Piecewise interpolation methods, as spline or Hermite cubic interpolation methods, define the interpolant function by means of polynomial pieces and ensure that some regularity conditions are guaranteed at the break-points. In this work, we propose a novel class of piecewise interpolating functions whose expression depends on the barycentric coordinates and a suitable weight function. The underlying idea is to specialize to the 1D settings some aspects of techniques widely used in multi-dimensional interpolation, namely Shepard’s, barycentric and triangle-based blending methods. We show the properties of convergence for the interpolating functions and discuss how, in some cases, the properties of regularity that characterize the weight function are reflected on the interpolant function. Numerical experiments, applied to some case studies and real scenarios, show the benefit of our method compared to other interpolant models.  相似文献

An analytical method was developed for antimony speciation and antimony(III) preconcentration in water samples. The method is based on the selective retention of Sb(III) by modified Saccharomyces cerevisiae in the presence of Sb(V). Heat, caustic and solvent pretreatments of the biomass were investigated to improve the kinetics and thermodynamics of Sb(III) uptake process at room temperature. Heating for 30 min at 80 degrees C was defined as the optimal treatment. Antimony accumulation by the cells was independent of pH (5-10) and ionic strength (0.01-0.1 mol L(-1)). 140 mg of yeast and 2h of contact were necessary to ensure quantitative sequestration of Sb(III) up to 750 microg L(-1). In these conditions, Sb(V) was not retained. Sb(V) was quantified in sorption supernatant by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) or inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). Sb(III) was determined after elution with 40 mmol L(-1) thioglycolic acid at pH 10. A preconcentration factor close to nine was achieved for Sb(III) when 100mL of sample was processed. After preconcentration, the detection limits for Sb(III) and Sb(V) were 2 and 5 ng L(-1), respectively, using ICP-MS, 7 and 0.9 microg L(-1) using ICP-OES. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of Sb(III) and Sb(V) in spiked river and mineral water samples. The relative standard deviations (n=3) were in the 2-5% range at the tenth microg L(-1) level and less than 10% at the lowest Sb(III) and Sb(V) tested concentration (0.1 microg L(-1)). Film restoration aims to remove or reduce various types of film and video defects in order to provide visual enhancements of image sequences. The automatic treatment of these defects is a challenge. Restoration is still performed by hand even if by using numerical techniques for retouching. This is a very intensive activity and great improvements, both in quality and in speed, can be obtained by using automatic or semiautomatic software.  相似文献

With reference to the evaluation of the speed–precision efficiency of pricing and hedging of American Put options, we present and discuss numerical results obtained on the basis of four different large enough random samples according to the relevance of the American quality (relative importance of the early exercise opportunity) of the options. Here we provide a comparison of the best methods (lattice based numerical methods and an approximation of the American Premium analytical procedure) known in literature along with some key methodological remarks.  相似文献

We tackle the problem of computing fair periodical premiums of an equity-linked policy with a maturity guarantee and an embedded surrender option. We consider the policy as a Bermudan-style contingent claim that can be exercised at the premium payment dates. The evaluation framework is based on a discretization of a bivariate model that considers the joint evolution of the equity value with stochastic interest rates. To deeply reduce the computational complexity of the pricing problem we use the singular points framework that allows us to compute accurate upper and lower estimates of the policy premiums.  相似文献

We demonstrate that a gentle gas adsorption technique can be used to achieve an optimal covering of silicon-based photonic crystal slabs, leading to an unexpectedly large (up to 42 nm) shift of the resonant modes wavelength, with possibility of fine tuning. Strong enhancement (up to 30 times) of the emission band of the Er3+ ion into such structures is obtained. Finally, we were able to balance the adsorption and desorption processes by controlling the sample temperature, thus yielding a stable mode at the desired wavelength.  相似文献

Functionalized 1,3-enzynes of general formula 1 have been prepared in good yields by coupling reaction of 1-alkynes or ω-functionalized 1-alkynes halides in the presence of a catalytic amount of (PPh3)4Pd and Cul. The reactions, which were carried out under phase transfer conditions employing benzyltriethylammonium chloride as phase transfer agent, benzene as organic solvent and diluted aq NaOH as base, occurred with 100% stereospecificity when 1-halo-1-alkenes of defined configuration were used. Such coupling reactions have been employed to prepare some pure insect sex pheromone components or their precursors in high overall yield.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Glucal 3-carbamates 1 and 7 underwent oxidative cyclization with iodobenzene diacetate or iodosobenzene in the presence of Rh2(OAc)4, providing mannosamine 2-N,3-O-oxazolidinones. With iodosobenzene, incorporation of 4-penten-1-ol provided a readily separable anomeric mixture of n-pentenyl glycosides, with the anomers exhibiting pronounced differences in reactivity as glycosyl donors. N-acylation of the sugar oxazolidinones led to alpha-selective glycosyl donors for the elaboration of various 2-mannosamine frameworks. Alternatively, the anomeric n-pentenyl glycosides of N-Cbz 2-mannosamine oxazolidinones were converted separately to oxazolidinone-opened derivatives 28alpha and 28beta. These served as stereoconvergent glycosyl donors, and the alpha-linked products were readily advanced to a variety of N-acetylmannosamine (ManNAc) frameworks, using an intramolecular O-->N acetyl transfer as the final step.  相似文献

Ultrasound effects on biological samples are gaining a growing interest concerning in particular, the intracellular delivery of drugs and genes in a safe and in a efficient way. Future progress in this field will require a better understanding of how ultrasound and acoustic cavitation affect the biological system properties. The morphological changes of cells due to ultrasound (US) exposure have been extensively studied, while little attention has been given to the cells structural changes. We have exposed two different cell lines to 1 MHz frequency ultrasound currently used in therapy, Jurkat T-lymphocytes and NIH-3T3 fibroblasts, both employed as models respectively in the apoptosis and in the gene therapy studies. The Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy was used as probe to reveal the structural changes in particular molecular groups belonging to the main biological systems. The genotoxic damage of cells exposed to ultrasound was ascertained by the Cytokinesis-Block Micronucleus (CBMN) assay. The FTIR spectroscopy results, combined with multivariate statistical analysis, regarding all cellular components (lipids, proteins, nucleic acids) of the two cell lines, show that Jurkat cells are more sensitive to therapeutic ultrasound in the lipid and protein regions, whereas the NIH-3T3 cells are more sensitive in the nucleic acids region; a meaningful genotoxic effect is present in both cell lines only for long sonication times while in the Jurkat cells also a significant cytotoxic effect is revealed for long times of exposure to ultrasound.  相似文献
