A temperature control unit was implemented to vary the temperature of samples studied on a commercial Mobile Universal Surface Explorer nuclear magnetic resonance (MOUSE-NMR) apparatus. The device was miniaturized to fit the maximum MOUSE sampling depth (25 mm). It was constituted by a sample holder sandwiched between two heat exchangers placed below and above the sample. Air was chosen as the fluid to control the temperature at the bottom of the sample, at the interface between the NMR probe and the sample holder, in order to gain space. The upper surface of the sample was regulated by the circulation of water inside a second heat exchanger placed above the sample holder. The feasibility of using such a device was demonstrated first on pure water and then on several samples of bread dough with different water contents. For this, T1 relaxation times were measured at various temperatures and depths and were then compared with those acquired with a conventional compact closed-magnet spectrometer. Discussion of results was based on biochemical transformations in bread dough (starch gelatinization and gluten heat denaturation). It was demonstrated that, within a certain water level range, and because of the low magnetic field strength of the MOUSE, a linear relationship could be established between T1 relaxation times and the local temperature in the dough sample.  相似文献

A self-avoiding polygon (SAP) on a graph is an elementary cycle. Counting SAPs on the hypercubic lattice ℤ d withd≥2, is a well-known unsolved problem, which is studied both for its combinatorial and probabilistic interest and its connections with statistical mechanics. Of course, polygons on ℤ d are defined up to a translation, and the relevant statistic is their perimeter. A SAP on ℤ d is said to beconvex if its perimeter is “minimal”, that is, is exactly twice the sum of the side lengths of the smallest hyper-rectangle containing it. In 1984, Delest and Viennot enumerated convex SAPs on the square lattice [6], but no result was available in a higher dimension. We present an elementar approach to enumerate convex SAPs in any dimension. We first obtain a new proof of Delest and Viennot's result, which explains combinatorially the form of the generating function. We then compute the generating function for convex SAPs on the cubic lattice. In a dimension larger than 3, the details of the calculations become very cumbersome. However, our method suggests that the generating function for convex SAPs on ℤ d is always a quotient ofdifferentiably finite power series.  相似文献

The title compound, [Dy2(C2H3O2)6(H2O)4]·4H2O, crystallizes in the form of dimeric units related by an inversion centre. Each cation is nine‐coordinate, binding to two water mol­ecules and three acetate groups, two of which are bidentate and the third tridentate. A new process to control the distribution of metal nanoparticles is proposed. It involves the use of complexing microcapsules obtained by interfacial polycondensation. The latter are hollow spheres constituted of a polymer membrane, containing an insoluble active ingredient, such as a polyacrylic acid, which can complex Co2+ ions. These capsules are dispersed in a silica sol followed by thermal treatments and reduction under H2 which results in metallic Co nanoparticles confined in the capsules domains. Phase diagrams, volumes and heat capacities of aqueous mixtures of 2,6-dimethylpyridine (2,6-L) and 2-isobutoxyethanol (iBE) and activities of 2,6-L in aqueous mixtures were measured in the monophasic region near the lower critical solution temperature (LCST). With 2,6-L some measurement were also made just above the LCST. From the temperature dependence of these data, partial molar relative enthalpies (2,6-L), expansibilities and the temperature derivative of heat capacities were calculated and show that iBE undergoes a microphase transition at low concentration which is not related to the phase separation. On the other hand, the properties of 2,6-L in the water-rich region at temperatures well below the LCST indicates that this solute has only a slight tendency to associate. The heat capacities of 2,6-L show an important increase near the LCST. Such changes are not observed for iBE and other alkoxyethanols and amines since these systems already exist in the form of microphases; the partial molar properties of iBE near the LCST are nearly equal to the molar values of the pure liquid, and the changes in thermodynamic properties corresponding to the macroscopic phase transition, are therefore too small to be measured by the present techniques.  相似文献
