The improper handling and disposal of hazardous wastes cause threats to human health and the environment. One reason for the improper handling and disposal of these wastes is that not much consideration is usually given to the logistical aspects of hazardous waste systems. In this paper an integer goal programming model is developed that takes into consideration the multiple goals and needs of many groups involved in managing and planning hazardous waste systems. The model can easily be implemented and can be used to address many of the issues related to facility location, recycling, treatment, and disposal of hazardous wastes. 相似文献

Ab initio calculations using the MP2/cc-pVTZ basis set do an excellent job of predicting the inversion barrier (247 vs. 232 cm−1) and dihedral angle (26°) of cyclopentene. DFT calculations also do an excellent job of predicting the vibrational frequencies of the d0, d1, d4, and d8 isotopomers. Hydrogen-bonded polar nematic liquid crystal series with the general formula nOBAF (n = 7—12) is studied. The mesomorphic characterization is demonstrated through differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarized optical microscopy (POM). The complexes with short alkyl chains (n=7, 8) present a wide nematic range and monotropic smectic F mesophase, whereas the longer alkyl chain (n=10—12) analogues show high melting and low clearing mesomorphic liquid crystals. The thermal range of the mesophase and the birefringence increase with chain length decreasing. Furthermore, the effect of the nanoparticles (LiNbO3) on the thermal and the electrical behavior of 8OBAF are investigated. The presence of LiNbO3 nanoparticles increases the conductivity and reduces the resistivity of the complex. 相似文献

In this paper, the homotopy analysis method is applied to solve linear and nonlinear fractional initial-value problems (fIVPs). The fractional derivatives are described by Caputo’s sense. We demonstrate that low-pressure glow discharges in He–O2 gas mixture are effective in removing carbonaceous surface layers from coked catalysts. These discharges contain a number
of reactive species including O, O3, and O2*, and all these could contribute in the decoking process. However, an evolving understanding is that the O atoms in the discharge
have a predominant role in this. A working hypothesis is that the O atoms react with the coke to form CO, CO2 and other carbon complexes. Online measurements using emission spectra from O, H, and CO in the discharges are compared for
the cases of He–O2 and Ar–O2 gas mixtures. Under the reported experimental conditions the estimated reactivity of the He–O2 discharges is considerably higher compared with discharges in the Ar–O2 gas mixture.
