We present the results obtained from systematic studies of positron creation for a series of heavy-collision systems, with united chargeZu=Z1+Z2 ranging fromZu=164 (Pb + Pb) toZu=184 (U+U) at bombarding energies close to the Coulomb barrier, using the Orangeβ-spectrometer at GSI. For each collision system studied, the dominating continuous distributions due to quasiatomic and nuclear positron emission are determined accurately. This is essential in obtaining the characteristics of the still unexplained monoenergetic positron lines which appear in the energy range between 200 keV and 400 keV. Our results are compared with coupled-channels calculations for quasi-atomic positron creation. The latter describe quite well the global features of the measured spectra, but overestimate systematically their absolute values. From the comparison, a common normalization factor of about 0.75 can be established for the calculated spectra. In particular, the dependence onZu of the measured emission probabilities was found to follow a power law (∝Zu195±1), in fair agreement with the theoretical prediction. 相似文献
The thermotropic liquid-crystalline phase behaviour of a homologous set of bis[N-[[4-[4-(alkoxy)benzoyloxy]2-hydroxyphenyl]methylene]alkanamino] copper(II) complexes is examined. New data are reported and taken into account in addition to those previously reported in this Journal. The influence of alkoxy and alkanamine groups on the nature and stability of the mesophase is underlined. As a general trend, with some notable exception, smectic (C type) mesomorphism is favoured by longer alkoxy and alkanamine chains. Data concerning some Pd(II) and Ni(II) homologous complexes are also reported. The mesophase stability (nematic phase) is higher for palladium and nickel complexes than for the copper containing homologues. 相似文献
A highly active thermostable β-glucosidase was purified to homogeneity from a strain ofTrichoderma sp. The enzyme was an extracellular glycoprotein and showed hydrolytic activity toward several β-glucosides.
Cellobiose was found to be the substrate of choice for this enzyme. This finding could suggest future technological applications

A diastereoselective synthesis of the model insect antifeedant 29 a CDE molecular fragment of 12-ketoepoxyazadiradione has been achieved in ten steps from indenone 9 in 44% overall yield. The crystal and molecular structure of thiamine monochloride (C12H17N4OSCl) was determined by X-ray diffraction and refined to a finalR value of 0.042. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space groupP21/a, with cell constantsa=18.929(4),b=11.663(2),c=6.376(2) Å and=96.72(8)°. The thiamine molecule is anhydrous and unprotonated, and the torsion angles at the methylene carbon show that it possesses anF conformation. The dihedral angle value of 84.16(6)° between thiazolium and pyrimidine rings is in the normal range found for the thiamine withF conformation, protonated or not, hydrated or not. Thiamine therefore has the same conformation notwithstanding protonation or hydration, with the rings similarly oriented in all the crystal structures containing thiamine. 相似文献

Antimony(III) can be extracted rapidly and quantitatively into benzene from a 10 M H2SO4–0.03 M HBr system. The extracted antimony bromide has an antimony to bromine ratio of 1:3. Under the above optimum conditions for extraction of antimony, the behaviour of 35 other elements was studied; As3+, Ge4+, Se4+, and Sn2+ were extracted almost quantitatively, and the percentage extraction of Hg2+, Bi3+, and Te4+ was 74.1%, 10% and 5.5% respectively. The extraction of the elements into benzene from a 5 M H2SO4–0.01 M KI system was also investigated, A comparison of the two systems is given. 相似文献
Cancer is one of the most important causes of death worldwide. Solid tumors represent the vast majority of cancers (>90%), and the chemotherapeutic agents used for their treatment are still characterized by variable efficacy and toxicity. Sesquiterpenes are a group of natural compounds that have shown a wide range of biological activities, including cytotoxic and antiparasitic activity, among others. The antiproliferative activity of natural sesquiterpenes, tessaric acid, ilicic acid, and ilicic alcohol and their semisynthetic derivatives against HeLa, T-47D, WiDr, A549, HBL-100, and SW1573 cell lines were evaluated. The effect of the compounds on Trypanosoma cruzi epimastigotes was also assessed. The selectivity index was calculated using murine splenocytes. Derivatives 13 and 15 were the most antiproliferative compounds, with GI50 values ranging between 5.3 (±0.32) and 14 (±0.90) μM, in all cell lines tested. The presence of 1,2,3-triazole groups in derivatives 15–19 led to improvements in activity compared to those corresponding to the starting natural product (3), with GI50 values ranging between 12 (±1.5) and 17 (±1.1) μM and 16 being the most active compound. In relation to the anti-T. cruzi activity, derivatives 7 and 16 obtained from tessaric acid and ilicic acid were among the most active and selective compounds with IC50 values of 9.3 and 8.8 µM (SI = 8.0 and 9.4), respectively. 相似文献
Rosiglitazone (RSG) is marketed as a racemic mixture although the antidiabetic activity is essentially related to the (S)-enantiomer. The chiral center has an adjacent carbonyl group; therefore, the (R)-enantiomer could be transformed to the (S)-enantiomer or vice versa by keto-enolic tautomerism. The literature indicates that this racemization is slow enough to allow the evaluation of the properties of the isolated enantiomers. However, there is no information about the enantioselective kinetic disposition and metabolism of RSG. Additionally, there are no studies on the racemization of its metabolites. Considering these facts, a chiral HPLC method was developed and used for the first time to study the racemization of RSG and its main metabolites. Different conditions, including those used to evaluate the in vitro enantioselective metabolism, were employed. The simultaneous chiral separation of RSG and metabolites was achieved on a Chiralcel OJ-H column by employing methanol/ethanol (90:10, v/v) as mobile phase. The racemization studies showed that the half-life of RSG decreased more than 30 times when the temperature increased from 4 to 37 °C. It was also observed that the half-life of RSG changed from approximately 20 h at pH 3.5 to approximately 2 h at pH 7.4. The same profile was observed for its metabolites. Organic solvents and UV light did not present influence on the racemization process. In addition, a Complete Factorial Design was conducted to evaluate the influence of some parameters that can be changed during an in vitro metabolism study. The results obtained showed that the racemization occurs under in vitro metabolism conditions.
