Background  

In the CNS, the heterotrimeric G protein Gαi2 is a minor Gα subunit with restricted localization in the ventricular regions including the ependymal cilia. The localization of Gαi2 is conserved in cilia of different tissues, suggesting a particular role in ciliary function. Although studies with Gαi2-knockout mice have provided information on the role of this Gα subunit in peripheral tissues, its role in the CNS is largely unknown. We used intracerebroventricular (icv) antisense administration to clarify the physiological role of Gαi2 in the ventricular system.  相似文献

In direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC), methanol crossover is a major issue which has reduced the performance of polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) for energy generation. In this study, graphene oxide (GO) and conductive polyaniline decorated GO (PANI-GO) were used as additives in fabrication of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) nanocomposite PEM membrane to reduce methanol crossover. PANI-GO was synthesized by in situ polymerization method and the formation of PANI coated GO nanostructures was confirmed by surface morphology and crystallinity analysis. The membrane morphology and topography analysis confirmed that GO and PANI-GO were well dispersed on the surface of SPEEK membrane. 0.1 wt% PANI-GO modified SPEEK nanocomposite membrane exhibited the highest water uptake and ion exchange capacity of 40% and 1.74 meq g?1, respectively. The oxidative stability of the nanocomposite membranes also improved. Lower methanol permeability of 4.33 × 10?7 cm?2S?1 was noticed for 0.1 wt% PANI-GO modified SPEEK membrane. PANI-GO modified SPEEK membrane enhanced the proton conductivity, which was due to the existence of acidic and hydrophilic group present in PANI and GO. PANI-GO modified SPEEK membrane held higher selectivity of 1.94 × 104 S cm?3 s?1. Overall, these studies revealed that PANI-GO modified SPEEK membrane is a potential material for DMFC applications.  相似文献

Norbornene–ethylene copolymers were prepared using the metallocene catalyst ethylene bis (indenyl) zirconium dichloride with MAO, and their microstructure was characterized with 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR methods. From a Cosy 1H-NMR spectrum it was found that all norbornene units are enchained in the exo-configuration. The sequence distribution of norbornene units was investigated using 13C-1H correlations, hmqc for one-bond correlations, and hmbc for two- or three-bond correlations. It was shown that norbornene diads were formed at a high norbornene content (45 mol %). When further increasing the norbornene incorporation (66 mol %) a number of new signals were obtained. A Cosy 1H-NMR spectrum revealed a new crosspeak which, according to the corresponding 13C-NMR shifts (hmqc), correlated well with a terminal unit of a trimer of norbornene. This means that at very high norbornene contents, norbornene triads can be formed. Because the formation of isotactic norbornene triads is very difficult to understand from a sterical point of view, an epimerization process causing stereoirregularities in the norbornene triad is proposed. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
