The aim of this paper is to study parabolic integro-differential equations of Kirchhoff type. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution for this problem via Galerkin method. Semidiscrete formulation for this problem is presented using conforming finite element method. As a consequence of the Ritz–Volterra projection, we derive error estimates for both semidiscrete solution and its time derivative. To find the numerical solution of this class of equations, we develop two different types of numerical schemes, which are based on backward Euler–Galerkin method and Crank–Nicolson–Galerkin method. A priori bounds and convergence estimates in spatial as well as temporal direction of the proposed schemes are established. Finally, we conclude this work by implementing some numerical experiments to confirm our theoretical results.  相似文献

The flow of a power-law fluid is investigated in an asymmetric channel caused by the movement of peristaltic waves with the same speed but with different amplitudes and phases on the flexible walls of the channel. The differential equation governing the flow is non-linear and can admit non-unique solutions. There exist two different physically meaningful solutions one satisfying the boundary conditions at the upper wall and the other at the lower wall. The effects of the power-law nature of the fluid on the pumping characteristics and axial velocity are studied in detail.  相似文献

In this article, we study the Fu?ik spectrum of the fractional Laplace operator which is defined as the set of all \({(\alpha, \beta)\in \mathbb{R}^2}\) such that $$\quad \left.\begin{array}{ll}\quad (-\Delta)^s u = \alpha u^{+} - \beta u^{-} \quad {\rm in}\;\Omega \\ \quad \quad \quad u = 0 \quad \quad \quad \qquad {\rm in}\; \mathbb{R}^n{\setminus}\Omega.\end{array}\right\}$$ has a non-trivial solution u, where \({\Omega}\) is a bounded domain in \({\mathbb{R}^n}\) with Lipschitz boundary, n > 2s, \({s \in (0, 1)}\) . The existence of a first nontrivial curve \({\mathcal{C}}\) of this spectrum, some properties of this curve \({\mathcal{C}}\) , e.g. Lipschitz continuous, strictly decreasing and asymptotic behavior are studied in this article. A variational characterization of second eigenvalue of the fractional eigenvalue problem is also obtained. At the end, we study a nonresonance problem with respect to the Fu?ik spectrum.  相似文献

In this paper we study the obstacle problems for the fractional Lapalcian of order s ∈ (0, 1) in a bounded domain \({\Omega }\subset \mathbb {R}^{n}\), under mild assumptions on the data.  相似文献

We consider the resonance problems for Hardy-Sobolev operator L w u := m j p u m w /(| x | p )| u | p m 2 u , 0 h w < (( N m p ) p ) p / at an arbitrary eigen value. Here j p is the usual p -Laplacean. We prove the existence of weak solutions assuming a standard Landesman-Lazer condition.  相似文献

Let Ω be a bounded domain in ${\mathbb{R}^2}$ with smooth boundary. We consider the following singular and critical elliptic problem with discontinuous nonlinearity: $$(P_\lambda)\left \{\begin{array}{ll} - \Delta u = \lambda \left(\frac{m(x, u) e^{\alpha{u}^2}}{|x|^{\beta}} + u^{q}g(u - a)\right),\quad{u} > 0 \quad {\rm in} \quad \Omega\\u \quad \quad = 0\quad {\rm on} \quad \partial \Omega \end{array}\right.$$ where ${0\leq q < 1 ,0< \alpha\leq4\pi}$ and ${\beta \in [0, 2)}$ such that ${\frac{\beta}{2} + \frac{\alpha}{4\pi} \leq 1}$ and ${{g(t - a) = \left\{\begin{array}{ll}1, t \leq a\\ 0, t > a.\end{array}\right.}}$ Under the suitable assumptions on m(x, t) we show the existence and multiplicity of solutions for maximal interval for λ.  相似文献

The constitution of blood demands a yield stress fluid model, and among the available yield stress fluid models for blood flow, the Herschel-Bulkley model is preferred (because Bingham, Power-law and Newtonian models are its special cases). The Herschel-Bulkley fluid model has two parameters, namely the yield stress and the power law index. The expressions for velocity, plug flow velocity, wall shear stress, and the flux flow rate are derived. The flux is determined as a function of inlet, outlet and external pressures, yield stress, and the elastic property of the tube. Further when the power-law index n = 1 and the yield stress τ 0 → 0, our results agree well with those of Rubinow and Keller [J. Theor. Biol. 35, 299 (1972)]. Furthermore, it is observed that, the yield stress and the elastic parameters (t 1 and t 2) have strong effects on the flux of the non-Newtonian fluid flow in the elastic tube. The results obtained for the flow characteristics reveal many interesting behaviors that warrant further study on the non-Newtonian fluid flow phenomena, especially the shear-thinning phenomena. Shear thinning reduces the wall shear stress.  相似文献
