Albumin is one of the major components of synovial fluid. Due to its negative surface charge, it plays an essential role in many physiological processes, including the ability to form molecular complexes. In addition, glycosaminoglycans such as hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate are crucial components of synovial fluid involved in the boundary lubrication regime. This study presents the influence of Na+, Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions on human serum albumin–hyaluronan/chondroitin-6-sulfate interactions examined using molecular docking followed by molecular dynamics simulations. We analyze chosen glycosaminoglycans binding by employing a conformational entropy approach. In addition, several protein–polymer complexes have been studied to check how the binding site and presence of ions influence affinity. The presence of divalent cations contributes to the decrease of conformational entropy near carboxyl and sulfate groups. This observation can indicate the higher affinity between glycosaminoglycans and albumin. Moreover, domains IIIA and IIIB of albumin have the highest affinity as those are two domains that show a positive net charge that allows for binding with negatively charged glycosaminoglycans. Finally, in discussion, we suggest some research path to find particular features that would carry information about the dynamics of the particular type of polymers or ions.  相似文献

We investigate the following questions: Given a measure \(\mu _\Lambda \) on configurations on a subset \(\Lambda \) of a lattice \(\mathbb {L}\), where a configuration is an element of \(\Omega ^\Lambda \) for some fixed set \(\Omega \), does there exist a measure \(\mu \) on configurations on all of \(\mathbb {L}\), invariant under some specified symmetry group of \(\mathbb {L}\), such that \(\mu _\Lambda \) is its marginal on configurations on \(\Lambda \)? When the answer is yes, what are the properties, e.g., the entropies, of such measures? Our primary focus is the case in which \(\mathbb {L}=\mathbb {Z}^d\) and the symmetries are the translations. For the case in which \(\Lambda \) is an interval in \(\mathbb {Z}\) we give a simple necessary and sufficient condition, local translation invariance (LTI), for extendibility. For LTI measures we construct extensions having maximal entropy, which we show are Gibbs measures; this construction extends to the case in which \(\mathbb {L}\) is the Bethe lattice. On \(\mathbb {Z}\) we also consider extensions supported on periodic configurations, which are analyzed using de Bruijn graphs and which include the extensions with minimal entropy. When \(\Lambda \subset \mathbb {Z}\) is not an interval, or when \(\Lambda \subset \mathbb {Z}^d\) with \(d>1\), the LTI condition is necessary but not sufficient for extendibility. For \(\mathbb {Z}^d\) with \(d>1\), extendibility is in some sense undecidable.  相似文献

The electronic band structure and magnetic properties of iron phthalocyanine (FePc) monolayer were investigated by using the first-principles all-electron full-potential linearized augmented plane wave energy band method. It is found that the ferromagnetic FePc monolayer is energetically more stable than the paramagnetic one. The exchange interaction, which splits the majority and minority bands, influences strongly on the electronic structure near the Fermi level (EF). Magnetic moment of the central Fe atom is calculated to 1.95 μB. The range of the positive polarization of Fe site is larger in the out-of-plane than in the in-plane direction. The FePc ligand remains paramagnetic. The presence of states at EF indicates the metallic character of FePc monolayer both for the paramagnetic and ferromagnetic states. However, the large density of states at EF of the majority spins in the ferromagnetic state is expected to cause a phase transition to insulating antiferromagnetic state from the metallic ferromagnetic one.  相似文献

