 A novel sensitive and simple method for rapid and selective extraction, preconcentration and determination of iron (as its bathophenanthroline complex) and copper (as its neocuproine complex) using octadecyl silica cartridges and dual wavelength spectrophotometry is presented. The dual wavelength method (533 nm for the iron-bathophenanthroline and 454 nm for the copper-neocuproine as the analytical wavelength) is used to eliminate spectral interferences. Extraction efficiency and the influence of flow rates of sample solution and eluent, pH, amount of neocuproine, bathophenanthroline and hydroxylamine hydrochloride, type and least amount of eluent for elution of iron and copper complexes from cartridge, break-through volume and limit of detection are evaluated. The effects of various cationic and anionic interferences on percent recovery of iron and copper are also studied. Extraction efficiencies >95% are obtained by elution of cartridges with minimal amount of organic solvent. Iron and copper were determined in the range of 3–100 ng mL−1. The limits of detection are 0.98 and 1.13 ng mL−1 for iron and copper, respectively. In this investigation, a mixed convective nanoparticles fluid flow over an inclined plate is deliberated. The effects of slip boundary wall and magnetic field are also considered. The dimensionless governing system for the considered problem is attained by implementing recent definitions of fractional derivatives (FD). The generalized solution is obtained through the Laplace Transformation Scheme (LTS) for the momentum and thermal expressions. To improve the novelty and to demonstrate some more physical perception of the stated research work, some remarkable special cases of velocity distribution through CF and AB-fractional derivative concept are addressed, whose daily life implication is well known in the existing literature. Moreover, to evaluate the physical interest of the stated problem, the outcomes of the obtained system graphical illustrations are made by utilizing MATHEMATICA. As a result, we concluded that the aluminium oxide Al2O3 nanoparticles show more decaying behavior as compared to titanium oxide TiO2 nanoparticles for temperature and velocity profile. Furthermore, both fields i.e., momentum and thermal distributions are increased with the help of rising estimations parameter. Current results report novel applications in enhancement of heat transfer, thermal engineering, chemical processes, engineering and electronics devices, solar systems, extrusion processes, fission reactions etc.  相似文献

The hydrodistilled oils from the aerial parts of Ferula latisecta and Mozaffariania insignis, which is endemic to Iran, were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. (Z)-Ocimenone (32.4%), (E)-ocimenone (20.3%), and cis-pinocarvone (11.4%) were the main components among the 22 constituents characterized in the oil of F. latisecta, representing 87.7% of the total components detected. Twenty-five compounds were identified in the oil of M. insignis, representing 99.0% of the total oil, with octyl acetate (41.1%), β-pinene (30.3%), and α-pinene (23.9%) as the main constituents. Contact angle (CA) hysteresis is the difference between the maximum (advancing) and minimum (receding) water CA. Hysteresis is caused by adhesion hysteresis in the solid–water contact area (2D effect) and by pinning of the solid–water–air triple line due to the surface roughness (1D effect). In this work, we show that CA hysteresis is present also in more complex systems, such as an organic liquid (oil) in contact with a solid immersed in water. In order to decouple the 1D and 2D effects, we study CA hysteresis in solid–water–air (droplet), solid–air–water (bubble), solid–water–oil, and solid–water–air–oil systems involving rough and microstructured surfaces. The comparative analysis of these systems allows decoupling the 1D and 2D effects as well as hydrogen bonding and entropic forces (water–air tension) and dispersion forces (oil–air tension).  相似文献

Orthogonal acceleration time‐of‐flight (oa‐TOF) mass spectrometry (MS) was coupled to gas chromatography (GC) to measure ion yields (ratio of ion counts to number of neutrals entering the ion source) and signal‐to‐noise (S/N) in the electron ionization (EI) mode (hard ionization) as well as in the soft ionization modes of chemical ionization (CI), electron capture negative ion chemical ionization (NICI) and field ionization (FI). Mass accuracies of the EI and FI modes were also investigated. Sixteen structurally diverse volatile organic compounds were chosen for this study. The oa‐TOF mass analyzer is highly suited for FI MS and provided an opportunity to compare the sensitivity of this ionization method to the more conventional ionization methods. Compared to the widely used quadrupole mass filter, the oa‐TOF platform offers significantly greater mass accuracy and therefore the possibility of determining the empirical formula of analytes. The findings of this study showed that, for the instrument used, EI generated the most ions with the exception of compounds able to form negative ions readily. Lower ion yields in the FI mode were generally observed but the chromatograms displayed greater S/N and in many cases gave spectra dominated by a molecular ion. Ion counts in CI are limited by the very small apertures required to maintain sufficiently high pressures in the ionization chamber. Mass accuracy for molecular and fragment ions was attainable at close to manufacturer's specifications, thus providing useful information on molecular ions and neutral losses. The data presented also suggests a potentially useful instrumental combination would result if EI and FI spectra could be collected simultaneously or in alternate scans during GC/MS. In spite of the extensive attention paid on the development of various DNA detection strategies, very few studies have been reported regarding direct detection of DNA sequence and mutation in dsDNA. Here, we describe the feasibility of detection and discrimination of target DNA sequences and single base mutations (SBM) directly in double‐stranded oligonucleotides and PCR products without the need for denaturation of the target dsDNA samples. This goal was achieved by employing a peptide nucleic acid (PNA) chain, self‐assembled on the gold electrode as a probe, which binds to dsDNA and forms PNA‐dsDNA hybrid.  相似文献

A nonsmooth and nonconvex general optimization problem is considered. Using the idea of pseudo-Jacobians, nonsmooth versions of the Robinson and Mangasarian–Fromovitz constraint qualifications are defined and relationships between them and the local error bound property are investigated. A new necessary optimality condition, based on the pseudo-Jacobians, is derived under the local error bound constraint qualification. These results are applied for computing and estimating the Fréchet and limiting subdifferentials of value functions. Moreover, several examples are provided to clarify the obtained results.  相似文献

Copper/carbon dot nanohybrids (Cu/CD NHs) were prepared via a facile precipitation method through a disproportionation reaction. The surface characterization was performed by various techniques such as XRD, FTIR and TEM. Then, water-based nanofluids composed of Cu/CD NHs at 0.1 and 0.5 mass% were prepared, and their thermo-physical properties including thermal conductivity, viscosity, density and specific heat were evaluated at various temperatures. The water-based Cu/CD nanofluid demonstrated to be a potential heat transfer fluid with a high stability. It was found that the thermal conductivity can be enhanced by increasing the nanoparticle concentration and temperature. Almost 1.25-fold increase in thermal conductivity has been achieved by raising the temperature up to 50 °C and at the concentration of 0.5 mass%. The heat capacity was found to increase with increasing concentration. Moreover, by increasing temperature the density and viscosity of the as-prepared nanofluid decreased, whereas the heat capacity showed an increasing trend.  相似文献

In this study, the transient response of multiple cracks subjected to shear impact load in a half-plane is investigated. At first, exact analytical solution for the transient response of Volterra-type dislocation in a half-plane is obtained by using the Cagniard-de Hoop method of Laplace inversion and is expressed in explicit forms. The distributed dislocation technique is used to construct integral equations for a half-plane weakened by multiple arbitrary cracks. These equations are of Cauchy singular type at the location of dislocation solved numerically to obtain the dislocation density on the cracks faces. The dislocation densities are employed to determine dynamic stress intensity factors history for multiple smooth cracks. Finally, several examples are presented to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed solution.  相似文献
