This work describes the dielectric properties of piezoelectric poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) thin films in the frequency and temperature ranges relevant for usual applications. We measured the isothermal dielectric relaxation spectra of commercial piezoelectric PVDF thin films between 10 Hz to 10 MHz, at several temperatures from 278 K to 308 K. Measurements were made for samples in mechanically free and clamped conditions, in the direction of the poling field (perpendicular to the film). We found that the imaginary part of the dielectric relaxation spectra of free and clamped PVDF samples is dominated by a peak, above 100 kHz, that can be characterized by a Havriliak-Negami function. The characteristic time follows an Arrhenius dependence on temperature. Moreover, the spectra of the free PVDF samples show two additional peaks at low frequencies which are associated with mechanical relaxation processes. Our results are important for the characterization of piezoelectric PVDF, particularly after the stretching and poling processes in thin films, and for the design and characterization of a broad range of ultrasonic transducers.  相似文献

Summary The main features of the spectral characteristics of the spontaneously emitted Ĉerenkov light in circular and rectangular wave guides filled with dielectric are discussed. The characteristics of the radiation emitted by an electron beam moving near and parallel to the surface of a dielectric slab are also analysed. Finally, the relevance of these results to a possible FEL-Ĉerenkov operation is briefly discussed.
Riassunto In questo lavoro si discutono le caratteristiche dello spettro della radiazione Ĉerenkov, emessa in guide d'onde circolari e rettangolari riempite con dielettrico. Si analizzano inoltre le proprietà della radiazione emessa da un fascio di elettroni in moto in prossimità e parallelamente alla superficie di una ?slab? di dielettrico. Si discute, infine, brevemente, l'importanza di questi risultati per la realizzazione di un possibile FEL-Ĉerenkov.

Резюме Обсуждаются основиые особенности спектральных характеристик спонтанного черенковского излучения в круговых и прямоугольных волноводах, заполненных диэлектриком. Также анализируются характеристики излучения, испущенного электронным пучком, движущимся вблизи и пораллелйно поверхности диэлектрической пластинки. В заключение, вкратце обсуждется применимость полученных результатов в возможных FEL-черенковских приборах.

Dynamics of the tippe top via Routhian reduction   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
We consider a tippe top modeled as an eccentric sphere, spinning on a horizontal table and subject to a sliding friction. Ignoring translational effects, we show that the system is reducible using a Routhian reduction technique. The reduced system is a two dimensional system of second order differential equations, that allows an elegant and compact way to retrieve the classification of tippe tops in six groups as proposed in [1] according to the existence and stability type of the steady states.   相似文献

Reactions between the complex [MnII(L)]2+, where L is a N3O2 macrocyclic ligand, and different cyanometalate precursors such as [M(CN)n]m- (M(III) = Cr, Fe; M(II) = Fe, Ni, Pd, Pt) lead to cyano-bridged molecular assemblies exhibiting a variety of structural topologies. The reaction between [MnII(L)]2+ and [FeII(CN)6]4- forms a trinuclear complex with formula [(MnII(L)(H2O))2(FeII(micro-CN)2(CN)4)] x 2MeOH x 10H2O (1) which crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1. The reaction between [MnII(L)]2+ and [M(II)(CN)4]2-, where M(II) = Ni (2), Pd (3), Pt (4), gives rise to three isostructural linear chain compounds with stoichiometry [(MnII(L))(M(II)(micro-CN)2(CN)2)]n and which crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2/c. The self-assembly between [MnII(L)]2+ with [M(III)(CN)6]3-, where M(III) = Cr (5), Fe (6, 7, 8), forms three types of compounds. Compounds 5 and 6 are isostructural (monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n), and the structures comprise anionic linear chains [(MnII(L))(M(III)(micro-CN)2(CN)4)]n(n-) with cationic trinuclear complexes [(MnII(L)(H2O))2(M(III)(micro-CN)2(CN)4)]+ as counterions. Using an excess of K3[FeIII(CN)6], an analogous compound to 6 but with K+ as counterion is obtained (7), which crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1. Compound 8 consists of 2-D layers with formula [(MnII(L))3(FeIII(micro-CN)4(CN)2)(FeIII(micro-CN)2(CN)4)]n x 2nMeOH; it crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n. The magnetic properties were investigated for all samples. In particular, compound 5, which shows antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between Mn(II) and Cr(III) ions through cyanide bridging ligands, has been studied in detail; the magnetic exchange parameter amounts to J = -7.5(7) cm(-1). Compound 8 shows a magnetically ordered phase below 6.4 K which is confirmed by M?ssbauer spectroscopy; two hyperfine split spectra were observed below Tc from which IJI values of 2.1 and 1.6 cm(-1) could be deduced.  相似文献

We report the first experimental implementation of a method based on simultaneous use of an energy chirp in the electron beam and a tapered undulator, for the generation of ultrashort pulses in a self-amplified spontaneous emission mode free-electron laser (SASE FEL). The experiment, performed at the SPARC FEL test facility, demonstrates the possibility of compensating the nominally detrimental effect of the chirp by a proper taper of the undulator gaps. An increase of more than 1 order of magnitude in the pulse energy is observed in comparison to the untapered case, accompanied by FEL spectra where the typical SASE spiking is suppressed.  相似文献

We introduce a general reduction method for the study of periodic points near a fixed point in a family of reversible diffeomorphisms. We impose no restrictions on the linearization at the fixed point except invertibility, allowing higher multiplicities. It is shown that the problem reduces to a similar problem for a reduced family of diffeomorphisms, which is itself reversible, but also has an additional ? q -symmetry. The reversibility in combination with the ? q -symmetry translates to a 𝕋 q -symmetry for the problem, which allows to write down the bifurcation equations. Moreover, the reduced family can be calculated up to any order by a normal form reduction on the original system. The method of proof combines normal forms with the Lyapunov–Schmidt method, and makes repetitive use of the Implicit Function Theorem. As an application we analyze the branching of periodic points near a fixed point in a family of reversible mappings, when for a critical value of the parameters the linearization at the fixed point has either a pair of simple purely imaginary eigenvalues that are roots of unity or a pair of non-semisimple purely imaginary eigenvalues that are roots of unity with algebraic multiplicity 2 and geometric multiplicity 1.  相似文献
