Abstract— The photophysical properties of cis -disulfonated aluminum phthalocyanine (AlPcS2) in unilamellar vesicles (liposomes) of DL-a-dipalmitoyl-phosphatidylcholine have been measured. Both the fluorescence and triplet quantum yields decreased with increasing sensitizer concentration. The time-resolved fluorescence decays, analyzed by both the sum of exponentials and decay time distribution analyses, are compared with those reported for AlPcS2 in leukemic K562 cells. Information on the pho-todynamic transport and localization mechanism has been obtained by drawing correlations between the two systems, indicating active transport of the phthalocyanine into tumor cells involving lysosomal accumulation.  相似文献

The hydrophobic sensitizer, aluminium phthalocyanine chloride (AIPcCI), and the amphiphilic sensitizer, cis-disulphonated aluminium phthalocyanine (cis-AIPcS2), were incorporated into small unilamellar vesicles (SUVs) and large unilamellar vesicles (LUVs). AIPcCI exhibits aggregation, which increases with increasing sensitizer concentration, whereas cis-AlPcS2 is monomeric at all concentrations studied. Complex fluorescence decays are observed, showing decay time distributions which broaden with increasing phthalocyanine concentration. The phthalocyanine aggregate, although non-fluorescent, influences the overall photophysical behaviour of the phthalocyanine-vesicle system. The effect of aggregation on the resulting photophysics of phthalocyanines was investigated by comparing aggregated and non-aggregated phthalocyanine systems. The implications for photodynamic therapy (PDT) are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Silica-gel has been used as an inert support for the extraction chromatographic separation of actinides and lanthanides from HNO3 and synthetic high level waste (HLW) solutions. Silica-gel was impregnated with tri-butyl phosphate (TBP), to yield STBP; 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid, mono 2-ethylhexyl ester (KSM-17, equivalent to PC-88A), SKSM; octyl(phenyl)-N,N-diisobutyl carbamoylmethylphosphine oxide (CMPO), SCMPO; and trialkylphosphine oxide (Cyanex-923), SCYN and sorption of Pu(IV), Am(III) and Eu(III) from HNO3 solutions was studied batchwise. Several parameters, like time of equilibration, HNO3 and Pu(IV) concentrations were varied. The uptake of Pu(IV) from 3.0M HNO3 followed the order SCMPO>SCYN>SKSM>STBP. With increasing HNO3 concentration, D Pu increased up to 3.0M of HNO3 for STBP, SKSM and SCMPO and then decreased. In the case of Am and Eu with SCMPO, the D values initially increased between 0.5 to 1.0M of HNO3, remained constant up to 5.0M and then slightly decreased at 7.5M. Also, the effects of NaNO3, Nd(III) and U(VI) concentrations on the uptake of Am(III) from HNO3 solutions were evaluated. With increasing NaNO3 concentration up to 3.0M, D Am remained almost constant while it was observed that it decreases drastically by adding Nd(III) or U(VI). The uptake of Pu and Am from synthetic pressurized heavy water reactor high level waste (PHWR-HLW) in presence of high concentrations of uranium and after depleting the uranium content, and finally extraction chromatographic column separation of Pu and Am from U-depleted synthetic PHWR-HLW have been carried out. Using SCMPO, high sorption of Pu, Am and U was obtained from the U-depleted HLW solution. These metal ions were subsequently eluted using various reagents. The sorption results of the metal ions on silica-gel impregnated with several phosphorus based extractants have been compared. The uptake of Am, Pu and rare earths by SCMPO has been compared with those where CMPO was sorbed on Chromosorb-102, Amberchrom CG-71 and styrene divinylbenzene copolymer immobilized in porous silica particles.  相似文献

Two novel inorganic-organic hybrid 3D extended networks of Ni(II) and Mn(II) having molecular formulas [(maleate)(2)Ni(3)(bpe)(4)(H(2)O)(4)](NO(3))(2).H(2)O (1) and [(adipate)Mn(bpe)] (2) (bpe = 1, 2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane), respectively, have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies and low-temperature (300-2 K) magnetic measurements. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c (No. 15), with chemical formula C(56)H(62)N(10)Ni(3)O(19), a = 30.955(4) A, b = 12.705(3) A, c = 17.058(5) A, beta = 117.26(2) degrees, and Z = 4. Compound 2 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group Ponemacr; (No. 2), with chemical formula C(18)H(20)MnN(2)O(4), a = 8.492(2) A, b = 9.444(2) A, c = 11.533(3) A, alpha = 97.19(1) degrees, beta = 94.64(1) degrees, gamma = 105.02(1) degrees, and Z = 2. The structure determination reveals for both a 3D network. Compound 1 contains two crystallographically independent Ni(II) ions in different octahedral environments. Ni(1) lies on an inversion center, and its coordination environment comprises two chelating maleate anions and two bpe nitrogen donors, while the Ni(2) ion is surrounded by meridionally disposed three bpe N atoms, two water molecules, and one oxygen donor from the dicarboxylate anion. Of the three crystallographic independent bpe ligand, one presents an anti and the others a gauche conformation. The corresponding N-to-N distances are 9.344, 6.543, and 6.187 A. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurement of the complex reveals the existence of a dominant ferromagnetic interaction within the molecule. Compound 2 is composed of Mn(2) dimer units linked by adipate anions to form corrugated 2D sheets which, on interconnection through bpe (anti conformation, N-to-N distance of 9.391 A), produces an interpenetrated 3D alpha-polonium-related type net. Complex 2 reveals to be antiferromagnetic fitting data using a dimeric Mn(II) model that considers negligible magnetic transmission through the carbon skeleton of adipate and the bpe pathway.  相似文献

