Two new divalent copper (C1) and zinc (C2) chelates having the formulae [M(PIMC)2] (where M = Cu(II), Zn(II) and PIMC = Ligand [(E)-3-(((3-hydroxypyridin-2-yl)imino)methyl)-4H-chromen-4-one] were obtained and characterized by several techniques. Structures and geometries of the synthesized complexes were judged based on the results of alternative analytical and spectral tools supporting the proposed formulae. IR spectral data confirmed the coordination of the ligands to the copper and zinc centers as monobasic tridentate in the enol form. Thermal analysis, UV-Vis spectra and magnetic moment confirmed the geometry around the copper center to be tetrahedral, square pyramidal and octahedral. Study of the binding ability of the synthesized compounds with Circulating tumor DNA (CT-DNA) bas been evaluated applying UV-Vis spectral titration and viscosity measurements. The copper and zinc oxides were achieved from the copper and zinc nano-particles structures Schiff base complexes as the raw material after calcination for 5 hr at 600°C. On the other hand, synthesized of C1 and C2 NPs were used as suitable precursors to the preparation of CuO and ZnO NPs. Finally, the synthesized of the two complexes exhibited enhanced activity against the tested bacterial (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia Coli) and fungal strains (Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus) as compared to HPIMC. Among all these synthesized compounds, C1 exhibits good cleaving ability compared to other newly synthesized C2.  相似文献

To satisfy the ever-increasing energy demands, it is of the utmost importance to develop electrochemical materials capable of producing and storing energy in a highly efficient manner. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) has recently emerged as a promising choice in this field due to its non-toxicity, low cost, and eco-friendliness, in addition to its porosity, large surface area, good mechanical strength, and remarkable transport properties. Here, we present titanium dioxide nanoplates/polyvinylidene fluoride (TiO2/PVDF) membranes prepared by a straightforward hydrothermal strategy and vacuum filtration process. The as-synthesized TiO2/PVDF membrane was applied for energy storage applications. The fabricated TiO2/PVDF membrane served as the negative electrode for supercapacitors (SCs). The electrochemical properties of a TiO2/PVDF membrane were explored in an aqueous 6 M KOH electrolyte that exhibited good energy storage performance. Precisely, the TiO2/PVDF membrane delivered a high specific capacitance of 283.74 F/g at 1 A/g and maintained capacitance retention of 91% after 8000 cycles. Thanks to the synergistic effect of TiO2 and PVDF, the TiO2/PVDF membrane provided superior electrochemical performance as an electrode for a supercapacitor. These superior properties will likely be used in next-generation energy storage technologies.  相似文献

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was employed to study electrochemical behaviors during Li-ion insertion into rice husk carbon. The impedance spectra consist of two depressed semicircles in the high and middle range frequency and an incline line at low frequency. The impedance spectra, obtained in the potential range 2.0 to 0.005 V were analyzed with an equivalent circuit model. Kinetic parameters such as the charge-transfer resistance and surface film resistance were evaluated and discussed. Ethanolic extracts of samples of temperate zone propolis, four from the UK and one from Poland, were tested against three Trypanosoma brucei strains and displayed EC50 values < 20 µg/mL. The extracts were fractionated, from which 12 compounds and one two-component mixture were isolated, and characterized by NMR and high-resolution mass spectrometry, as 3-acetoxypinobanksin, tectochrysin, kaempferol, pinocembrin, 4′-methoxykaempferol, galangin, chrysin, apigenin, pinostrobin, cinnamic acid, coumaric acid, cinnamyl ester/coumaric acid benzyl ester (mixture), 4′,7-dimethoxykaempferol, and naringenin 4′,7-dimethyl ether. The isolated compounds were tested against drug-sensitive and drug-resistant strains of T. brucei and Leishmania mexicana, with the highest activities ≤ 15 µM. The most active compounds against T. brucei were naringenin 4′,7 dimethyl ether and 4′methoxy kaempferol with activity of 15–20 µM against the three T. brucei strains. The most active compounds against L. mexicana were 4′,7-dimethoxykaempferol and the coumaric acid ester mixture, with EC50 values of 12.9 ± 3.7 µM and 13.1 ± 1.0 µM. No loss of activity was found with the diamidine- and arsenical-resistant or phenanthridine-resistant T. brucei strains, or the miltefosine-resistant L. mexicana strain; no clear structure activity relationship was observed for the isolated compounds. Temperate propolis yields multiple compounds with anti-kinetoplastid activity.  相似文献

