The solubility of fullerene C70 in monocarboxylic acids C n − 1H2n − 1COOH (n = 1–9) over the temperature range 20–80°C

The isothermal (20°C) solubility of fullerene C₇₀ in solvents of the homologous series of monocarboxylic acids C _{n ? 1}H_{2n ? 1}COOH (n = 1–9) and polythermal solubility over the temperature range 20–80°C of fullerene C₇₀ in solvents of the homologous series of monocarboxylic acids C _{n ? 1}H_{2n ? 1}COOH (n = 4–9) were studied. The corresponding solubility diagrams were obtained and characterized.     

Synthesis of bismuth complexes from bismuth iodide and ammonium and phosphonium salts

The complexes [Et₂NH₂] ₃ ⁺ [BiCl₆]^3? (I), [NH₄]⁺[BiI₄(C₅H₅N)₂]^?·2C₅H₅N (II), [Ph₃MeP] ₂ ⁺ [BiI₅]^2? (III), [Ph₃MeP] ₂ ⁺ [BiI₅(C₅H₅N)]^2?·C₅H₅N (IV), [Ph₃MeP] ₃ ⁺ [Bi₃I₁₂]^3? (V), [Ph₃(i-Pr)P] ₃ ⁺ [Bi₃I₁₂]^3?·2Me₂C=O (VI), [Ph₃BuP] ₂ ⁺ [Bi₂I₈·₂Me₂C=O]^2? (VII), and [Ph₃BuP] ₂ ⁺ [Bi₂I₈·2Me₂S=O]^2? (VIII) were obtained by reactions of bismuth iodide with ammonium and phosphonium iodides in acetone, pyridine, or dimethyl sulfoxide.     

Sorption Capacity of Nitrogen-containing Derivatives of Wood for Ions of Various Metals

Sorption capacity of nitrogen-containing derivatives of aspen wood for Fe(III), Cu(II), Cd(II), and Ca(II) ions was studied. The possibility of using the products formed in oxyammonolysis of wood as sorbents of these metals from dilute aqueous solutions was examined.

In this paper we investigate metrics on Lie groups with zero Schouten–Weyl tensor. We obtain a complete classification of metric Lie algebras of such Lie groups.     

Conformally Flat Algebraic Ricci Solitons on Lie Groups

The paper is devoted to the study of conformally flat Lie groups with left-invariant (pseudo) Riemannianmetric of an algebraic Ricci soliton. Previously conformally flat algebraic Ricci solitons on Lie groups have been studied in the case of small dimension and under an additional diagonalizability condition on the Ricci operator. The present paper continues these studies without the additional requirement that the Ricci operator be diagonalizable. It is proved that any nontrivial conformally flat algebraic Ricci soliton on a Lie group must be steady and have Ricci operator of Segrè type {(1... 1 2)} with a unique eigenvalue (equal to 0).     

Simulating the radiation transformations in rocks-potential media for radioactive waste disposal

The impact of high-current pulsed relativistic electron beams on the way craters form in rock samples (granites and labradorite) is studied. The method of thermal-imaging monitoring is tested for quickly estimating the sample surface state and determining the insulating properties of geomaterials. It is shown that such complex experiments are appropriate for investigating rock properties, which are of utmost importance in choosing places for radioactive waste disposal.
