Hyper-Rayleigh scattering in the third harmonic generation (incoherent optical third harmonic) was experimentally observed in spatially inhomogeneous, quasi-two-dimensional structures formed by silver island films. A comprehensive analysis of the linear and nonlinear light scattering in combination with the results of atomic-force microscopy revealed the fractal nature of the island films studied in the experiment.  相似文献

The angular dependence of the sputtering yield and the spatial distribution of particles ejecting from a boron nitride polycrystal with a wurtzite structure in the temperature range from 0 to 2800°C under bombardment with 300 eV xenon ions are calculated by the molecular dynamics method. A reduction of steepness of the curves of angular dependence of boron nitride sputtering with increasing temperature is revealed. Features of the obtained distributions are analyzed on the basis of mechanisms of interaction of slow heavy ions with surface target atoms.  相似文献

Vedernikov suggested to study foliated formations with directions such that , where and are also some directions, from a unified point of view. We study one-generated factorable foliated formations with directions from the interval [,], where and are the directions of the bicanonical and composition formations, respectively. Surface-enhanced optical third-harmonic generation (THG) is observed in silver island films. The THG intensity from Ag nanoparticles is enhanced by more than 2 orders of magnitude with respect to the THG intensity from a smooth and homogeneous silver surface. This enhancement is attributed to a local plasmon excitation and resonance of the local field at the third-harmonic wavelength. The diffuse and depolarized component of the enhanced THG is associated with the third-order hyper-Rayleigh scattering in a two-dimensional random array of silver nanoparticles.  相似文献

The dependence of sputtering coefficients of polycrystals of some metals and binary compositions on the mass of bombarding ions with the energies in the range 200–2000 eV was studied by the molecular dynamics technique. The dependence of sputtering on target parameters was investigated. Targets with both similar and different densities, lattice constants, and surface binding energies were considered. Sputtering coefficients, source depths, mean energies, and the number of sputtered particle generations were calculated. Peculiarities of the obtained dependences are explained.  相似文献

A molecular dynamics simulation was performed to study the sputtering yield Y for BN, AlN and GaN polycrystals of wurtzite structure as a function of the masses m 1 of bombarding ions with energies from 200 to 2000 eV. A nonmonotonic behavior of the Y(m 1) curve was obtained for the irradiation by low-energy ions, the curve having a maximum with a position being dependent on m2/m1 (m2 is the average mass of atoms in a compound). For AlN and GaN the maximum was observed at m2/m1 = 2, and for BN at m2/m1 = 1. The effect of the mass of bombarding ions on the mean energies and energy spectra of sputtered particles, the depth of sputtering origin, and the generation of emitted atoms for nitrides was also investigated and discussed.  相似文献

The low-energy electron radiation resistance of boron nitride-based BN + Si3N4 and BN + SiO2 ceramics proposed as a construction material for ion space engines was studied. It was shown that a reduced silicon phase is formed on the BN + Si3N4 ceramics surface in the high-temperature region (~900 K), which results from material thermal destruction. The BN + SiO2 ceramics exhibits high thermal stability and is not prone to destruction due to electron-stimulated oxygen desorption (the cross section of this process does not exceed 10?20 cm2). It is preferable to use such ceramics as a construction material. Based on the results obtained, some models were proposed that explain variations in the erosion rate of ceramic units of ion engines under electron and ion irradiation.  相似文献

Giant third optical harmonic (TH) generation has been experimentally observed in island silver films. The TH intensity in the island silver films studied is more than two orders of magnitude higher than the value observed for the smooth surface of a homogeneous silver film. The mechanism of enhancement of the nonlinear cubic response is associated with the resonance enhancement of the local optical field at the TH wavelength, which is caused by the excitation of local surface plasmons in the ensemble of metal nanoparticles.  相似文献

Low-energy electron stimulated desorption (ESD) and surface modifications of CaF2 and BaF2 single crystals were experimentally studied at different surface temperatures. A technique based on the dependence of the surface composition on the electron irradiation dose was applied to determining the ESD cross section. The surface composition was measured by Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). Surface topography was examined by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The ESD mechanisms for fluorides were discussed.  相似文献

The azimuthal and polar angle distribution of Ni+ and Mo+ ions emitted from an ordered Ni4 Mo single crystal irradiated with 10-keV Ar+ ions was studied. Different azimuthal distributions for Ni+ and Mo+ ions emitted from the (001) Ni4Mo face were detected; emission maxima were observed in 〈 011 〉 and 〈 001 〉 directions for Ni+ and Mo+ ions, respectively. It was shown that polar distributions of nickel’s secondary ions vary with its energy. The observed systematic features were explained by correlated collisions in the upper layers of a Ni4Mo single crystal.  相似文献
