A tertiary hydroxy group α to a carboxyl moiety comprises a key structural motif in many bioactive substances. With the herein presented metal‐free rearrangement of imides triggered by hypervalent λ3‐iodane, an easy and selective way to gain access to such a compound class, namely α,α‐disubstituted‐α‐hydroxy carboxylamides, was established. Their additional methylene bromide side chain constitutes a useful handle for rapid diversification, as demonstrated by a series of further functionalizations. Moreover, the in situ formation of an iodine(III) species under the reaction conditions was proven. Our findings clearly corroborate that hypervalent λ3‐benziodoxolones are involved in these organocatalytic reactions.  相似文献

Raman chemical imaging provides chemical and spatial information about pharmaceutical drug product. By using resolution methods on acquired spectra, the objective is to calculate pure spectra and distribution maps of image compounds. With multivariate curve resolution-alternating least squares, constraints are used to improve the performance of the resolution and to decrease the ambiguity linked to the final solution. Non negativity and spatial local rank constraints have been identified as the most powerful constraints to be used.  相似文献

In this study, the functional interaction of HPLW peptide with VEGFR2 (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2) was determined by using fast 15N‐edited NMR spectroscopic experiments. To this aim, 15N uniformly labelled HPLW has been added to Porcine Aortic Endothelial Cells. The acquisition of isotope‐edited NMR spectroscopic experiments, including 15N relaxation measurements, allowed a precise characterization of the in‐cell HPLW epitope recognized by VEGFR2.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the analysis of function spaces modeled on Besov spaces and their applications to non-linear partial differential equations, with emphasis on the incompressible, isotropic Navier-Stokes system and semi-linear heat equations. Specifically, we consider the class, introduced by Hideo Kozono and Masao Yamazaki, of Besov spaces based on Morrey spaces, which we call Besov-Morrey or BM spaces. We obtain equivalent representations in terms of the Weierstrass semigroup and wavelets, and various embeddings in classical spaces. We then establish pseudo-differential and para-differential estimates. Our results cover non-regular and exotic symbols. Although the heat semigroup is not strongly continuous on Morrey spaces, we show that its action defines an equivalent norm. In particular, homogeneous BM spaces belong to a larger class constructed by Grzegorz Karch to analyze scaling in parabolic equations. We compare Karch's results with those of Kozono and Yamazaki and generalize them by obtaining short-time existence and uniqueness of solutions for arbitrary data with subcritical regularity. We exploit pseudo-differential calculus to extend the analysis to compact, smooth, boundaryless, Riemannian manifolds. BM spaces are defined by means of partitions of unity and coordinate patches, and intrinsically in terms of functions of the Laplace operator.

Following our continued interest in the production of bioerodible and biodegradable functional polymers for biomedical applications, we synthesized and characterized new unsaturated polyesters. The presence of functional groups in the polymer backbone provided sites for chemical modification, and through a variation in the structure, the physical properties, such as the hydrophilicity and solubility, could be affected. With 1,1-di-n-butyl-stanna-2,7-dioxacyclo-4-heptene as the initiator in the ring-opening polymerization of polyesters, a new set of functionalized polyesters was created. The polymerization of ϵ-caprolactone resulted in poly(ϵ-caprolactone) with a double bond incorporated into the structure. The polymers were obtained in a controlled manner with low molecular dispersities. The double bond was previously incorporated into L -lactide polymers, and the two reactions were compared in this study. The conversion of ϵ-caprolactone, with a degree of polymerization of 50, was completed within 140 min, whereas for L -lactide, only a 45% conversion took place in the same period of time. The dispersities were somewhat higher with ϵ-caprolactone because of the higher reaction rate and, therefore, lower selectivity. The incorporated CC double bond in the polyesters provided a variety of opportunities for further modifications. In this case, the double bond of the L -lactide macromonomers was oxidized into epoxides. Epoxidation was carried out with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid as a chemical reagent. The conversion of the double bonds into epoxides was completed, and the obtained yields were good (>95%). As a result of the mild reaction conditions, the epoxidation of the double bond was carried out quantitatively without any side reactions. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
