We investigate the role of the t-channel meson exchange in various photoproduction processes to discuss features of the respective production mechanism. For the less model-dependent analysis we work with the t-channel meson pole reggeized in the Born approximation amplitude. With the meson–baryon coupling constants chosen consistently with symmetry prediction we show that the Reggeized pole model could reproduce the experimental data to a good degree in the lower energy region. Numerical consequences show the significance of the tensor meson exchange in the γ pK +Λ, the dominance of the pseudoscalar meson exchange in the πΔ (and KΣ*) processes, and the sizable role of the vector-meson magnetic moment in the charged ρ (and K*) photoproductions, respectively. These new features from the present analyses could provide a useful guide for future study of the N* resonances in the low energy region.  相似文献

Summary LetF be a field of characteristic ≠2, and let ϱ be an anisotropic conic overF. Anisotropic quadratic forms φ overF which become isotropic over the function fieldF(ϱ), but which do not contain proper subforms becoming isotropic, are calledF(ϱ)-minimal forms. It is investigated how upper bounds for the dimension ofF(ϱ)-minimal forms depend on certain properties and invariants of the fieldF. Let F be a non-formally real field of characteristic not 2 and let W(F) be the Witt ring of F. In certain cases generators for the annihilator ideal are determined. Aim the primary decomposition of A(F) is given. In [7], the level and sublevel of composition algebras are studied, wherein these quantities are determined for those algebras defined over local fields. In this paper, the level and sublevel of composition algebras, of dimension 4 and 8 over rational function fields over local non-dyadic fields, are determined completely in terms of the local ramification data of the algebras. The proofs are based on the “classification” of quadratic forms over such fields, as is given in [8]. Hydraulics of Peat Filters Treating Septic Tank Effluent   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Peat is an alternative filter medium for the treatment of various waste streams including septic tank effluent. The water holding capacity and adsorption capacity of peat make it a favorable filter medium over sand or gravel which are commonly used as the filter medium for the drainage field of septic systems. This paper presents the results of a field study to evaluate the hydraulics of a peat filter used to treat the septic tank effluent from a public school west of Ottawa, Canada. An experimental box was placed within the filter during its construction to provide access to the vertical profile of the peat layer. The filter is periodically pulsed with septic tank effluent, which is distributed over the top of the filter and flows vertically through the peat. The filter was instrumented with tensiometers and transducers to monitor the pore water pressures in response to a pulse of septic tank effluent. An in-depth study of the hydraulics of the system was completed. The soil moisture retention curve and the hydraulic conductivity as a function of density were determined in laboratory experiments. A one-dimensional unsaturated flow model was used to predict the pressure response due to a pulse. A comparison of the field and model results illustrates the impact of the density variations, and the corresponding hydraulic conductivity variations, on the model predictions. The compaction of the peat is an important design consideration for the filter since it directly impacts the flow characteristics and the hydraulic retention time within the filter.  相似文献
