Meccanica - This study is an attempt towards a better understanding of the length scale effects on the bending response of the granular beams. To this aim, a unidimensional discrete granular chain...  相似文献

Background

Bone marrow stromal cells and radial glia are two stem cell types with neural phenotypic plasticity. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells can differentiate into osteocytes, chondrocytes and adipocytes, but can also differentiate into non-mesenchymal cell, i.e. neural cells in appropriate in vivo and in vitro experimental conditions. Likewise, radial glial cells are the progenitors of many neurons in the developing cortex, but can also generate astrocytes. Both cell types express nestin, an intermediate filament protein which is the hallmark of neural precursors.  相似文献

Solvent-free synthesis of well-defined poly[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate] (PDMAEMA) (co)polymers was performed by atom transfer radical polymerization conducted under very mild conditions (in bulk at 25 degrees C). The pH-dependence and the thermo-responsive behaviour of PDMAEMA in aqueous solution were operated to isolate and purify the (co)polymers without using any organic solvent or further catalyst extraction. The viscosity in aqueous solution of so-purified PDMAEMA homopolymers and their block copolymers with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) was studied as a function of molar mass and concentration and a typical polyelectrolyte behaviour was observed, these catalyst-deprived polycations are able to form stable and non toxic complexes with DNA, showing good transfection efficacies in gene therapy.  相似文献

In 1835 Joseph Plateau (1801?C1883) was appointed Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Ghent University, Belgium. By then he was well known for his groundbreaking work on the aftereffect of light on the human retina, and he would go on to become the first person to produce moving images, for which he is considered to be the Father of Film. His greatest scientific achievement, however, was his discovery of surface tension.  相似文献