The nearest correlation matrix problem is to find a positive semidefinite matrix with unit diagonal, that is, nearest in the Frobenius norm to a given symmetric matrix A. This problem arises in the finance industry, where the correlations are between stocks. In this paper, we formulate this problem as a smooth unconstrained minimization problem, for which rapid convergence can be obtained. Other methods are also studied. The ion exchange method was used to intercalate a poor water-soluble insecticide, isoprocarb into zinc layered hydroxide (ZLH). PXRD analysis indicated the successful intercalation with good crystallinity for the resulting nanocomposite, with a basal spacing of 33.1 Å. FTIR analyses showing the resemblance of an absorption peak of the nanocomposite with the host and the guest anion. The thermal analysis confirmed that the nanocomposite had better thermal stability compared to the pristine isoprocarb. The nanocomposite also characterized by elemental and surface morphology analysis. The surface analyses of the host and nanocomposite showed mesoporous-type material characteristics. On the whole, the intercalation process decreased the pore size of the nanocomposite compared to the pristine host, layered zinc layered hydroxide-sodium dodecyl sulphate (ZLH-SDS). The obtained material is believed has a great potential as an environmentally friendly insecticide.  相似文献

Improvement of the rate properties of orthorhombic LiVOPO4 by using a milling approach and acetylene black additives as electronic binder is investigated. The average particle size of orthorhombic LiVOPO4 was reduced from 12.0 μm to 6.1 μm by milling process by which the Li intercalation capacity into LiVOPO4 increased to 40 mAhg−1 at 0.4 mAcm−2 (C/5). At an optimized acetylene black amount of 15 wt.%, a better uniformity in particle size distribution and dispersion of the current distribution was obtained. Thus, enhancing the kinetic performance a fairly large reversible intercalation capacity of Li was achieved with values of 100 and 60 mAhg−1 at high rate conditions of C/5 (0.4 mAcm−2) and 1C (2 mAcm−2), respectively. In the present work, boron-doped multicomponent gel polymer electrolytes composed of host polymer, sulfonated polysulfone (SPSU) and the additives; ionic liquid, 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium tetrafluoroborate (IL), H3BO3, polyphosphoric acid (PPA) were prepared. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques were used to characterize the sulfonated polysulfone-based electrolytes. Ion conductivity of these gel electrolytes were studied by dielectric impedance analyzer within the temperature from ?20 to 100°C. The ionic conductivity of the SPSU-5IL-1PPA and SPSU-5IL-1H3BO3-1PPA were measured as 4.8 × 10?3 and 9 × 10?4 S cm?1, respectively. Supercapacitor having activated carbon-based composite electrode and electrolyte was constructed with the configuration: Al/C/electrolyte/C/Al. The electrochemical properties and ion transfer characteristics of the supercapacitor were investigated by the cyclic voltammetry (CV). Galvanostatic charge—discharge experiments exhibited good electrochemical reversibility and produced a specific capacitance value of 120 F g?1 at 1 A g?1. The symmetric supercapacitor system was retained almost 85% of its initial activity after 1000 cycle.  相似文献

Bacterial infections are regarded as one of the leading causes of fatal morbidity and death in patients infected with diseases. The ability of microorganisms, particularly methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), to develop resistance to current drugs has evoked the need for a continuous search for new drugs with better efficacies. Hence, a series of non-PAINS associated pyrrolylated-chalcones (1–15) were synthesized and evaluated for their potency against MRSA. The hydroxyl-containing compounds (8, 9, and 10) showed the most significant anti-MRSA efficiency, with the MIC and MBC values ranging from 0.08 to 0.70 mg/mL and 0.16 to 1.88 mg/mL, respectively. The time-kill curve and SEM analyses exhibited bacterial cell death within four hours after exposure to 9, suggesting its bactericidal properties. Furthermore, the docking simulation between 9 and penicillin-binding protein 2a (PBP2a, PDB ID: 6Q9N) suggests a relatively similar bonding interaction to the standard drug with a binding affinity score of −7.0 kcal/mol. Moreover, the zebrafish model showed no toxic effects in the normal embryonic development, blood vessel formation, and apoptosis when exposed to up to 40 µM of compound 9. The overall results suggest that the pyrrolylated-chalcones may be considered as a potential inhibitor in the design of new anti-MRSA agents.  相似文献
