Extremal Decompositions of Riemann Surfaces and Quasiconformal Mappings of Special Form. II

Let be a finite Riemann surface. For a quadratic differential on associated with a certain problem on extremal decomposition of into n domains, a parametric family of quasiconformal mappings , is defined. These mappings map the domains of the extremal decomposition of onto the domains of the extremal decomposition of ._K This allows one to study the functional dependence of the problem on the parameters. Kinetics of volatile component evaporation from solution-melt

 The kinetics of volatile component evaporation from an atomic solution-melt into a gaseous phase has been theoretically studied. The transfer of the volatile substance in the system is considered to be fulfilled by the diffusion mechanism. The volatile component can evaporate either in the atomic form or as dimers. Physical factors limiting the evaporation rate as well as characteristic system parameters have been determined. Received on 22 November 1999     

Estimating the energy performance of an insulator with regard to the relaxation time distribution

The energy relationships in the macroscopic electrodynamics of an insulator are analyzed with regard to the polarization relaxation time distribution. Expressions for the discharge power and discharge energy flux densities in an insulator are derived for an electric field exponentially depending on time. The performance of polyethylene terephthalate in capacitive energy storage systems is estimated in terms of energy.
