Canonical connection on a class of Reimannian almost product manifolds

The canonical connection on a Reimannian almost product manifold is an analogue to the Hermitian connection on an almost Hermitian manifold. In this paper we consider the canonical connection on a class of Reimannian almost product manifolds with non-integrable almost product structure.     

Coulometric bipotentiometric titration of bases and their mixtures in acetic anhydride in the presence of two pretreated metal (Au,Pd)- quinhydrone electrodes

Summary The possibility of application of gold and palladium as the metal phase of quinhydrone electrodes in coulometric bipotentiometric titrations of bases alone and of some of their two-component mixtures in acetic anhydride was investigated. The effect of activation of these electrodes, by heating in an alcohol flame, on the shape of the titration curve is discussed. The amounts of bases determined were 5.0–10.0 eq. Errors did not exceed ±2%.

Zusammenfassung Die Möglichkeit der Verwendung von Gold und Palladium als Metallphase von Chinhydronelektroden bei coulometrischen bipotentiometrischen Titrationen von Basen allein oder Gemischen zweier Basen in Essigsäureanhydrid wurde untersucht. Der Einfluß der Aktivierung dieser Elektroden durch Glühen in einer Alkoholflamme auf die Form der Titrationskurve wurde diskutiert. Die Mengen der analysierten Basen entsprach 5,0–10,0 Mikroäquivalenten. Die Ermittlungsfehler liegen innerhalb ± 2%.

     

Intelligent networks based on poly(oxyethylene)

Films of PEO and PEO blends were efficiently crosslinked by exposure to ultraviolet radiation with high-pressure mercury lamp. Photochemical crosslinking proceeded in the presence of photoinitiator such as benzophenone or pentaerythritol triacrylate. PEO networks obtained by UV irradiation in the presence of potassium salts (thiocyanate, perchlorate and triflate) as templates showed enhanced cation binding ability for Li⁺ and Na⁺ cations. Cationic networks were prepared from crosslinked PEO modified with ethyl methacrylate dimethyl dodecyl ammonium bromide. Stimuli-sensitive hydrogels (pH and temperature) were prepared from combinations of PEO and poly-N-isopropyl acryl amide, polyvinyl methyl ether, polyvinyl acetate and poly-2-vinyl pyridine subjected to UV irradiation.     

Conformal Riemannian P-manifolds with connections whose curvature tensors are Riemannian P-tensors

The largest class of Riemannian almost product manifolds, which is closed with respect to the group of the conformal transformations of the Riemannian metric, is the class of the conformal Riemannian P-manifolds. This class is an analogue of the class of the conformal Kähler manifolds in almost Hermitian geometry. The main aim of this work is to obtain properties of manifolds of this class with connections, whose curvature tensors have similar properties as the Kähler tensors in Hermitian geometry.
