Two different sets of collective-coordinate equations for solitary solutions of nonlinear Klein–Gordon (NKG) model are introduced. The collective-coordinate equations are derived using different approaches for adding the inhomogeneities as external potentials to the soliton equation of motion. The interaction of the NKG field with a local inhomogeneity like a delta function potential wall or a delta-function potential well is investigated using the presented collective-coordinate equations, and the results of the two different models are compared. Most of the characters of the interaction are derived analytically. The analytical results are also compared to the results of numerical simulations.  相似文献

The COVID-19 pandemic shows to have a huge impact on people's health and countries' infrastructures around the globe. Iran was one of the first countries that experienced the vast prevalence of the coronavirus outbreak. The Iranian authorities applied various non-pharmaceutical interventions to eradicate the epidemic in different periods. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of non-pharmaceutical interventions in managing the current Coronavirus pandemic and to predict the next wave of infection in Iran. To achieve the research objective, the number of cases and deaths before and after the interventions was studied and the effective reproduction number of the infection was analyzed under various scenarios. The SEIR generic model was applied to capture the dynamic of the pandemic in Iran. To capture the effects of different interventions, the corresponding reproduction number was considered. Depending on how people are responsive to interventions, the effectiveness of each intervention has been investigated. Results show that the maximum number of the total of infected individuals will occur around the end of May and the start of June 2021. It is concluded that the outbreak could be smoothed if full lockdown and strict quarantine continue. The proposed modeling could be used as an assessment tool to evaluate the effects of different interventions in new outbreaks.

A techno-economic assessment of an upgrading procedure and outtake of a pre-hydrolysate in a presumed dissolving pulp mill was performed. Pre-hydrolysis of spruce wood chips in pilot scale produced input data for energy and mass balances and was performed with and without subsequent membrane filtration to produce hydrolysate fractions rich in galactoglucomannan and with some lignin. The hydrolysate is a viable raw material for the production of renewable thin oxygen barrier films as demonstrated herein in the formulation of free standing films with very low oxygen permeability at both moderate and high relative humidities. Approximately 50,000 ton dry solid upgraded pre-hydrolysate suitable for production of oxygen barriers could be produced according to the presumed dissolving pulp mill producing about 500,000 air dry ton dissolving pulp per year and applying a liquor to wood ratio of 4:1. Utilization of the pre-hydrolysis liquor hence adds value to and realizes the dissolving plant as a biorefinery. A sensitivity analysis indicates that the market price of the upgraded pre-hydrolysate has the largest positive effect on the return on investment for separation and upgrading of a pre-hydrolysate. Increased investment cost and increased annuity factor show negative effects.  相似文献

We study the scattering of kink and antikink of the double sine-Gordon model. There is a critical value of the initial velocity \(v_{{\mathrm {cr}}}\) of the colliding kinks, which separates different regimes of the collision. At \(v_{\mathrm {in}}>v_{\mathrm {cr}}\) we observe kinks reflection, while at \(v_{\mathrm {in}}<v_{\mathrm {cr}}\) their interaction is complicated with capture and escape windows. We obtain the dependence of \(v_{\mathrm {cr}}\) on the parameter of the model. This dependence possesses a series of local maxima, which has not been reported by other authors. At some initial velocities below the critical value we observe a new phenomenon – the escape of two oscillons in the final state. Besides that, at \(v_{\mathrm {in}}<v_{\mathrm {cr}}\) we found the initial kinks’ velocities at which the oscillons do not escape, and the final configuration looks like a bound state of two oscillons.  相似文献
