The effect of the replacement of MnO2 by Fe2O3 on the oxidation states of iron in some lithium borosilicate glasses were studied using Mössbauer spectroscopy. DTA and infrared measurements showed the presence of two glassy phases, one of them containing iron and the other manganese. The Mössbauer spectra were measured at room temperature for all the glass samples. The spectra revealed the presence of Fe ions only in ferric state in both tetrahedral and octahedral coordination. Also, it was observed that the ratio between the number of iron ions in both coordination states has not changed with the increase of MnO2 content.  相似文献

TiO2 thin films were prepared under various conditions by using a reactive RF sputtering technique. The structural, optical and electrical characteristics of the films have been investigated. All as-deposited films were amorphous. After annealing at T > 673 K, the crystallinity of the observed tetragonal anatase phase appeared improved. The optical band gap, determined by using Tauc plot, has been found to amount to 3.38 ± 0.03 and 3.21 ± 0.03 eV for the direct and indirect transition, respectively. Also the complex optical constants for the wavelength range 300-2500 nm are reported. Using the two-point probe technique, the dark resistivity has been measured as a function of the film thickness, d. The resistivity, ρ, of the samples has been found to decrease markedly with increasing thickness, but only for d < 100 nm. The behaviour of ρd versus d was found to fit properly with the Fuchs and Sondheimer relation with parameters ρo = 4.95 × 106 Ω cm and mean free path, l = 310 ± 2 nm. The log ρ versus 1/T curves show three distinct regions with values for the activation energy of 0.03 ± 0.01, 0.17 ± 0.01 and 0.50 ± 0.02 eV, respectively.  相似文献

Although 125I-hydroxypindolol (125I-HYP) has been an excellent probe of adenoceptor function in certain tissues, but 125I-pindolol (125I-PIN) was found more specific for -adrenoceptor labeling. This study describes a fast and efficient method for radiolabeling of pindolol with iodine-125, where both chloramine-T and iodogen were used as oxidizing agents. The use of iodogen coated glass frit has a great advantage in increasing the radiochemical yield of 125I-pindolol and this was attributed to the increase of the interphaces boundary between the solid and liquid. This technique reduces the quantity of iodogen required to produce high radiochemical yield by its half. The radiochemical yield was determined by TLC system using chloroform: acetic acid: water (15:4:1) as developing solvent and by HPLC using reversed phase RP-18 column and acetonitrile: 0.1M ammonium bicarbonate pH 7.5 (1:1) as a mobile phase at flow rate (1ml/min). The radiochemical yield was found to be 48.6 and 62.9% respectively.  相似文献

A new colorimetric method for the determination of carboxylic acids using bromocresol green reagent is established. The formed color follows Beer's Lambert law and is stable for 24 hr. The method is successfully applied for measuring the disappearance of volatile fatty acids in P. oxalicum culture media. The method is reproducable and is used also for the quantitative determination of carboxylic acids in Dowex 1-X8 eluates. A linear relationship between the pK1 of different carboxylic acids and the calculated molar extinction coefficients of the color formed at 440 nm is demonstrated.  相似文献

Abstract

In the present study, evaluation of the antiproliferative activity of Pachypodium lamerei Drake leaves (family Apocyaceae) against human breast cancer cell lines MDA-MB-231 was done for the total methanolic extract, crude alkaloidal mixture and ursolic acid using the MTT colorimetric assay. The methanolic extract showed the strongest antiproliferative activity followed by ursolic acid and crude alkaloidal fraction with an IC50 equal to 6.2, 14.55 and 56.3?µg/ml respectively compared to oleocanthal. It is the first record for the LC/ESI-MS/MS alkaloidal profiling of the leaves of P. lamerei. Seven alkaloids were tentatively identified according to their fragmentation patterns. Four alkaloids were related to the parent indole class and two alkaloids belong to the quinoline class in addition to one steroidal alkaloid with a pregnan nucleus. Phytochemical investigation of the methanolic extract led to the isolation of three triterpenoidal compounds including ursolic acid, 11,12-didehydroursolic acid lactone and ursolic acid lactone.  相似文献

New carbohydrazone ligand derived from the condensation of carbohydrazide and ethyl acetoacetate, diethyl 3,3′‐(carbonylbis (hydrazin‐2‐yl‐1‐ylidene))(3E,3′E)‐dibutyrate (H4EBC), and its divalent Co, Ni and Cu chelates have been isolated and characterized utilizing convenient methods. 1H‐NMR spectrum of H4EBC revealed the abundance of the enol isomer in solution, which was the opposite to what was shown by the solid IR. This was supported by comparing the theoretical IR of both keto and enol forms. In [Ni(H4EBC)Cl2(H2O)]·2H2O, H4EBC acts as a neutral NON tridentate ligand via the (C=O)carbonyl oxygen atom besides the two (C=N)azomethine nitrogen atoms, while in [Co(H4EBC)Cl2(2H2O)]·2H2O, H4EBC behaves as a neutral NN bidentate ligand through the two azomethine groups. Magnetic measurements inherent to their electronic spectra show that both Ni (II) and Co (II) chelates have octahedron coordination frameworks. On the other hand, the ligand behaves as a binegative tetradentate in [Cu2(H4EBC)Cl2]·H2O via the deprotonated (C=O)carbonyl groups of the ethyl acetoacetate framework and the two (C=N)azomethine groups. In the latter complex, the carbonyl group of the carbohydrazide moiety is converted to hydroxyl group. Cu (II) complex has a tetrahedral geometry according to ESR and electronic spectral data. The reaction of H4EBC with SmCl3·6H2O or LnCl3·7H2O gave single crystals of abnormal product (C16H16N4O4). The packing diagram of this crystal has a chain structure. The photoluminescence spectra of [Cu 2 (H 4 EBC)Cl 2 ]·H 2 O , [Co(H 4 EBC)Cl 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]·2H 2 O and [Ni(H 4 EBC)Cl 2 (H 2 O)]·2H 2 O display emission broad‐bands at 342, 321 and 337 nm, respectively. The microbial behavior of the synthesized moieties was investigated against various bacterial and fungal strains. [Cu2(H4EBC)Cl2]·H2O complex shows the same activity as ampicillin towards Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus with inhibition zones of 26 and 22 mm, respectively. Antioxidant activity is determined using bleomycin‐dependent DNA damage assay besides erythrocyte hemolysis. Finally, in vitro cytotoxic activities against two different cell lines have been examined.  相似文献

In order to synthesize new polyamide(PA) 5 and copolyamides(Co PA) 7a-7d, a new-type of dicarboxylic acid containing triazine ring was successfully synthesized from 2,4-dichloro-6-methoxy-s-triazine 1 and 4-aminobenzoic acid. New polyamide 5 containing triazine moiety was prepared from 4,4'-(6-methoxy-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diyl)bis(azanediyl)dibenzoic acid 3 and 4,4′-diaminodiphenylether by direct polycondensation reaction. Then new series thermally stable copolyamides 7a-7d with high solubility in common organic solvents were synthesized from the direct polycondensation reaction of diacid 3 as a first monomer, aliphatic-aromatic diacids 6a-6d as second diacids and 4,4′-diaminodiphenylether. All of the above polymers were fully characterized by 1H-NMR and FTIR spectroscopy, elemental analysis(CHN), inherent viscosity, solubility tests, gel permeation chromatography(GPC), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). The resulted Co PAs 7a-7d have shown good inherent viscosities, solubility and thermal properties.  相似文献
