We study the existence and stability of solitons forming in PT–symmetric optical lattices with spatially periodic modulation of the local strength of the nonlinear media. We found that the spatial modulation of the nonlinearity significantly affects the stability of solitons in PT–symmetric optical lattices. With the decrease of the strength of nonlinear refractive index modulation, the soliton's stability domain increases, whereas with the increase of the period of nonlinear refractive index modulation, the corresponding soliton's stability range narrows. In addition, we also investigate the influence of variation of the amplitude of the linear PT–symmetric lattice potential on soliton dynamics, in the presence of spatially periodic modulation of nonlinearity. 相似文献

Chrysotile nanotubes (ChNTs) were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. These synthetic nanotubes crystallographically and morphologically mimic the nanofibrils of natural white asbestos but they are considerably shorter. ChNTs containing polyimide nanocomposites were prepared by a solution mixing/casting method. Oxygen and water vapor barrier of the nanocomposite films were tested and related to the amount, dispersion, and orientation of the nanotubes. The dispersion and orientation of the nanotubes were examined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The nanotubes were nanodispersed and oriented in the plane of the film in the nanocomposites with up to 4.5% (vol/vol) of ChNTs leading to a gradual increase of the gas barrier. The lowest gas permeability was 60% smaller than that for the pristine polyimide film. However, with the onset of nanotube micro aggregation at larger ChNTs loadings the nanotube dispersion and orientation were compromised and oxygen barrier was reduced. We derived the theoretical results of soliton interactions in optical fiber with super-Gaussian slidingfrequency filters. The results demonstrate that the interactions between optical fiber solitons can be effectively suppressed by super-Gaussian sliding-frequency filters. And the results also show that the super-Gaussian filter with sliding is more effective in suppressing soliton interactions than that without sliding. 相似文献

Latex particles are general samples used for electron holography. Electrostatic field outside charged latex particles has been investigated. The observation of electrostatic microfield inside charged latex particles (0.31 μm) is reported. Digital reconstruction is employed to decode the electron image holograms.
