In this paper, we propose and demonstrate a new and original model for theoretical calculation and experimental measurement of the noise power spectral density (NPSD) in phase-modulated optical links. The phase modulation is operated in the RF frequency range by an external phase modulator. The NPSD is derived for the first time in interferometric systems, by considering all effects such as the 1/f FM noise of the laser and white noise applied to light from a 1550 nm DFB laser, with phase modulation. The results show for the first time the influence of the phase modulation index, modulation frequency and interferometric delay in the phase-to-intensity noise conversion. The experimental and simulation results of conversion of FM-noise to intensity noise in an optical link by considering the external RF phase modulation are shown with good agreement.  相似文献

A dynamical theory is studied in which a scalar field ϕ in Einstein-Minkowski space is coupled to the four-velocityN μ of a preferred inertial observer in that space. As a consistent requirement on this coupling we study a principle of duality invariance of the dynamical mass term of ϕ at some universal length in the small-distance regime. In the large-distance regime duality breaking can be introduced by giving a background value to ϕ and a background direction toN μ. It is shown that, in an appropriate approximation, duality breaking can be related to the emergence of a characteristic phase in which the condensation of the ground state allows massive excitations with a characteristic scale of squared mass which agrees with the present observational bound for the cosmological constant.  相似文献

We study the quantum constraints of a conformalinvariant action for a scalar field. For this purpose webriefly present a reformulation of the duality principleadvanced earlier in the context of generally covariant quantum field theory, and apply it toexamine the finite structure of the quantum constraints.This structure is shown to admit a dimensional coupling(a coupling mediated by a dimensional coupling parameter) of states to gravity. Invariancebreaking is introduced by defining a preferredconfiguration of dynamical variables in terms of thelargescale characteristics of the universe. A facile and efficient method for one-pot conversion of alcohols into azides using N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)imidazole (TsIm) is described. In this method, alcohols are refluxed with a mixture of NaN3, TsIm and triethylamine in the presence of catalytic amounts of tetra-n-butylammonium iodide (TBAI) in DMF affording the corresponding alkyl azides in good yields. This methodology is highly efficient for various structurally diverse alcohols with selectivity for ROH: 1° > 2° > 3°.  相似文献

Complexes between dextrans of different molar mass and bovine hemoglobin were synthesized by two different methods. In the alkylation method three and in the dialdehyde method, two hemoglobins are coupled on average to one dextran molecule. In both cases, the soluble hemoglobin-dextran complexes reversibly bind and release oxygen; the oxygen affinity is greater than that of free hemoglobin. Static and dynamic light scattering was used to determine the average molar mass Mu, the radius of gyration 〈S〉, and the hydrodynamic radius Rh of both the complexes and the single dextrans. Interpretation of these data is complicated due to the fact that the complexes are copolymers. When appropriate approximations are made, the results indicate that the complexes have a spherical shape and an internal structure of a multiple-chain network, where several dextrans are linked together by the hemoglobins. The number of single dextrans per complex increases as the molar mass of the single dextrans is decreased. The increment is greater in the dialdehyde than in the alkylation method. The probable reason is that in the dialdehyde method one hemoglobin can connect many dextrans simultaneously while in the alkylation method a hemoglobin is able to link maximally two dextrans. The ratio of the radius of gyration to the hydrodynamic radius decreases as the temperature is increased. This suggests a decrease of the solvent penetration length for the complexes and can be interpreted on the basis of the Deutsch-Felderhof theory for porous spheres. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Bis(indolyl)methanes were synthesized by the reaction of indole derivatives and aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes in the presence of diammonium hydrogen phosphate as a solid catalyst under solvent-free conditions. This methodology offers significant improvements for the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes with regard to the yield of products, simplicity in operation, and green aspects by avoiding toxic catalysts and solvents.  相似文献

Dihydropyrimidinones, bis(indolyl)methanes, and N-alkyl and N-arylimides were synthesized efficiently under mild reaction conditions in the presence of two types of ionic liquids. In each section, effects of different ILs on the yield of reactions were investigated. The use of ionic liquids offer improvements for the synthesis of title compounds with regard to the yield of products, simplicity in operation, short reaction times and green aspects by avoiding toxic catalyst and organic solvents.  相似文献
