The Modeling of Velocity Enhancement in Polymer Flooding   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In single-phase polymer flooding experiments it has repeatedly been observed that the average velocity of the polymer molecules is higher than the average velocity of the water molecules. This effect is incorporated in many conventional Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) simulators by the introduction of a constant velocity enhancement factor. In this paper we show that, in absence of dispersion, a constant enhancement factor in the mathematical model for two-phase polymer flow (Buckley--Leverett displacement) leads to ill-posedness of the model equations. We propose a saturation dependent enhancement factor, derived from a model based on percolation concepts, for which this problem does not occur.  相似文献

Given a set of M × N real numbers, can these always be labeled as xi,j; i = 1,…, M; j = 1,…, N; such that xi+1,j+1 ? xi+1,j ? xi,j+1 + xij ≥ 0, for every (i, j) where 1 ≤ iM ? 1, 1 ≤ jN ? 1? For M = N = 3, or smaller values of M, N it is shown that there is a “uniform” rule. However, for max(M, N) > 3 and min(M, N) ≥ 3, it is proved that no uniform rule can be given. For M = 3, N = 4 a way of labeling is demonstrated. For general M, N the problem is still open although, for a special case where all the numbers are 0's and 1's, a solution is given.  相似文献

We introduce and experimentally demonstrate acousto-optic-assisted diffuse optical tomography (DOT) using a holography-based acousto-optic setup. The method is based on probing a scattering medium with a localized acoustical modulation of the phase of the scattered light. The optical properties of the scattering medium are recovered with ultrasound-limited resolution by applying DOT reconstruction methods on a set of the measured intensities of light, modulated at different locations throughout the medium.  相似文献

We have investigated the possibilities and limitations of the application of ultrasound modulated coherent light to obtain quantitative information of local absorbers in light-scattering objects, among which tissue. For all objects studied, the combined use of microsecond ultrasound and light pulses enabled us to construct a 3D map of local absorbers with a spatial resolution of ∼2 mm. Moreover, in relatively homogeneous model systems, mimicking a blood vessel embedded in tissue, the use of a calibration procedure allowed for a determination of the local absorbance. Speckle decorrelation times for real tissue containing blood vessels, in which appreciable motion of scatterers can exist, were found to be smaller than 1ms. These relatively short times present a major challenge for acousto-optics to be applied in living tissue systems.  相似文献

A damage accumulation model for shear fatigue of asphalt-stone adhesion was developed with the aid of experimental data obtained from monotonic and dynamic force-controlled tests. Constant static- and stress-rate monotonic tests and cyclic fatigue tests were performed on the special designed specimens of double-layered-sandwich using dynamic thermal mechanics analyzer. Experimental results showed that it was feasible to describe monotonic and cyclic tests of stress-controlled mode using one single damage accumulation model based on stress–time path, which makes it possible to reduce the number of specimens tested and time-consuming fatigue tests are no longer necessary, since the same information can be obtained from monotonic test data without loss of accuracy. It also found that the bonding fracture in shear mainly attributes to cohesive failure through binder interlayer due to extensive creep deformation.  相似文献

Analytical solutions are derived for one-dimensional consolidation, free swelling and electrical loading of a saturated charged porous medium. The governing equations describe infinitesimal deformations of linear elastic isotropic charged porous media saturated with a mono-valent ionic solution. From the governing equations a coupled diffusion equation in state space notation is derived for the electro-chemical potentials, which is decoupled introducing a set of normal parameters, being a linear combination of the eigenvectors of the diffusivity matrix. The magnitude of the eigenvalues of the diffusivity matrix correspond to the time scales for Darcy flow, diffusion of ionic constituents and diffusion of electrical potential.  相似文献

The proliferation of increasingly more sophisticated analytical separation systems, often incorporating increasingly more powerful detection techniques, such as high‐resolution mass spectrometry, causes an urgent need for highly efficient data‐analysis and optimization strategies. This is especially true for comprehensive two‐dimensional chromatography applied to the separation of very complex samples. In this contribution, the requirement for chemometric tools is explained and the latest developments in approaches for (pre‐)processing and analyzing data arising from one‐ and two‐dimensional chromatography systems are reviewed. The final part of this review focuses on the application of chemometrics for method development and optimization.  相似文献

For a two-dimensional fluid in a square domain with no-slip walls, new direct numerical simulations reveal that the transition from steady to chaotic flow occurs through a sequence of various periodic and quasiperiodic flows, similar to the well-known Ruelle-Takens-Newhouse scenario. For all solutions beyond the ground state, the phenomenology is dominated by a domain-filling circulation cell, whereas the associated symmetry is reduced from the full symmetry group of the square to rotational symmetry over an angle pi. The results complement both laboratory experiments in containers with rigid walls and numerical simulations on double-periodic domains.  相似文献
