We consider a cold gas of non-interacting fermions in a
two-dimensional harmonic trap with two different trapping
frequencies wx\omega_x
≤
wy\omega_y, and discuss the effect of
rotation on the density profile. Depending on the rotation frequency
Ω, and the trap anisotropy wy\omega_y/wx\omega_x, the density
profile assumes two qualitatively different shapes. For small
anisotropy, the density consists of elliptical plateaus of constant
density, corresponding to Landau levels and is well described by a
two-dimensional local density approximation. For large anisotropy,
the density profile is Gaussian in the strong confining direction
and semicircular with prominent Friedel oscillations in the weak
direction. In this regime, a one-dimensional local density
approximation is well suited to describe the system. The crossover
between the two regimes is smooth where the step structure between
the Landau level edges turn into Friedel oscillations. 相似文献

The vacancy transfer probabilities from K to L shell through radiative decay, η
KL, have been deduced for the elements in the range 19 ≤ Z ≤ 58 using K-shell fluorescence yields. The targets were irradiated with γ photons at 59.5 keV from a 75mCi 241Am annular source. The K X-rays from different targets were detected with a high resolution Si(Li) detector. The measurement
of vacancy transfer probabilities are least-squared fitted to second-order polynomials to obtain analytical relations that
represent these probabilities as a function of atomic number. The obtained results agree with theoretical and fitted values. 相似文献

An algorithm is presented that quantitatively accounts for donor–donor energy migration (DDEM) among fluorophore-labeled proteins
forming regular aggregates. The DDEM algorithm is based on Monte Carlo and Brownian dynamics simulations and applies to calculation
of fluorescence depolarisation data, such as the fluorescence anisotropy. Thereby local orientations, as well as reorienting
motions of the fluorescent group are considered in the absence and presence of DDEM and among, in principle, infinitely many
proteins as they form regular aggregates. Here we apply the algorithm for calculating and illustrating the DDEM and the time-resolved
fluorescence anisotropy under static as well as dynamic conditions within helical, linear and circular aggregate structures.
A principal approach of the DDEM algorithm for analysing protein aggregates is also outlined. 相似文献

A series of silsesquioxane nanoparticles containing reactive internal organic functionalities throughout the entire particle body have been synthesized using a surfactant-free method with organosilanes as the sole precursors and a base catalyst. The organic functional groups incorporated are vinyl, allyl, mercapto, cyanoethyl, and cyanopropyl groups. The sizes and morphologies of the particles were characterized using SEM and nitrogen adsorption, while the compositions were confirmed using TGA, FT-IR, solid state NMR, and elemental analysis. The accessibility and reactivity of the functional groups inside the particles were demonstrated by performing bromination and reduction reactions in the interior of the particles. 相似文献

In this paper, we study the curvature properties of a manifold with structure group G2 whose fundamental 3-form is deformed by a Killing vector field of unit length. We obtain some results concerning conditions under which this manifold is flat, Einstein, or isometric to the unit sphere. 相似文献

It has been shown that for each Killing–Yano (KY)-form accepted by an n-dimensional (pseudo)Riemannian manifold of arbitrary signature, two different gravitational currents can be defined. Conservation
of the currents are explicitly proved by showing co-exactness of the one and co-closedness of the other. Some general geometrical
facts implied by these conservation laws are also elucidated. In particular, the conservation of the one-form currents implies
that the scalar curvature of the manifold is a flow invariant for all of its Killing vector fields. It also directly follows
that, while all KY-forms and their Hodge duals on a constant curvature manifold are the eigenforms of the Laplace–Beltrami
operator, for an Einstein manifold this is certain only for KY 1-forms, (n − 1)-forms and their Hodge duals. 相似文献

α-Tocopherol and β-carotene are the best known and most widely used natural antioxidant substances. Apricot contains β-carotene, tocopherols and flavonoids. This experimental study was designed to investigate the protective effect of Malatya kabashi apricot in stress-induced injury in various tissues of rats. In total, 32 male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups: control, apricot, stress and apricot-stress groups. Apricot was administrated to rats by gavage for 10 days in the apricot and apricot-stress groups. Then rats were kept at 4°C for 4?h in stress and apricot-stress groups. The rats were killed at the end of the experiment for biochemical and histological examinations. This study shows apricot supplementation decreased oxidative stress injury in both the stomach and intestine. 相似文献
