In this paper, we consider approximation to derivatives of a function by using radial basis function interpolation. Most of well-known theories for this problem provide error analysis in terms of the so-called native space, say Cφ. However, if a basis function φ is smooth, the space Cφ is extremely small. Thus, the purpose of this study is to extend this result to functions in the homogenous Sobolev space. 相似文献

In this paper, we introduce an improved version of mapped weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) schemes for solving Hamilton–Jacobi equations. To this end, we first discuss new smoothness indicators for WENO construction. Then the new smoothness indicators are combined with the mapping function developed by Henrick et al. (2005) [31]. The proposed scheme yields fifth-order accuracy in smooth regions and sharply resolve discontinuities in the derivatives. Numerical experiments are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed schemes on a variety of one-dimensional and two-dimensional problems. 相似文献

For this study, a 4 stage electrical low pressure impactor was designed to measure the real‐time size distribution of diesel particulate matter (DPM). For the performance evaluation, sodium chloride (NaCl) particles and dioctyl sebacate (DOS) particles were used. After evaluating the collection efficiency of each stage of the impactor, the size distributions of test particles were estimated using electrical current data and their inversion algorithm, and this was found to agree with the results obtained by a scanning mobility particle sizer (SMPS). For measurement of DPM, a common‐rail direct injection (CRDI) diesel engine, for engine speeds of 1,200 rpm and 1,500 rpm at 2.7 kgf·m, was used. Therefore, it was found that the size distribution of the DPM could be easily obtained, with the currents measured by the impactor and the data inversion algorithm, in less than 5 seconds. Furthermore, the effective density of the DPM could be obtained using the calculated results and the SMPS data. 相似文献

We study stationary subdivision schemes based on radial basis function interpolation. Each scheme has a tension parameter, say λ, which actually belongs to the radial basis function. In particular, adapted subdivision rules on bounded intervals are developed. 相似文献

Pd-Catalyzed oxidative alkynylation of azoles with terminal alkynes was developed via simultaneous activation of both heterocyclic sp(2) C-H and alkynyl sp C-H bonds. The choice of palladium catalyst source and external base resulted in being important factors for performing the reaction with high efficiency and selectivity, and air was successfully utilized as an environmental oxidant in the present alkynylation procedure. 相似文献

A new family of interpolatory stationary subdivision schemes is introduced by using radial basis function interpolation. This
work extends earlier studies on interpolatory stationary subdivision schemes in two aspects. First, it provides a wider class
of interpolatory schemes; each 2L-point interpolatory scheme has the freedom of choosing a degree (say, m) of polynomial reproducing. Depending on the combination (2L,m), the proposed scheme suggests different subdivision rules. Second, the scheme turns out to be a 2L-point interpolatory scheme with a tension parameter. The conditions for convergence and smoothness are also studied.

Two species of animals are competing in the same environment. Under what conditions do they coexist peacefully? Or under what conditions does either one of the two species become extinct, that is, is either one of the two species excluded by the other? It is natural to say that they can coexist peacefully if their rates of reproduction and self-limitation are relatively larger than those of competition rates. In other words, they can survive if they interact strongly among themselves and weakly with others. We investigate this phenomena in mathematical point of view. In this paper we concentrate on coexistence solutions of the competition model $\left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {\Delta u + u(a - g(u,v)) = 0,} \\ {\Delta v + v(d - h(u,v)) = 0in\Omega ,} \\ {u|_{\partial \Omega } = v|_{\partial \Omega } = 0.} \\ \end{array} } \right.$ . This system is the general model for the steady state of a competitive interacting system. The techniques used in this paper are elliptic theory, super-sub solutions, maximum principles, implicit function theorem and spectrum estimates. The arguments also rely on some detailed properties of the solution of logistic equations. 相似文献
