Summary.  New 4-alkyl/aryl-1-((6-(4-bromophenyl)-imidazo[2,1-b]thiazol-3-yl)-acetyl)-3-thiosemicarbazides and 3-alkyl/aryl-2-(((6-(4-bromophenyl)-imidazo[2,1-b]thiazol-3-yl)-acetyl)-hydrazono)-4-thiazolidinones were synthesized from 6-(4-bromophenyl)-imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole-3-acetic acid hydrazide. Their structures were elucidated by elemental analyses and spectroscopic data. All compounds were tested for antibacterial and antifungal activities. The antimicrobial activities of the compounds were assessed by the microbroth dilution technique. The compounds were also evaluated for antituberculosis activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv (ATCC 27294); they exhibited varying degrees of inhibition in the in vitro primary screening at 6.25 μg · cm−3. The most active compound was 3-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-(((6-(4-bromophenyl)-imidazo[2,1-b]thiazol-3-yl)-acetyl)-hydrazono)-4-thiazolidinone. Corresponding author. Cloud point extraction was applied as a preconcentration step for the determination of trace level of Al(III) in water samples with electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS), flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) and UV-visible spectrophotometry. The aluminum was extracted as aluminum-Eriochrome Cyanine R (ECR) complex, at pH 6 by micelles of the non-ionic surfactant octylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol (Triton X-114). The investigations showed that the same CPE procedure can be used for different detection techniques. The results obtained from these techniques were evaluated. Under the optimal conditions, limit of detection obtained with ETAAS, FAAS and UV-visible spectrophotometry were 0.03 ng mL?1, 0.06 µg mL?1 and 0.01 µg mL?1, respectively. The accuracy of the procedure was tested by analysing certified reference material. The method was successfully applied to determination of aluminum in water samples and dialysis fluid.  相似文献

Abstract

In this study, Kα1,2, Kβ1,3, and Kβ2,4 X-ray natural line widths for various elements were determined semi-empirically at 123.6?keV by using K shell fluorescence yields obtained from energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence measurements. The obtained results contribute to a database for the development of new theoretical models of atomic structure, radiation shielding materials, and designing new technological devices related to the structural analysis of materials. The obtained results were compared with the literature, while new fitting polynomials for the studied parameters were acquired. The results showed that the natural linewidths of K X-ray lines fit fourth-order polynomials except for Kβ2,4.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to efficiently utilize catalytic properties of silver nanoparticles and nitrogen doped graphene and their combined synergistic effect. For this purpose, nitrogen doped reduced graphene oxide-silver (NrGO-Ag) nanocomposites were synthesized by a facile, environmentally friendly, one-pot hydrothermal method for the first time and characterized by UV–Vis, FTIR, XRD, XPS, SEM, and TEM. Catalytic activity of the synthesized nanocomposites was tested against 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) and methylene blue (MB) reduction reactions in the presence of NaBH4. Total degradation was achieved in both reactions in 210 and 44 s, and pseudo first order reaction rate constants were calculated as 0.0071 and 0.0322 s−1 for 4-NP and MB reduction reactions, respectively.  相似文献

The chemical composition of propolis from East Mediterranean (Hatay, Adana and Mersin) was studied in order to determine the major compounds by using GC-MS. In this study, the ethanolic extract of propolis prepared by mixing 1900mL 70% ethanol and 100g propolis was used. Chemical analysis of propolis extracts indicated that the propolis samples had high concentrations of the aromatic acids, esters and other derivatives which are responsible for the anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties of propolis such as benzyl cinnamate, methyl cinnamate, caffeic acid, cinnamyl cinnamate and cinnamoylglcine besides the most common compounds as fatty acid, terpenoids, esters, alcohols hydrocarbons and aromatic acids.  相似文献

A numerical simulation of minimum B‐jumps in horizontal rectangular channels having an abrupt drop is given. Gradually varied, steady, supercritical flow is assumed as the initial condition. An unsteady flow is created by increasing the downstream depth. One‐dimensional, unsteady Saint‐Venant equations are solved by using the MacCormack and the dissipative two–four explicit finite difference schemes. The steady flow solution is obtained by treating the time variable as an iteration parameter and letting the solution converge to the steady state. The abrupt drop is treated as an interior boundary and solved by the method of characteristics. The results are compared with experimental and analytical studies. The present study was carried out in a batch system using a lichen (Pseudevernia furfuracea (L.) Zopf) for the sorption of nickel(II) and copper(II) ions from water. Particularly, the effect of pH, contact time and temperature were considered. Pseudevernia furfuracea exhibited nickel(II) and copper(II) uptake of 49.87 and 60.83 mg/g at an initial pH of 4 and 5-6 at 35 degrees C respectively. Both the Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption models were suitable for describing the biosorption of nickel(II) and copper(II) by the biosorbent. Biosorption showed pseudo first order rate kinetics for nickel and copper ions. Using the equilibrium constant values obtained at 25 and 35 degrees C, the thermodynamics properties of the biosorption (deltaG degrees, deltaH degrees and deltaS degrees) were determined. The biosorption of nickel(II) and copper(II) onto Pseudevernia furfuracea was found to be endothermic.  相似文献

The bilevel p-median problem for the planning and protection of critical facilities involves a static Stackelberg game between a system planner (defender) and a potential attacker. The system planner determines firstly where to open p critical service facilities, and secondly which of them to protect with a limited protection budget. Following this twofold action, the attacker decides which facilities to interdict simultaneously, where the maximum number of interdictions is fixed. Partial protection or interdiction of a facility is not possible. Both the defender’s and the attacker’s actions have deterministic outcome; i.e., once protected, a facility becomes completely immune to interdiction, and an attack on an unprotected facility destroys it beyond repair. Moreover, the attacker has perfect information about the location and protection status of facilities; hence he would never attack a protected facility. We formulate a bilevel integer program (BIP) for this problem, in which the defender takes on the leader’s role and the attacker acts as the follower. We propose and compare three different methods to solve the BIP. The first method is an optimal exhaustive search algorithm with exponential time complexity. The second one is a two-phase tabu search heuristic developed to overcome the first method’s impracticality on large-sized problem instances. Finally, the third one is a sequential solution method in which the defender’s location and protection decisions are separated. The efficiency of these three methods is extensively tested on 75 randomly generated instances each with two budget levels. The results show that protection budget plays a significant role in maintaining the service accessibility of critical facilities in the worst-case interdiction scenario.  相似文献
