Tunneling effect on the intersubband optical absorption in a GaAs/Al x Ga1- x As quantum well under simultaneous presence of intense non-resonant laser and static electric fields is theoretically investigated. Based on the shooting method the quasi-stationary energy levels and their corresponding linewidths are obtained. By considering the joint action of the two external fields the linear absorption coefficient is calculated by means of Fermi’s golden rule and taking into account the intersubband relaxation. We found that: (i) the linewidth broadening due to the electron tunneling has an appreciable effect on the absorption spectrum; (ii) a constant relaxation time adopted in the previous studies could not be justified even for moderate electric fields, especially in the laser dressed wells. Our model predicts that the number of absorption peaks can be controlled by the external applied fields. While in the high-electric fields the excited states become unbounded due to a significant tunneling of the electrons, for high laser intensities and low/moderate electric fields the absorption spectrum has a richer structure due to the laser-generated resonant states. The possibility of tuning the resonant absorption energies by using the combined effects of the static electric field and the THz coherent radiation field can be useful in designing new optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

We address the output feedback stabilization problem of linearfinite-dimensional SISO systems. Limitations of static time-invariantoutput feedback on stabilizability are well known. We investigateand compare the possibilities of two recently proposed simplemodifications/generalizations of static time-invariant outputfeedback to remove such limitations. The first approach consistsof introducing a time-delay in the control law, which can betreated as an additional control parameter. The second approachconsists of making the gain time-varying. We show that bothapproaches are complementary. Existing theoretical results arebrought together in a unifying framework. Numerical proceduresfor the construction of the controllers are provided. Robustnessw.r.t. both parametric and delay uncertainty are dealt with.As an illustration the stabilizability of all second-order systemsis completely determined.  相似文献

A large data set of charged-pion (pi+/-) electroproduction from both hydrogen and deuterium targets has been obtained spanning the low-energy residual-mass region. These data conclusively show the onset of the quark-hadron duality phenomenon, as predicted for high-energy hadron electroproduction. We construct several ratios from these data to exhibit the relation of this phenomenon to the high-energy factorization ansatz of electron-quark scattering and subsequent quark-->pion production mechanisms.  相似文献

We present a variational calculation for the ground state of the double donor in a spherical GaAs–Ga1–x Al x As quantum dot. The binding energies for the ionized and neutral centres are calculated for several barrier height values as a function of the radius of the dot. Compared with a square well structure, there is a stronger confinement and a larger binding energy for the double donors in a spherical quantum dot.  相似文献

Considering that the motions of the particles take place on fractals, a non-differentiable mechanical model is built. Only if the spatial coordinates are fractal functions, the Galilean version of our model is obtained: the geodesics satisfy a Navier-Stokes-type of equation with an imaginary viscosity coefficient for a complex speed field or respectively, a Schrödinger-type of equation or hydrodynamic equations, in the case of irrotational movements. Moreover, in this approach, the analysis of the fractal fluid dynamics generates conductive properties in the case of movements synchronization both on differentiable and fractal scales, and convective properties in the absence of synchronization (e.g. laser ablation plasma is analyzed). On the other hand, if both the spatial and temporal coordinates are fractal functions, it results that, the geodesics satisfy a Klein-Gordon-type of equation on a Minkowskian manifold.  相似文献

The density of donor impurity states in a square GaAs–AlGaAs quantum well under an intense laser field is calculated taking into account the laser dressing effects on both the Coulomb potential and the confining potential. Using the effective-mass approximation within a variational scheme, the donor binding energy is obtained as a function of the laser dressing parameter, and the impurity position. Our results point out that a proper consideration of the density of impurity states may be of relevance in the interpretation of the optical phenomena related to shallow impurities in quantum wells, where the effects of an intense laser field compete with the quantum confinement.  相似文献

The electronic properties and optical characteristics – absorption coefficient, refractive index and group index – in an impurity doped pseudo-harmonic quantum disc subjected to an applied magnetic field are investigated. Numerical calculations are performed using the exact diagonalization technique and the compact density-matrix formalism. It is found that the chosen structure could be switched between a lambda-type and a ladder-type configuration by a proper tailoring of the magnetic field strength. Furthermore, the absorption profile and the associated slow light frequency range can be controlled not only by varying the control field amplitude and its detuning but also by changing the impurity position and the magnetic field strength.  相似文献