Fe-, Ni-, Co- and Ag- loaded NaNbO3 catalysts were prepared and their activities have been investigated in the reaction of photocatalytic hydrogen generation. Me/NaNbO3 were synthesized by impregnation of NaNbO3 in an aqueous solution of metal nitrates and then by calcination at the temperature of 400 °C. The crystallographic phases and optical and vibronic properties were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and diffuse reflectance (DR) UV-vis and resonance Raman spectroscopic methods, respectively. Morphology and chemical composition of the produced samples were studied using a high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM) and an energy dispersive X-Ray spectrometer (EDX) as its mode. The detailed analysis has revealed that all the investigated catalysts exhibit high crystallinity and the presence of Fe2O3, NiO, Co3O4 and Ag2O oxides on Me/NaNbO3 was confirmed. Finally, the influence of different metal loadings (Fe, Ni, Co and Ag) on the photocatalytic activity of NaNbO3 for photocatalytic hydrogen generation has been investigated. Here we report that among all the Me/NaNbO3 photocatalysts Ag-loaded NaNbO3 exhibited higher photocatalytic efficiency for photocatalytic hydrogen generation than NaNbO3.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline ribbons of Fe81−xCoxNb7B12 (where x ranges from 0 to 40.5 at%) Hitperm alloys have been investigated as to their basic magnetic properties and the influence of the macroscopic heterogeneity. Different crystalline share at surfaces compared with the volume average is observed by conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy (CEMS) and Mössbauer spectroscopy (MS), respectively. This marks the presence of macroscopic heterogeneity in these Hitperms. The heterogeneity is generally more significant in Ar-annealed samples than in the vacuum-annealed ones. The characteristic slant hysteresis loops (hard-ribbon-axis) are seen as a rule with few exceptions. An inspection of hysteresis loop response of resin potted samples shows that the surfaces bi-axially squeeze the ribbon interior in heterogeneous Hitperms when the ribbons cool down after annealing. Certain compositions show macroscopic viscous flow prior to crystallization so the heterogeneity gets another chance to induce anisotropy during annealing. The induction attains 1.5 T but saturates poorly due to the heterogeneity and the ensuing anisotropy. Moreover the heterogeneity appears to hamper the crystallization within the ribbon interior. Unlike Finemets, the density of these Hitperms show no pronounced trend with annealing.  相似文献

We discuss the electronic properties of non-polar surfaces of MgN rock-salt and zinc-blende crystals. We studied the (001) surface of the rock-salt and the (110) surface of the zinc-blende MgN with the use of an ab initio full-electron linearized augmented plane wave method within density functional theory. The structural parameters of the two surfaces were optimized by relaxing the position of the atoms in the unit cells in the force directions. The results of the calculations indicate that both rock-salt MgN (001) and ZB MgN (110) demonstrate half-metallic properties. The zinc-blende MgN (110) surface is electronically more stable as a half-metal than the rock-salt MgN (001) surface. The magnetic properties of the two systems are tailored mainly by the spin-polarization of electrons of N atoms.  相似文献

Structure and characterization of the sulfur-containing monomers bis[4(2-hydroxy-3-methacryloyloxypropoxy)phenyl]sulfide (S·DM), bis[4(2-hydroxy-3-methacryloyloxypropoxy)phenyl]sulfinyl (SO·DM), bis[4(2-hydroxy-3-methacryloyloxypropoxy)phenyl]sulfonyl (SO2·DM), and their photopolymerization with N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (NVP) are presented. The monomers were obtained in the reaction of derivatives of aromatic diols with 2-(chloromethyl)oxirane in the two-phase liquid/liquid system, including organic and aqueous phases. Next, esterification of the obtained diglycidyl ether was carried out with the use of methacrylic acid. Photopolymerization of the compositions (S·DM, SO·DM, SO2·DM and NVP) and the initiator (Irgacure 651) was carried out. The influence of oxidation number of sulfur on the properties of the obtained copolymers was studied. The following properties were determined: density, glass transition temperature, Young’s modulus, hardness and tensile strength. Additionally, dynamic-mechanical and thermal properties were investigated. Thermal properties of copolymers under different conditions (in air, in nitrogen and in helium) were tested.  相似文献

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection and the chronic use of combined antiretroviral therapy (cART) may affect the occurrence of certain disturbances in the body. There is growing interest in sirtuins–enzymes involved in the regulation of many metabolic processes in the organism and in the pathogenesis of many diseases which also exhibit potential antiviral activity. The aim of the study was to investigate the connection of cART to the expression of Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1), Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) and Sirtuin 6 (SIRT6) in HIV-infected men. The plasma levels of sirtuins were measured before and one year after cART, and related to HIV viral load, lymphocytes T CD4+ and CD8+ count as well as the applied cART. The levels of sirtuins in plasma were measured in HIV-infected patients (n = 53) and the control group (n = 35) by immunoassay methods. There were statistically significant (p < 0.05) differences between SIRT6 in the HIV-infected patients before therapy and in the subgroups, depending on the count of lymphocytes T CD8+. There were significant differences in the levels of SIRT1 depending on the applied treatment regimen. The obtained results indicate the most significant changes in the expression of SIRT6 in the course of HIV infection and suggest an influence of the type of cART on the level of SIRT1, which indicates its important role in the course of HIV.  相似文献
