A crystalline quartz plate of thickness 1.070 mm is calibrated between 370 and 794 nm. Throughout this spectral interval, the retardance varied by 32π and the plate introduced quarterwave retardance 16 times at different wavelengths. The birefringence (neno) of crystalline quartz was calculated as a single quantity and varied from 0.00971 at 370 nm to 0.00891 at 794 nm. All measurements were carried out at 23°C.  相似文献

Summary Thermal degradation under N2atmosphere and thermoxidative degradation under air atmosphere of increasingly grafting efficiency values (i.e. GE%=0.0 to 35.5) for starch and starch grafted with N-tert-butylacrylamide thermosensitive copolymers (starch-g-BAM) by Ozawa and Kissinger methods using thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry techniques (DSC) at 10, 30 and 50% mass losses respectively have been studied. Influence of physical inter and intra molecular interactions on grafting and consequently on activation energy of degradation (Ea,d) was investigated using Ozawa's method, whereas linear dependence of Ea,don GE% by scaling relations using Kissinger's method was determined. Furthermore, the thermoxidative degradation induces the possibility of molecular rearrangement, cyclization and partial crosslinking that is deduced from the activation energy of degradation (Ea,d) and residual mass of TG profile. Thermal stability of starch does not alter as a result of different grafting efficiency percentages.  相似文献

The Poincaré sphere representation of polarization states is used to derive two auxiliary equations for phase retardance measurements. These equations, in addition to another two previously derived equations, allow for extending the range of validity of a model for calibrating phase plates in pairs. In another application, the sphere is used to explain a new method for identifying the principal axes of two birefringent phase plates during their calibration.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of Eucalptus Camaldulensis and Cotton Stalks at different heating rates showed three exothermic peaks. The heating rate is the factor that affects their sharpness and position. The peaks are sharp at low heating rates. Equilibrium-based computer models using MINIQUAD-75 program were utilized to determine the stoichiometry and formation constants involved in the systems pyridoxamine(Pm)-glycine (Gly)-imidazole (lmd) with CO(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) metal ions. The data were obtained from potentiometric pH titration of the various binary and ternary quaternary systems under physiological-like conditions (0.15 M NaNO3-37°C). Various composition ratios of metal and ligands were used. The ligand concentrations did not exceed 4 times the concentration of metal ion in the binary systems and 4 times of the metal ions in ternary systems. In case of the quaternary systems only imidazole concentrations were two or four times the concentrations of metal ions keeping those of other ligands equal to that of metal ions. The stability constants of the quaternary species are discussed in terms of binary and ternary constants as are the effect of ring size on the stability of mixed ligand species. In addition, electrostatic as well as statistical effects also are mentioned and the biological implications of these model equilibria are described.  相似文献

The diastereoselective syntheses of Zn(II) bis(dipyrrinato) helicates is reported, involving ligands templated by the incorporation of homochiral binol within the linker joining the two dipyrrinato units. The most diastereoselective formation of dinuclear bis(dipyrrinato) helicates to date is reported. The formation of either mononuclear or dinuclear helicates can be tuned by varying the length of the linker between the dipyrrinato units and by varying the complexation procedure. The neutral dipyrrinato helicates were readily analyzed by HPLC to ascertain diastereoselectivity, and circular dichroism studies revealed the helical nature of the complexes. The molar ellipticities of the helicates produced by diastereoselective complexation are very large in the visible region and typically correspond to binol moieties in the UV region. Extensive X-ray crystallographic investigations further confirmed the helicity of the mononuclear Zn(II) helicates and identified significant interlayer displacement and bending within crystals.  相似文献

The effect of HeNe laser on the extracellular matrix deposition, chemokine expression and angiogenesis in experimental paracoccidioidomycotic lesions was investigated. At days 7, 8 and 9 postinfection the wound of each animal was treated with a 632.8 nm HeNe laser at a dose of 3 J cm(-2). At day 10 postinfection, the wounds were examined by using histologic and immunohistochemical methods. Results revealed that laser-treated lesions were lesser extensive than untreated ones, and composed mainly by macrophages and lymphocytes. High IL-1beta expression was shown in the untreated group whereas in laser-treated animals the expression was scarce. On the other hand, the expression of CXCL-10 was found to be reduced in untreated animals and quite intensive and well distributed in the laser-treated ones. Also, untreated lesions presented vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in a small area near the center of the lesion and high immunoreactivity for hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1), whereas laser-treated lesions expressed VEGF surrounding blood vessels and little immunoreactivity for HIF-1. Laser-treated lesions presented much more reticular fibers and collagen deposition when compared with the untreated lesion. Our results show that laser was efficient in minimizing the local effects observed in paracoccidioidomycosis and can be an efficient tool in the treatment of this infection, accelerating the healing process.  相似文献

A method to derive the stiffness of self-similar elastic fractals is presented based on structural mechanics principles and a physically motivated similarity criterion, which is assumed as a postulate. Using this method, the stiffnesses of both the Von Koch curve and the Sierpiński gasket in the small-deformation regime are derived. For these fractal structures, it is shown that the stiffness matrix is completely determined by a single elastic constant. The procedure to tile a planar domain with Sierpiński gaskets is explored and shown to require the consideration of hexagonal-shaped combinations of gaskets joined continuously along their edges. This continuity leads to a phenomenon of geometrically induced inextensibility along the common edges. After deriving the stiffness matrix for the basic hexagon, the analog of the Boussinesq–Flamant problem for a tiled half-plane is solved numerically to demonstrate the potential of the method in modeling of solid mechanics applications.  相似文献
