Extraction of the resonance parameters at finite times

In this paper we propose a model-independent method to extract the resonance parameters on the lattice directly from the Euclidean 2-point correlation functions of the field operators at finite times. The method is tested in case of the two-point function of the Δ-resonance, calculated at one loop in Small Scale Expansion. Further, the method is applied to a 1+1$1+1$-dimensional model with two coupled Ising spins and the results are compared with earlier ones obtained by using Lüscher's approach.     

Conjugate function and the modulus of continuity of k-th order

The estimates of the partial moduli of continuity of k-th order (k≧3) of the conjugate functions of several variables are obtained in the space ?(T ⁿ ). The exactness of these estimates is established by proper examples.     

Generation and cycloaddition of polymer-supported azomethine ylide via a 1,2-silatropic shift of alpha-silylimines: traceless synthesis of pyrrolidine derivatives

The 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of polymer-supported azomethine ylides to dipolarophiles gave pyrrolidine derivatives in good yields. The azomethine ylides were generated from resin-bound alpha-silylimines via a 1,2-silatropic shift. The features of this method are not only a traceless synthesis but also a unique solid-phase route to pyrrolidines with extensive diversity. [reaction: see text]     

Structural, electrical and optical properties of AgInS2 thin films grown by thermal evaporation method

Structural electrical and optical properties of AgInS₂ (AIS) thin films grown by the single-source thermal evaporation method were studied. The X-ray diffraction spectra indicated that the AIS single phase was successful grown by annealing above 400 °C in air. The AIS grain sizes became large with increasing the annealing temperatures. All polycrystalline AIS thin films were sulfur-poor from the electron probe microanalysis and indicated n-type conduction by the Van der Pauw technique. It was deduced that the sulfur vacancies were dominant in the films and enhanced n-type conduction.     

Centralizers of Toeplitz Operators with Polynomial Symbols

In this note we describe centralizers of Toeplitz operators with polynomial symbols on the Bergman space. As a consequence it is shown that if an element of the norm closed algebra generated by all Toeplitz operators commutes with a Toeplitz operator of a nonconstant polynomial, then this element is a Toeplitz operator of a holomorphic function.

With the aid of an in silico method, α-glucosidase inhibitors with far more potent activities than salacinol (1), a potent natural α-glucosidase inhibitor isolated from an Ayurvedic traditional medicine Salacia reticulata, have been developed.     

Antikaon-nucleon scattering lengths

A brief review of the experimental and theoretical attempts to determine $\bar KN$ scattering lengths is given. A proposal is formulated to calculate these (complex) scattering lengths in lattice QCD, using an appropriate modification of Lüscher’s formula.
