The magnitudes of the temperature hysteresis and diffuse dielectric anomaly corresponding to the transition from the antiferroelectric phase to the ferroelectric phase in PbZr1 ? x TixO3 (0.03 ≤ x ≤ 0.05) ceramics can be reversibly changed by varying the temperatures of heating and cooling in the course of thermocycling. The results obtained indicate that the antiferroelectric-ferroelectric transition in the PbZr1 ? x TixO3 ceramics materials is a smeared first-order phase transition.  相似文献

The dielectric properties of a ceramic and a single crystal of the same composition 0.9NaNbO3-0.1Gd1/3NbO3 (NNG10) with different prehistories of the material are investigated in the low-and infralow-frequency ranges. It is revealed that the dielectric aging of the material based on the NaNbO3 antiferroelectric with a smeared phase transition differs in character from similar phenomena observed in relaxor ferroelectrics.  相似文献

The Curie-Weiss temperatures T CW of NaNbO3 and AgNbO3 are determined for the first time by extrapolating the temperature dependence of the reciprocal permittivity from the cubic phase. It is established that the values of T CW of ANbO3 perovskites (A = Na, Ag, K) are practically equal, i.e., that the cubic phases of all the compounds are potentially unstable to an almost equal extent with respect to polarization. From an analysis of the EXAFS spectra of the NaNbO3 and KNbO3 cubic phases, it follows that the potential-energy surfaces of the Nb cation in both compounds are similar and exhibit eight minima shifted by 0.16 and 0.19 Å, respectively, from the oxygen-octahedron center along the [111]-type directions. Based on these facts, it is inferred that the ANbO3 instability with respect to the occurrence of polarization is due to the tendency of the Nb cations to be ordered over the eight minima and that the phase transitions induced by this instability are of the order-disorder type. A statistical model capable of describing the sequence of ferroelectric phase transitions occurring in KNbO3 and in (Ba, Sr)TiO3 is proposed and studied.  相似文献

The effect of a bias field E on the value and temperature dependence of permittivity ɛ of ceramic samples of solid solutions 0.6NaNbO3-0.4 NaTaO3 (I), and 0.97[0.9NaNbO3-0.1Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3]-0.03LiNbO3 (II) possessing an anomalously large temperature hysteresis of ɛ(T) dependence is studied. The character of the dependences of both the height and the temperature of the ɛ(T) maximum on the field show that composition (I) has antiferroelectric properties, while composition (II) has ferroelectric properties. It is found that up to 8 kV/cm, the strength of the bias field has actually no effect on the width of the ɛ(T) temperature hysteresis of the compositions under study.  相似文献

A complete set of dielectric, piezoelectric, and elastic parameters for the textured ceramic material 0.67PMN-0.33PT is calculated by the self-consistency method with due regard for the anisotropy and piezoelectric activity of the medium. It is shown that the best piezoelectric properties corresponding to those of a single crystal are observed for the ceramic material with a texture in which all crystallites are oriented parallel to the [001] direction of the parent perovskite cubic cell. The simplest models of the polarization of an untextured ceramic material with a random initial orientation of crystallites are considered. The results obtained are compared with experimental data.  相似文献

(1−x)NaNbO3-(x)ABO3 perovskite solid solutions belonging to group II according to the Krainik classification [Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Phys. 28 (1964) 643] exhibit a dramatic diffusion of the dielectric permittivity ε′ maximum and relaxor-type behavior when the second component concentration exceeds a threshold value x0. The concentration phase transition to this relaxor-like phase is abrupt (of the first order kind) that is seen from the step in the dependence of the ε′(T) maximum temperature, Tm, on x. Some relaxor-like properties appear even at x<x0 in the course of cooling while disappear during the course of heating. Due to this fact and because of coupling of the antiferroelectric (AFE) and ferroelectric (FE) order parameters a giant (up to 100 K) temperature hysteresis of ε′(T) arises at AFE-AFE first order phase transition. The Tm values of all the known NaNbO3-ABO3 relaxor-type compositions are well below the room temperature and the dielectric permittivity maximal values, εm, are much lower than in the case of Pb-containing relaxors. However both Tm and εm values can be increased substantially by Li or K-doping leading to the formation of NaNbO3-ABO3-LiNbO3 (KNbO3) solid solutions.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the permittivity ? and the false-color image patterns obtained by the rotating polarizer method for single crystals of (1 ? x)NaNbO3?x Gd1/3NbO3 (x = 0.003, 0.090) solid solutions with different degrees of diffuseness of the phase transition are investigated. A multifractal analysis of the false-color images has revealed anomalies in the temperature dependences of the parameter ? of the multifractal spectrum. For a sample with a sharp phase transition (x ≈ 0.003), the temperature of this anomaly is in good agreement with the temperature of the jumps in the permittivity ?(T) and birefringence. For an NNG crystal with x ≈ 0.09, which exhibits a diffuse maximum of ?(T), the temperatures of the anomalies of ?(T) differ in the central and peripheral regions, which correlates with the distribution of Gd over the crystal.  相似文献

It is established that the Curie-Weiss temperature of Na1 − x Li x NbO3 solid solutions determined by extrapolation of linear portions of the temperature dependence of the reciprocal of the permittivity ɛ−1 from the cubic phase sharply increases with x, although the temperature of the ɛ(T) maximum decreases. It is shown in terms of a simple theoretical model that the experimentally observed change in the dielectric properties of Na1 − x Li x NbO3 is well explained under the assumption of formation of a dipole system due to the displacement of Li cations from the center of the cubooctahedral cavity because of the significant steric misfit between the Na and Li cations.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the permittivity, birefringence, optical transmittance, and small-angle light scattering and their variations with time are studied for single crystals of the Pb0.94Ba0.06Sc0.5Nb0.5O3 relaxor (PBSN-6) in the heterophase region of coexistence of different phases. It is shown that an electric field induces a phase transition to the ferroelectric state, which manifests itself within some time (delay time τ) after application of the electric field to the crystal. The observed dependence of the temperature of this transition on the heating rate of the sample and the changes in the birefringence and small-angle light scattering intensity with time confirm the kinetic character of the induced transition. Temperature dependences of the delay time τ for different electric fields are constructed. It is revealed that, at low temperatures, the delay time τ decreases with increasing temperature. This agrees with the behavior of τ in classical relaxors. At the Vogel-Fulcher temperature, however, one observes that dτ/dT reverses sign and τ increasing as the temperature continues to increase. This anomalous behavior of τ in the heterophase region is accounted for by the coexistence of the cubic relaxor and rhombohedral macrodomain phases.  相似文献
