline with a time-independent spectrum is called stationary. Such worldlines are arguably the most simple motions in physics. Barring the trivially static motion, the non-trivial worldlines are uniformly accelerated. As such, a point charge moving along a stationary worldline will emit constant radiative power. The angular distribution, maximum angle scaling and Thomas precession of this power is found for all stationary worldlines including those with torsion and hypertorsion.
