A study of the mechanism and kinetics of interaction between nepheline powder and ammonium hydrofluoride

Behavior of a skeleton silicate, nepheline, in the reaction of fluorination with ammonium hydrofluoride was studied by means of differential-thermal, X-ray phase, and chemical analyses, IR spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.     

Structure of paniculamine,a new alkaloid fromAconitum paniculatum

Aconitine, mesaconitine, and a new alkaloid, which has been called altaconitine, have been isolated from the total alkaloids of the epigeal part ofAconitum altaicum. Catalpa oil seeds. II

Summary The results of the investigation of the glyceride composition of three samples of the seeds oils of various species of catalpa from different growth sites have shown a great similarity in the amounts of certain groups of triglycerides that they contain, in spite of the considerable differences in the fatty-acid compositions of these samples. An unusual affinity of unsaturated acids for the central position of the glycerol molecule and also a specificity of eleostearic acid in esterifying the extreme positions of the glycerol molecule in catalpa seed oils have been found.Kalinin Polytechnic Institute. Alkaloids of Aconitum talassicum

Three new C-20 diterpene alkaloids (talassamine (I), talassimidine (II), and talassimine (III)) and the known alkaloid lappaconitine have been isolated from the epigeal part ofAconitum talassicum (Ranunculaceae). Germacranolide fromTanacetopsis mucronata

A sesquiterpene lactone of the germacrane series, mucrochin, has been isolated from the epigeal part ofTanacetopsis mucronata, and its structure has been studied by IR and mass spectral methods and PMR spectroscopy. It structure has been determined unambiguously by x-ray structural analysis as 5,6-dihydroxy-5α,6β,7α,8β(H)-germacra-1(10),4(15) 1(13)-trien-8,12-olide. Phosphorylated azahomo[60]fullerene: synthesis and electrochemical properties

A reaction of [60]fullerene with O,O-dibutyl azidophosphate affords a first representative of phosphorylated azahomo[60]fullerenes, which is easier to reduce electrochemically than the starting C₆₀.
