The unit cell parameters a, b, and c of [N(CH3)4]2ZnCl4 have been measured by x-ray diffraction in the temperature range 80–293 K. Temperature dependences of the thermal expansion coefficients αa, αb, and αc along the principal crystallographic axes and of the unit cell thermal expansion coefficient αV were determined. It is shown that the a=f(T), b=f(T), and c=f(T) curves exhibit anomalies in the form of jumps at phase transition temperatures T1=161 K and T2=181 K and that the phase transition occurring at T3=276 K manifests itself in the a=f(T) and b=f(T) curves as a break. A slight anisotropy in the coefficient of thermal expansion of the crystal was revealed. The phase transitions occurring at T1=161 K and T2=181 K in [N(CH3)4]2ZnCl4 were established to be first-order.  相似文献

The specific heat of [NH2(CH3)2]2ZnCl4 was measured calorimetrically in the temperature region 80–300 K. As the temperature T decreases, the C p (T) dependence indicates a phase transition sequence, with the phase transition at T6=151 K observed for the first time. The thermodynamic characteristics of the crystal were refined. The transformation occurring at T2=298.3 K is shown to be an incommensurate-commensurate phase transition.  相似文献

The specific heat of crystalline [NH2(CH3)2]2 · CuCl4 in the ferroelectric phase, both nonirradiated and irradiated by electrons, was measured calorimetrically. The temperature region of existence of the ferroelectric phase was shown to broaden under electron irradiation. The existence of an incommensurate phase above the Curie point T c1 in the crystal was confirmed. The phase-transition sequence observed in [NH2(CH3)2]2 · CuCl4 is shown to be described by a phenomenological model for A 2 BX 4-type ferroelectrics with an organic cation.  相似文献

Heat capacity of Rb2ZnBr4 as a function of γ irradiation dose has been measured within the 85–300 K range by the adiabatic calorimeter technique. It is shown that, as the irradiation dose increases, the heat capacity peak in the vicinity of the incommensurate-commensurate first-order phase transition (PT) decreases, and the transition temperature T c increases. The heat capacity peak in the region of the second-order PT at T 3=112 K does not depend on γ irradiation, both in magnitude and in position, just as the heat capacity throughout the remainder of the temperature range studied. Crystallographic parameters of TlInS x Se2 ? x solid solutions have been measured by X-ray diffraction. Dependences of the unit-cell parameters on the composition are determined. It is established that the values of parameters a, b, and c and the angle β decrease with an increase in x. It is shown that the TlInS x Se2 ? x system includes a continuous series of solid solutions based on the TlInSe2 compound with tetragonal symmetry at x values ≤ 0.4, while at x ≥ 0.6 solid solutions based on the TlInS2 compound with a monoclinic structure are formed.  相似文献

The heat capacity of [NH2(CH3)2]2 · CuCl4 crystals prior to and after γ-irradiation with doses of 1, 5, 10, and 50 MR is measured by the calorimetric method in the temperature range 80–300 K. It is found that, as the temperature decreases, the temperature dependence C p (T) exhibits two anomalies which correspond to phase transitions from the incommensurate to the ferroelectric phase at T c =281 K and from the ferroelectric to the ferroelastic phase at T 1=255 K. The nature of the anomalies is typical of a first-order phase transition. In addition, a smeared anomaly in the form of a small increase in the heat capacity of the ferroelectric phase is observed at T≈275 K. It is demonstrated that when the dose of γ-irradiation increases, the anomalies decrease in magnitude and the phase transition temperatures are displaced: T c increases and T 1 decreases.  相似文献

The crystallographic and dynamic characteristics of TlInSe2 and TlGaTe2 crystals have been studied by X-ray diffraction in the temperature range of 85–320 K. The temperature dependences of the unit-cell parameters a of TlInSe2 and TlGaTe2 crystals, as well as their coefficients of thermal expansion along the [100] direction, are determined. The concentration dependences of the unit-cell parameters a and c for (TlInSe2)1 − x (TlGaTe2) x crystals are measured. Anomalies are found in the temperature dependences of the unit-cell parameters a and, correspondingly, the coefficient of thermal expansion, indicating the existence of phase transitions in TlInSe2 and TlGaTe2 crystals.  相似文献
