Some evidence is presented for a narrow peak at 1969±2 MeV (FWHM=9±2 MeV) in the missing mass spectrum of the3He(p, d) reaction, with 3 standard deviations. The nature of this state, the mass of which is below the NN threshold, is discussed in connection with structures found in other experiments.  相似文献

Summary Let (X i ,Y i ) d , be independent identically distributed random variables with arbitrary distribution. We show that, for almost every(Y i ) i , the conditional law of the empirical field given(Y i ) i satisfies to large deviation inequalities. This applies to the study of Gibbs measures with random interaction, in the case of some mean-field models as well as of short range summable interaction. We show that the pressure is nonrandom, and is given by a variational formula. These random Gibbs measures have the same large deviation rate, which does not depend on the particular realization of the interaction; their local behaviour is described in terms of conditional probabilities given the interaction of solutions to the variational formula.  相似文献

We study the survival probability and the growth rate for branching random walks in random environment (BRWRE). The particles perform simple symmetric random walks on the d-dimensional integer lattice, while at each time unit, they split into independent copies according to time–space i.i.d. offspring distributions. The BRWRE is naturally associated with the directed polymers in random environment (DPRE), for which the quantity called the free energy is well studied. We discuss the survival probability (both global and local) for BRWRE and give a criterion for its positivity in terms of the free energy of the associated DPRE. We also show that the global growth rate for the number of particles in BRWRE is given by the free energy of the associated DPRE, though the local growth rate is given by the directional free energy.  相似文献

Deuteron-gold (d+Au) collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider provide ideal platforms for testing QCD theories in dense nuclear matter at high energy. In particular, models suggesting strong saturation effects for partons carrying small nucleon momentum fraction (x) predict modifications to jet production at forward rapidity (deuteron-going direction) in d+Au collisions. We report on two-particle azimuthal angle correlations between charged hadrons at forward/backward (deuteron/gold going direction) rapidity and charged hadrons at midrapidity in d+Au and p+p collisions at square root of sNN=200 GeV. Jet structures observed in the correlations are quantified in terms of the conditional yield and angular width of away-side partners. The kinematic region studied here samples partons in the gold nucleus with x~0.1 to ~0.01. Within this range, we find no x dependence of the jet structure in d+Au collisions.  相似文献

A three-dimensional correlation function obtained from midrapidity, low p(T), pion pairs in central Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s(NN)]=200 GeV is studied. The extracted model-independent source function indicates a long range tail in the directions of the pion pair transverse momentum (out) and the beam (long). A proper breakup time tau(0) ~ 9 fm/c and a mean proper emission duration Delta tau ~ 2 fm/c, leading to sizable emission time differences ({|Delta t(LCM)|} approximately 12 fm/c), are required to allow models to be successfully matched to these tails. The model comparisons also suggest an outside-in "burning" of the emission source reminiscent of many hydrodynamical models.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of geometric spin system on the torus with long-range interaction. As the number of particles goes to infinity, the process converges to a deterministic, dynamical magnetization field that satisfies an Euler equation (law of large numbers). Its stable steady states are related to the limits of the equilibrium measures (Gibbs states) of the finite particle system. A related equation holds for the magnetization densities, for which the property of propagation of chaos also is established. We prove a dynamical central limit theorem with an infinite-dimensional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process as a limiting fluctuation process. At the critical temperature of a ferromagnetic phase transition, both a tighter quantity scaling and a time scaling is required to obtain convergence to a one-dimensional critical fluctuation process with constant magnetization fields, which has a non-Gaussian invariant distribution. Similarly, at the phase transition to an antiferromagnetic state with frequencyp 0, the fluctuation process with critical scaling converges to a two-dimensional critical fluctuation process, which consists of fields with frequencyp 0 and has a non-Gaussian invariant distribution on these fields. Finally, we compute the critical fluctuation process in the infinite particle limit at a triple point, where a ferromagnetic and an antiferromagnetic phase transition coincide.Work supported by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft  相似文献

We study the fluctuations of free energy, energy and entropy in the high temperature regime for the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model of spin glasses. We introduce here a new dynamical method with the help of brownian motions and continuous martingales indexed by the square root of the inverse temperature as parameter, thus formulating the thermodynamic formalism in terms of random processes. The well established technique of stochastic calculus leads us naturally to prove that these fluctuations are simple gaussian processes with independent increments, a generalization of a result proved by Aizenman, Lebowitz and Ruelle [1].  相似文献
