We use Brownian dynamics (BD), molecular dynamics, and dissipative particle dynamics to study the phase behavior of diblock copolymer melts and to determine if hydrodynamics is required in the formation of phases with greater than one-dimensional periodicity. We present a phase diagram for diblock copolymers predicted by BD and provide a relationship between the inverse dimensionless temperature epsilon/k(B)T and the Flory-Huggins chi parameter, allowing for a quantitative comparison between methods and to mean field predictions. Our results concerning phase behavior are in good qualitative agreement with the theoretical predictions of Matsen and Bates [M. W. Matsen and F. S. Bates, Macromolecules 29, 1091 (1996)]; however, fluctuation effects arising from finite polymer lengths substantially alter the phase boundaries. Our results pertaining to the hydrodynamics are in contrast to earlier work by Groot et al. [R. D. Groot, T. J. Madden, and D. J. Tildesley, J. Chem. Phys. 110, 9739 (1999); D. Frenkel and B. Smit, Understanding Molecular Simulation, 2nd ed. (Academic, New York, 2001)]. A new micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) method using beta-cyclodextrins (β-CDs) and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphates (ionic liquids) as additives was successfully developed for determination of para-, meta-, and ortho-phenylenediamines isomers (p-P, m-P, and o-P) in hair dyes. To improve the sensitivity of the MEKC-UV, a simple and cheap flow injection (FI) technique using a micro-column packed with coal cinders (the by-products from combustion in a boiler) as solid-phase extractant was also investigated. In the presence of 20 mmol L(-1) phosphates at pH 5.5, addition of 12 mmol L(-1) ionic liquids and 8 mmol L(-1) β-CDs greatly improved the separation efficiency. The three analytes could be quantitatively adsorbed by coal cinders, and desorbed readily with 0.15 mL of 0.01 mol L(-1) NaOH. Under the optimum conditions, an enrichment factor (EF) of 33.3 was obtained, and determination limits of p-P, m-P, and o-P were 1.97?×?10(-7), 0.99?×?10(-7), and 0.61?×?10(-7) mol L(-1), respectively. The adsorption capacities of the coal cinders micro-column for p-P, m-P, and o-P were all 1.20 mg g(-1). The presented procedure was successfully applied to the determination of p-P, m-P, and o-P in hair dyes with satisfactory results. 相似文献

We perform Brownian dynamics simulations on model 3-D systems of mono-tethered nanospheres (TNS) to study the equilibrium morphologies formed by their self-assembly in a selective solvent. We predict that in contrast to flexible amphiphiles the nanospheres are locally ordered and there is an increase in the local order with an increase in concentration or relative nanoparticle diameter. We present the temperature vs concentration phase diagram for a system of TNS and propose a dimensionless scaling factor F(v) (headgroup volume/tether volume) that allows a comparison between the morphologies formed from TNS and traditional surfactants. 相似文献

A flameless atomizer for atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS), based on an atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge, has been developed for the atomization of hydride-forming elements, such as Se, Sb and Pb. The atomizer (8 mm o.d, 35 mm length) was operated at a power less than 50 W. The discharge was sustained with argon at the flow rate of 0.85 L min− 1 after optimization. The characteristics of the atomizer and the effects of different parameters (power, gas flow rate, and KBH4 concentration) are investigated. The most attractive feature of this atomizer is its low operation temperature (~ 52 °C, detected at the outlet of the atomizer by a thermocouple), allowing both the radiation source and the detector to be placed in close proximity with the atomizer. The analytical performance of the atomizer has been evaluated, and detection limits for Se, Sb and Pb obtained with the present technique were 0.08, 0.11 and 0.27 μg L− 1, respectively. The accuracy of the system was verified by the determination of Se, Sb and Pb in reference material of spinage GBW 10015. The concentrations of Se, Sb, and Pb determined by the present technique agreed well with the reference values (Se: 92 ± 24 mg kg− 1, Sb: 43 ± 14 mg kg− 1, Pb: 11.1 ± 0.9 mg kg− 1). This detector is very promising for field elements detection with portable AFS. 相似文献
