GIPKh catalysts

In the Russian Scientific Center Applied Chemistry catalysts have been developed for the gas-phase fluorination of organics, including chlorine-containing substances, hydrogenation and reductive amination of organic substances, decomposition of liquid substances to gases, complete oxidation and reduction, suitable for environment at protection.     

Development of phase composition for mixed Ni?Cu chromite catalysts. Conversions under calcination

IR spectroscopic and X-ray studies of variations in the composition of Ni, Cu and (Ni+Cu) ammonium chromates under thermal treatment show that the Ni–Cr system consists of spinel and NiO, and Cu–Cr systems consist of the spinel CuCr₂O₄ only. In mixed Ni–Cu–Cr systems part of Ni- and Cu-containing components remain independent and part of them form common Ni+Cu phases.

Mechanism of Formation of Tetrahydrofuran in the Catalytic Hydrogenation of Dialkyl Succinates

The kinetics of formation of tetrahydrofuran from dibutyl succinate were studied. The mechanism of catalytic hydrogenation of dialkyl succinates was found to involve consecutive formation of ?-butyrolactone, butane-1,4-diol, and tetrahydrofuran. Parameters of kinetic equations that properly describe the system of concurrent and consecutive reactions were determined.     

Optimization of technological parameters of the process for obtaining bisphenols on cation-exchange catalyst in the presence of hydrogen sulfide

Method for synthesis of bisphenols on a solid cation-exchange catalyst in the presence of hydrogen sulfide was optimized with respect to the main technological parameters. This method provides high yields of bisphenols obtained both on the basis of acetone and in the case of complex sterically hindered ketones: 9-fluorenone and dihydroisophorone.

Steric effects in the catalytic amination of γ-, δ-, and ε-glycols

The amination of butane-1,4-diol, isomeric dipropylene glycols, and cyclohexane-1,4-diyldimethanol in the presence of nickel/copper/chromium catalysts has been studied. The effect of the initial glycol structure on the reaction selectivity has been estimated.

Development of phase composition for mixed Ni?Cu chromite catalysts. Interaction of initial substances

IR spectroscopic and kinetic studies of the interaction between basic carbonates of Cu and Ni and H₂CrO₄ allows to suppose that catalyst formation is affected by different structures of the initial substances. The formation of mixed Ni–Cu–Cr phases is observed during the step of chromate formation and is preserved after treatment by ammonium.

Study of the effect of technological parameters of extractive wastewater purification in production of bisphenols

Effect of various technological parameters of the process in which wastewater formed in production of bisphenols is purified to remove phenol. The optimal parameters of the process were determined, with which a processed wastewater is obtained with phenol concentration that enables recycling of wastewater into the technological process and its partial delivery to treatment facilities.
