A model to facilitate the computation of the most stable conformer of associated M · H2O (M being a polar molecule) which depends upon the electrostatic interaction energy between the two associated molecules is proposed and tested. SCF electrostatic potentials for the M molecule and a suitable point charge distribution for H2O were employed in the model computations. Energies predicted by the model are found to be in good agreement with those resulting from an ab initio minimal STO basis SCF treatment of some conformations of the H2O dimer.

Zusammenfassung Ein Modell zur Durchführung der Berechnung des stabilsten Konformeren eines Assoziationskomplexes M · H2O, wobei M ein polares Molekül ist, wird vorgeschlagen und untersucht. Es basiert auf der elektrostatischen Wechselwirkung zwischen beiden Partnern, und zwar wird für das Molekül M der elektrostatische Anteil seines SCF-Potentials und für H2O eine angemessene Punktladungsverteilung zugrunde gelegt. Die resultierenden Energien sind in guter Übereinstimmung mit denen, die sich bei einer ab initio Rechnung mit minimaler STO Basis ergeben.

Reductive electrocrystallization at a constant current density (11.0–11.5 μA/cm2) of millimolar solutions of [M(bpy)3](PF6)2, where M = Fe, Ru, or Os, and bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine in acetonitrile containing 0.1M Bu4NPF6 results in the formation of dark crystals on the Pt cathode. The crystals grow as long, thin, and shiny needles having a hexagonal cross section of 0.1–0.5 mm in diameter. Combustion microanalyses results are consistent with the composition for [Fe(bpy)3], [Ru(bpy)3], and [Os(bpy)3]. In addition, the chromophores are conserved, as confirmed by recording both the electronic and the 1H-NMR spectra after reoxidation of the electrocrystals in humid air. The spectra are identical to those for authentic samples of [Fe(bpy)3]2+, [Ru(bpy)3]2+, and [Os(bpy)3]2+. A ratio of 2.0 ± 0.1 e?/molecule is observed upon completion of the controlled potential electrolysis of a solution of [M(bpy)3]2+, which results in the precipitation of a dark solid and the almost complete fading of the color of the original solution. Unexpectedly, the crystals do not exhibit an ESR signal. These data indicate the formation of novel materials, crystalline [Fe(bpy)3], [Ru(bpy)3], and [Os(bpy)3]. 相似文献

Two series of 5-[[4-[4-(dialkylamino)butyl]-l-cyclohexyl]acetyl], and 5-[(dialkylamino)acyl]-10,11-dihydro-5H- dibenzo[b,e][1,4]diazepin-11-ones were synthesized as potential m2-selective ligands 1,2. Their affinity and selectivity for the muscarinic cholinergic receptor m-AChR subtypes were determined. Replacing a nitrogen with CH in the piperidine ring of 5-[[4-[4-(dialkylamino)butyl]-l-piperidinyl]acetyl]-10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo-[b,e][1,4]diazepin-11-ones 3 significantly altered the affinity and selectivity to the muscarinic receptor subtypes. 相似文献

