The tris-methylene bridged compound (NO)4Fe2Se(μ-CH2)3 has been isolated. It has been characterised by IR and 1H, 13C, and 77Se NMR spectroscopy. Its structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The structure consists of a heavy atom triangle consisting of one Se and two Fe atoms. The Fe-Fe and the two Fe-Se edges are bridged by methylene groups.  相似文献

The rate of electron transfer from organic sulfides to [CrV(ehba)2] (ehba-2-ethyl-2-hydroxy butyric acid) decreases with a decrease in the polarity of the medium. The anionic surfactant, SDS and the cationic surfactant, CTAB have different effects on the kinetics of this reaction. The micellar inhibition observed in the presence of SDS is probably due to the decrease in the polarity and the electrostatic repulsion faced by the anionic oxidant from the anionic micelle and the partition of the hydrophobic substrate between the aqueous and micellar phases. The micellar catalysis in the presence of CTAB is attributed to the increase in the concentration of both reactants in the micellar phase. This micellar catalysis is observed to offset the retarding effects of the less polar micellar medium and the unfavorable charge-charge interaction between the + charge developed on S center in the transition state and the cationic micelle. This catalysis is contrary to the enormous micellar inhibition observed with IO4, HSO5 and HCO4 oxidation of organic sulfides.  相似文献

The present study pertained to biosynthesis, characterization and biomedical application (larvicidal, histopathology, antibacterial, antioxidant and anticancer activity) of Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) from Pleurotus djamor. The synthesized NPs were characterized using spectral and microscopic analyses and further confirmed by UV–Visible spectrophotometer with apeak of 350 nm. The ZnONPs showed strong antioxidant property (DPPH, H2O2 and ABTS+ radical assay) and expressed good larval toxicity against Ae. aegypti and Cx. quinquefasciatus (IVth instar larvae) with the least LC50 and LC90 values (10.1, 25.6 and 14.4, 31.7 mg/l) after 24 h treatment, respectively. We noticed the morphological changes (damaged anal papillae area and the cuticle layers) in the treated larvae. For the antibacterial assay, the highest growth inhibition zone was recorded in C. diphteriae (28.6?±?0.3 mm), followed by P. fluorescens (27?±?0.5 mm) and S. aureus (26.6?±?1.5 mm). The in vitro cytotoxicity assay depicted a significant level of cytotoxic effects (LC50 values 42.26 μg/ml) of ZnONPs against the A549 lung cancer cells, even at low dose. The overall findings of the study suggest that P. djamor had the ability for the biosynthesis of ZnONPs and could act as an alternative biomedical agent for future therapeutic applications in medical avenues.

A new series of hexa‐coordinated stable Ru(III) Schiff base complexes of the type [RuX(EPh3)(L)] (where X = Cl/Br; E = P/As; L = tetradentate N2O2 donor Schiff ligands) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurement, FT‐IR, UV–vis, 13C{1H}‐NMR, ESR spectra, electrochemical and powder X‐ray diffraction pattern studies. The selective oxidation of alcohols to their corresponding carbonyl compounds occurred in the presence of N‐methylmorpholin‐N‐oxide (NMO), H2O2 and O2 atmosphere at ambient temperature as co‐oxidants and C? C coupling reactions. Further, these new Schiff base ligands and their Ru(III) complexes were also screened for their antibacterial activity against K. pneumoniae, Shigella sp., M. luteus, E. coli and S. typhi. Four tridentate O, N, O donor Schiff base ligands were prepared by the reaction of substituted benzhydrazide and appropriate salicylaldehyde. The complexes of these ligands were synthesized by refluxing the ligands with ruthenium(II) starting complexes of the formula [RuHCl(CO)(EPh3)2B] in benzene, where E = P or As; B = PPh3 or AsPh3 or pyridine. The newly synthesized complexes were characterized by elemental, spectral (FT‐IR, UV and NMR) and electrochemical data. On the basis of the above studies, an octahedral structure has been proposed for all the complexes. The catalytic efficiency of the complexes in aryl–aryl couplings and oxidation of alcohols was examined and their inhibition activity against the growth of the micro‐organisms was also examined. One of the most important and distinguishing features of multimedia applications is the integration of multiple media streams that have to be presented in a synchronized fashion. In this paper, a queueing system with a special service mechanism arising in multimedia synchronization is considered. The system is characterized by arrival of two types of customers (media streams), and servicing of customers (processing of packets) in pairs with one customer from each type for a pair. The exact transient system size probabilities are obtained as the stationary solutions do not exist for this system and these are illustrated numerically. The density function of the first return to the origin for the queueing system is also obtained.  相似文献