Four linear polymers containing pendant azo moiety were synthesized through click chemistry for second‐order nonlinear optical study. The polymers were found soluble in most of the polar organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran (THF), chloroform, and dimethyl formamide (DMF). The polymers showed thermal stability up to 300 °C and glass transition temperatures (Tg) in the range of 120–140 °C. The molecular weights (Mw) of these polymers (measured by gel permeation chromatography) were in the range 37,900–55,000 g/mol. The polymers were found to form optically transparent films by solution casting from THF solution. Order parameters were calculated from UV–vis absorption spectra. The morphology changes in the films after poling were characterized by atomic force microscopy. The angular dependence, temperature dependence, and time dependence of second harmonic generation (SHG) intensity were obtained by using 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. The SHG intensity remained unchanged up to 95 °C. At room temperature, it remained stable up to 8 days after initial drop of about 14%. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three new metal-organic polymeric complexes, [Fe(N(3))(2)(bpp)(2)] (1), [Fe(N(3))(2)(bpe)] (2), and [Fe(N(3))(2)(phen)] (3) [bpp = (1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)-propane), bpe = (1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)-ethane), phen = 1,10-phenanthroline], have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies and low-temperature magnetic measurements in the range 300-2 K. Complexes 1 and 2 crystallize in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c, with the following cell parameters: a = 19.355(4) A, b = 7.076(2) A, c = 22.549(4) A, beta = 119.50(3) degrees, Z = 4, and a = 10.007(14) A, b = 13.789(18) A, c = 10.377(14) A, beta = 103.50(1) degrees, Z = 4, respectively. Complex 3 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P(-)1, with a = 7.155(12) A, b = 10.066(14) A, c = 10.508(14) A, alpha = 109.57(1) degrees, beta = 104.57(1) degrees, gamma = 105.10(1) degrees, and Z = 2. All coordination polymers exhibit octahedral Fe(II) nodes. The structural determination of 1 reveals a parallel interpenetrated structure of 2D layers of (4,4) topology, formed by Fe(II) nodes linked through bpp ligands, while mono-coordinated azide anions are pendant from the corrugated sheet. Complex 2 has a 2D arrangement constructed through 1D double end-to-end azide bridged iron(II) chains interconnected through bpe ligands. Complex 3 shows a polymeric arrangement where the metal ions are interlinked through pairs of end-on and end-to-end azide ligands exhibiting a zigzag arrangement of metals (Fe-Fe-Fe angle of 111.18 degrees) and an intermetallic separation of 3.347 A (through the EO azide) and of 5.229 A (EE azide). Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data suggest that there is no magnetic interaction between the metal centers in 1, whereas in 2 there is an antiferromagnetic interaction through the end-to-end azide bridge. Complex 3 shows ferro- as well as anti-ferromagnetic interactions between the metal centers generated through the alternating end-on and end-to-end azide bridges. Complex 1 has been modeled using the D parameter (considering distorted octahedral Fe(II) geometry and with any possible J value equal to zero) and complex 2 has been modeled as a one-dimensional system with classical and/or quantum spin where we have used two possible full diagonalization processes: without and with the D parameter, considering the important distortions of the Fe(II) ions. For complex 3, the alternating coupling model impedes a mathematical solution for the modeling as classical spins. With quantum spin, the modeling has been made as in 2.  相似文献

In a critique of the Loewenstein and Prelec [Loewenstein G., Prelec D., 1992. Anomalies in intertemporal choice: Evidence and an interpretation. The Quarterly Journal of Economics 107, 573–597] theory of intertemporal choice, [al-Nowaihi, A., Dhami, S., 2006. A note on the Loewenstein–Prelec theory of intertemporal choice. Mathematical Social Sciences 52, 99–108] point out four errors. One of the alleged errors was that the elasticity of the value function in prospect theory is decreasing. But it is in fact increasing. We provide a correction and a formal proof. As a corollary, we show that the elasticity of the value function is bounded between zero and one. Nevertheless, all the remaining points in [al-Nowaihi, A., Dhami, S., 2006. A note on the Loewenstein–Prelec theory of intertemporal choice. Mathematical Social Sciences 52, 99–108] remain valid  相似文献