A method for getting approximate but realistic evaluations of the electrostatic molecular potential for benzene derivatives is presented and discussed. The method is based on a partition of the whole molecular observable into directly transferable contributions, which can be calculated without a previous knowledge of the molecular wavefunction. The semiclassical models considered here are composed by charge distributions coming from ab initio quantum-mechanical calculations on actual molecular systems. These charge distributions interact with one another according to the laws of classical electrostatics. This article describes some results of a systematic examination of the performances of this model in a variety of cases, with the aim of putting in evidence the usefulness and the limits of this inherently approximate representation of chemical interactions. Intermolecular interactions are examined first; the test cases are interactions of neutral molecules with H+, Li+, and C1?, and the formation of H-bonded complexes. Attention is paid mainly to the energetics of the processes; each interacting molecule is considered as a unique entity and classical molecular reactivity indexes (electrostatic potential V, polarization term P) are introduced to compute the interaction energy, to interpret the details of the interaction process, and then to elaborate on less expensive computational procedures. Intramolecular interactions are considered. Attention is paid to the question of defining chemical groups starting from SCF molecular wavefunctions. The transferability and conservation degree of groups derived from localized orbitals of actual molecules is examined in detail, taking as tests their ability to reproduce charge distribution, one-electron observables, and energy. The effect of classical fields on these groups is then examined, taking into consideration external fields originated either by a point charge or by a solvent, and internal fields deriving from substitution of chemical groups. The intergroup analysis is then extended to the case of bimolecular reaction acts by considering the whole system as a supermolecule. Approximate computational procedures able to reproduce the main features of these interactions are proposed and tested. The addition of 4 equiv of LiN=C-t-Bu(2) to CrCl(3), MoCl(5), and WCl(6) in diethyl ether produced the complexes M(N=C-t-Bu(2))(4) (M = Cr, Mo, W). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed that the molecules have flattened tetrahedral geometries with virtual D(2d) symmetry in the solid state. (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra indicated that the complexes are diamagnetic, and a qualitative MO analysis showed that the orthogonal π-donor and -acceptor orbitals of the ketimide ligand cooperatively split the d(xy) and d(z2) orbitals sufficiently to allow spin pairing in the d(xy) orbital. A more sophisticated quantum-mechanical analysis of Cr(N=C-t-Bu(2))(4) using density functional/molecular mechanics methods confirmed the qualitative analysis by showing that the singlet state is 27 kcal/mol more stable than the triplet state. 相似文献

The C.I. method is applied to already published double- SCF wave functions for OF2, NO
2

and CN–. All doubly excited configurations are considered. The second order approximation values presented for those cases are compared with the exact energy values in some minor cases. An attempt has been made to improve the rate of convergency of the process by transforming the canonical SCF occupied orbitals into localized ones and the virtual canonical orbitals into a particular type of localized orbitals. These latter show also an intuitively acceptable spatial conformation.

Zusammenfassung Die CI Methode wird auf bereits bekannte Doppel-Zeta-SCF-Wellenfuntionen für die Systeme OF2, NO 2 – und CN– angewandt. Dabei werden alle doppelt angeregten Konfigurationen berücksichtigt. Um die Konvergenz zu verbessern, werden versuchsweise die kanonischen und besetzten SCF-Orbitale in lokalisierte Orbitale und die virtuellen kanonischen Orbitale in einen besonderen Typ von lokalisierten Orbitalen transformiert. Die letzteren zeigen eine besonders geeignete räumliche Anpassung.
Résumé Pour un calcul de intéraction de configurations, comprenant toutes le configurations à double excitation, on a employé des fonctions d'onde SCF sur une base doublée. Pour le calcul complet on a essayé des formules d'approximation, qu'on a pu vérifier avec le calcul exact sur des cas réduits.Pour améliorer la vélocité de convergence du procés on a transformé les orbitales canoniques SCF en orbitales localisées et aprés on a construit, selon un procedé particulier, des orbitales virtuelles localisées qui montrent une conformation dans l'espace qui est intuitivement satisfaisante.

By studying: 1/the role of dislocations in the origin of the C-ITC-peak in undeformed crystals, 2/ the effect of plastic deformation upon the behaviour of this peak, and 3/ the recovery of the deformation-induced changes of the basic characteristics of this peak (HC, TMC) it has been confirmed that dislocation lines surrounded by the Cottrell-like atmospheres can be considered as polarizable entities related with the high-temperature dielectrical response of as cleaved NaCl and KCl crystals doped with divalent impurities. The Maxwell/Wagner model of polarization effects in heterogeneous dielectrics satisfactory accounts for the majority of the experimental data. The quantitative analysis of the results obtained yields some additional informations concerning the interaction- and motion-parameters of the defects considered. 相似文献
