Reaction of sphene with sulfuric acid solutions

The kinetics of titanium(IV) extraction from sphene with boiling 4–6 M sulfuric acid was studied. The rate constants of the sphene dissolution were determined. The influence of the particle size of the starting mineral on the rate of its dissolution was established. The feasibility of performing sphene dissolution by a liquid-phase procedure yielding stable titanium-containing sulfate solutions suitable for the synthesis of multifunctional composite materials was examined.     

Isopropylation of indoline

The composition of the reaction products was ascertained, and the kinetics of the alkylation of indoline with isopropyl alcohol in 90% sulfuric acid at 60C were studied. Peculiarities of discontinuous sequential micro-oxidation of coke on zeolite catalysts

Along with oxidation of hydrogen-containing coke structures, we have observed oxidation of compact accumulations of hydrogen-free coke and as a result we can quantitatively differentiate between outer-surface and intraporous burned coke, and the intraporous coke in turn can be quantitatively distributed over the different elements of the zeolite structures. Moduli of multiply-connected domains on a Riemannian Mobius strip

We investigate the modulus problem for families of curves in multiply-connected nonorientable domains on a Riemannian Mobius strip. We determine the extremal metric and the modulus of a “cross” family of arcs.
