Development of reliable and eco-friendly process for synthesis of metallic nanoparticles is an important step in the filed of application of nanotechnology. One of the options to achieve this objective is to use natural processes such as use of biological systems. In this work we have investigated extracellular biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using Aspergillus fumigatus. The synthesis process was quite fast and silver nanoparticles were formed within minutes of silver ion coming in contact with the cell filtrate. UV–visible spectrum of the aqueous medium containing silver ion showed a peak at 420 nm corresponding to the plasmon absorbance of silver nanoparticles. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) micrograph showed formation of well-dispersed silver nanoparticles in the range of 5–25 nm. X-ray diffraction (XRD)-spectrum of the silver nanoparticles exhibited 2θ values corresponding to the silver nanocrystal. The process of reduction being extracellular and fast may lead to the development of an easy bioprocess for synthesis of silver nanoparticles.  相似文献

From the underground parts of Eskemukerjea megacarpum HARA, two new stilbenes (14, 15) were isolated, together with a known coumarin, 5,7-dihydroxycoumarin (1), a tyramine derivative, trans-feruloyltyramine (2), two pyrogallol derivatives, gallic acid (3) and beta-glucogallin (4), four flavonoids, trifolin (5), hyperin (6), myricetin 3-O-beta-D-galactopyranoside (7), and myricitrin (8), five stilbenes, resveratorol (9), astringenin (10), piceid (11) astringin (12), and resveratorol 3-O-beta-D-(6-O-galloyl)glucopyranoside (13), a flavan-3-ol, (-)-epigallocatechin 3-O-gallate (16), two proanthocyanidins, catechin-(4alpha-->8)-epigallocatechin 3-O-gallate (17) and epicatechin 3-O-gallate-(4beta-->8)-epigallocatechin 3-O-gallate (18), and an anthocyanin, idaein (19). Compounds 14 and 15 were identified as (E)-3,5,3',4'-tetrahydroxystilbene 3-O-beta-D-(6-O-galloyl)glucopyranoside and (E)-3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene 3-O-beta-D-(6-O-galloyl)glucopyranoside, respectively, based on spectral and chemical data.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a definable category–a category equivalent to a full subcategory of a locally finitely presentable category that is closed under products, directed colimits and pure subobjects. Definable subcategories are precisely the finite-injectivity classes. We prove a 2-duality between the 2-category of small exact categories and the 2-category of definable categories, and provide a new proof of its additive version. We further introduce a third vertex of the 2-category of regular toposes and show that the diagram of 2-(anti-)equivalences between three 2-categories commutes; the corresponding additive triangle is well-known.  相似文献

Three novel 1-alkyldaphnane-type diterpenes, stelleralides A-C (4-6), and five known compounds were isolated from the roots of Stellera chamaejasme L. The structures of 4-6 were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analyses. Several isolated compounds showed potent anti-HIV activity. Compound 4 showed extremely potent anti-HIV activity (EC(90) 0.40 nM) with the lowest cytotoxicity (IC(50) 4.3 μM) and appears to be a promising compound for development into anti-AIDS clinical trial candidates.  相似文献

Using state-of-the-art density functional theoretical calculations, we have modelled a facetted CdS nanotube (NT) catalyst for photocatalytic water splitting. The overall photocatalytic activity of the CdS photocatalyst has been predicted based on the electronic structures, band edge alignment, and overpotential calculations. For comparisons, we have also investigated the water splitting process over bulk CdS. The band edge alignment along with the oxygen evolution reaction/hydrogen evolution reaction (OER/HER) mechanism studies help us find out the effective overpotential for the overall water splitting on these surfaces. Our study shows that the CdS NT has a highly stabilized valence band edge compared to that of bulk CdS owing to strong p–d mixing. The highly stabilized valence band edge is important for the hole-transfer process and reduces the risk of electron-hole recombination. CdS nanotube requires less overpotential for water oxidation reaction than the bulk CdS. Our findings suggest that the efficiency of the water oxidation/reduction process further improves in CdS as we reduce its dimensionality, that is going from bulk CdS to one-dimensional nanotube. Furthermore, the stabilized valence band edge of CdS nanotube also improves the photostability of CdS, which is a problem for bulk CdS.  相似文献

Four highly porous covalent organic frameworks (COFs) containing pyrene units were prepared and explored for photocatalytic H2O2 production. The experimental studies are complemented by density functional theory calculations, proving that the pyrene unit is more active for H2O2 production than the bipyridine and (diarylamino)benzene units reported previously. H2O2 decomposition experiments verified that the distribution of pyrene units over a large surface area of COFs plays an important role in catalytic performance. The Py-Py-COF though contains more pyrene units than other COFs which induces a high H2O2 decomposition due to a dense concentration of pyrene in close proximity over a limited surface area. Therefore, a two-phase reaction system (water-benzyl alcohol) was employed to inhibit H2O2 decomposition. This is the first report on applying pyrene-based COFs in a two-phase system for photocatalytic H2O2 generation.  相似文献
